21. Traveling Through the Past

In a hidden location, Holly Prema sits on a chair as she faces her mysterious boss. This time, however, she wasn't tied at all
"Do you wonder why I didn't tie you up this time?" The mysterious one asked.
"No, sir." Holly replied. "Usually you have me bound and give me angry lectures."
"This time, you came close of sending Diamond Tiara back home. True, she's probably going back on her journey. But, you had her rattled for a bit."
"I figured if I can't harm her physically, I can hurt her mentally. My Noctowl must've unlocked some painful memories."
The shadowy person rubