//------------------------------// // Stealing candy from Rainbow Dash // Story: She loves Trixie, right? // by starwantrix //------------------------------// Trixie stood outside Rainbow’s room, she was flabbergasted. Why did Trixie kiss Rainbow’s cheek? It was such an impulsive action, almost reflexive. She wanted to regret this and scold herself, but despite the initial shock at her own actions, Trixie smiled, content. It was nice, she wished she could have done it more.  So what are we now, Trixie wondered. Are we actually dating? Trixie thought for a while, not quite sure if they were. Rainbow never asked Trixie out, so technically they weren’t dating, but Trixie felt like they already did. Does she have to say the l-word to make it official? Or maybe… Trixie wondered, there is a much better thing. She gently rummaged through her pocket, searching for something wonderful she discovered early this day. There it was a smushed up, but looking good enough, a petalless daisy flower. She smiled happily at this little flower.  Trixie went inside Lavender’s room to an intensive game match. Lavender and Fuchsia were on the edge of their seats, playing a game called Crash Bash. The sound of clicking buttons of game controllers filled the room and overly enthusiastic shouting, “No, no! Quickly, dash that way!” Fuchsia yelled as Lavender’s game character barely escaped the rocket. “Oh, that was so close!” Lavender couldn’t believe that they almost finished the boss level. “Hey, guys, do we ha-” Trixie gently tapped Lavender’s shoulder,  “Trixie, I’m in the middle of something, please!” Lavender shouted a bit, which was unusual for her, Fuchsia was the one to lose temper quickly. She must be really invested in defeating a game boss, which appears to be a polar bear on a submarine. “Lavender~, Trixie desperately needs a photo frame, do you have one?” “No, uh! Yes! Trixie, check somewhere there,” Lavender ambiguously pointed with her head towards a general area of nowhere.  “Come on, Lavender you got this!” Fuchsia pumped her fist, supporting her friend. Apparently her character was disqualified, so all the hope was on Lavender. “Where? Here?” Trixie opened the wardrobe, checking in various compartments, socks, underwear, bra. As if a photo frame was hidden there. Trixie was beginning to feel frustrated that Lavender prioritized a stupid game over Trixie’s needs.  Trixie came close to Lavender on her left side and yelled, “It’s not there!” startling Lavender who fumbled with her controller and the ‘game over’ screen appeared on the monitor. Her controller hit the coffee table and thus a tall glass of cola got spilt all over the sleeping bag that rested nearby.  “Oh my god!” Lavender exclaimed, “Fuchs go get the towels, quick!” “On it! Don’t call me that!” Fuchsia went to the kitchen and then returned with a bunch of towels. Unfortunately for them, any liquid has the property of soaking really quickly into any kind of textile material, so no amount of fresh towels could save the ruined sleeping bag.  Lavender stared at the ruined material and then at the screen monitor that mockingly said ‘Game over’. Meanwhile, Trixie scooted over and gingerly addressed Lavender. “So~, are you gonna help Trixie find a photo frame?” Trixie asked rather unceremoniously, clearly not seeing her fault in this mess. Lavender sighed, “Trixie, you’re goddamn lucky, that you’re adorable, I can’t be mad at you.” Lavender stood up with the sleeping bag in tow, she then went to the bathroom and stuffed it into the washing machine. After a couple minutes she returned, went to the wardrobe, opened a middle compartment, there were various trinkets, jewelry, etc. She rummaged through it for a few seconds and pulled out a photo frame. “Thank you, thank you!” Trixie jumped up and down as she expressed her gratitude. “So, we have only one sleeping bag left, so one of you will have to take the couch.” Before Lavender could finish the word ‘couch’, she was interrupted “Not it!” Fuchsia exclaimed loudly. “N-not it, not it! O-oh, shoot…” Trixie followed, but it was too late. The rules of not it were very clear, whoever said ‘not it’ last loses.  Lavender smirked, it felt bad to punish Trixie like that, but she did ruin the gaming session. Serves her right, the couch at their residence was comfortable for sitting or just relaxing, but not for sleeping. Trixie has learned it the hard way, when she fell out of the couch several times over the night she had slept over Lavender’s place. Trixie was disappointed in her slow reflexes in recognizing when to say ‘not it’, she always loses this stupid game. It’s just not fair to people who are not so quick and attentive.  Well, at least she got the photo frame, Trixie secured the petalless flower in there. It looked rather nice, quite beautiful, and almost magical. Even though it was just a dead dried up flower, yet it meant the world to Trixie. … This was quite the day, Rainbow tossed and turned, not being able to find the perfect lying spot in the bed. This was by no means the bed's fault, the sheets were pristine and of top material, the pillow practically hugged her head. She felt exhausted by today’s events, yet the sleep just eluded her. Why wasn’t she able to sleep? Perhaps, it was Trixie’s fault! That stupid cheeky, adorable girl, she just kept popping into Rainbow’s head without her consent. She wished she could just turn off her brain, just for a couple of hours to stop thinking very intrusive thoughts. Oh, another thought of Trixie’s beautiful eyes came unannounced into her mind, so rude. At least knock before making Rainbow question her sanity once again. Her heart beat unusually fast, like she was running on a soccer field, playing with her buddies. It’s really hard to stop thinking about something specific, the more you resist, the more you think about the subject you would want to avoid. It’s a paradox.  Rainbow felt the spot where Trixie had kissed her. Left cheek. She could still feel the soft texture of those lips against her skin. Oh my god. Rainbow covered her head with a blanket. This is hopeless. She threw the blanket off of her body and got up, sighing. Hopefully the glass of water will help her fall asleep.  She approached the door reaching for the handle, before she could turn the door, it opened to a Trixie, who was wearing an oversized shirt and she clutched in her arms a photo frame, but Rainbow couldn’t see what it was. Their eyes met, and Trixie looked surprised. “What are you doing?” They both asked each other at the same time. Uncanny. Rainbow stuttered a bit, at a loss for words, she collected herself and asked, “Trixie, are you trying to sneak into my room?”  “No, maay-... bee? Why aren’t you sleeping? Go back to bed, silly. Otherwise, Trixie can’t sneak into the room.” Trixie gently turned Rainbow towards bed and pushed her, which had no effect on Rainbow, weak arms. “I-uh, what? I can’t fall asleep, and why are you trying to sneak into my room in the first place?” Rainbow refused to go to bed much to Trixie’s chagrin as she put her whole body weight to move Rainbow, but her weak physique and lack of height advantage rendered her efforts completely null. “Well, can’t you pretend to be asleep?” Trixie grunted as she pushed Rainbow with both her arms. “Trixie lost a sleeping battle with the couch, so she was hoping that you could help her, come on-, w-whoa!”  Rainbow did a side step, so when Trixie pushed Rainbow with both her arms she suddenly didn’t have support  so she lost her balance and tripped, doing a little somersault, falling face first onto the bed.  The photo frame that Trixie had with her has fallen out of her hands during this, uh, let’s say a magic trick, because Trixie never trips. She did that on purpose. Rainbow picked up the photo frame and turned it over, a petalless flower met her eyes, she knew what this meant, she stammered a bit, but before she could say anything, Trixie eagerly asked her, “Do you like it?”  “W-what is this?” Rainbow felt the need to ask Trixie despite knowing the answer already. Trixie slowly stood up and approached Rainbow, “This is the proof of our love, duh.” She said it so nonchalantly as if this was common knowledge. She took Rainbow’s hand and put the photo frame on a nearby stand, she gingerly led her towards the bed. “U-uh, T-trixie, I’m gonna go sleep on the couch.” Rainbow said so quickly, jumbling the words and stuttering while being a hot blushing mess as she let go of Trixie’s hand and turned around, panicking a lot, and finding it hard to breathe. This is happening too fast, Rainbow can’t handle this amount of Trixie all on her own. Just as she started walking, she stopped in her tracks. Trixie pressed her body against Rainbow’s from behind and wrapped her arms around her stomach, holding her in place, “Never ever leave me alone, dummy…” With encouraging hugs and words of affection Trixie managed to lure Rainbow into bed, they lied a bit awkwardly, not knowing how to proceed. The bed was small for two people, the blanket was as well, in order to be comfortable they would have to be really close to each other. Rainbow kept her distance as far away as possible, which was really hard, considering the fact that she was trapped, quite literally cornered by Trixie against the wall.  “Hey, Rainbow?” Trixie asked, it seemed that Trixie was completely unaware of Rainbow's little bit of gay panic mode. “Y-yeah?” Rainbow asked, while trying to avoid looking at Trixie. “Are you asleep?” Trixie continued pushing on Rainbow’s buttons, quite literally as her hand reached for Rainbow’s pajama’s buttons. “Of course not, why-” Rainbow smiled a bit, Trixie continued being such a dork. “Well, maybe you’re just talking in your sleep. How would Trixie know?” This caught Rainbow off guard as she sniggered at Trixie. Her laughter stopped though, as Trixie scooted closer, wrapping her arms around Rainbow’s neck. She could feel Trixie’s fragrance, it intoxicated her.  A touch of cinnamon with a jasmine accent, Rainbow’s mind swam, as she barely registered what Trixie said next, “Have you ever kissed anyone, Rainbow?”. Rainbow could only squirm in silence as Trixie now put her leg over hers.  “Trixie has read on the internet that french kissing is like trying to steal a candy from another person’s mouth with your tongue…” Trixie whispered in Rainbow’s ear. Rainbow turned to face Trixie, which was a grave mistake as those piercing violet eyes stared right into her soul. At this moment, Rainbow felt so fragile, if looks could kill, this would be the one to be the deadliest.  “Trixie would like to steal your candy, Rainbow…” as she leaned in and kissed her unannounced, trying to steal nonexistent confectionery out of Rainbow’s mouth, doing with her tongue as she pleased. Rainbow Dash could resist, but she chose not to, allowing Trixie to commit thievery of one nonexistent candy.
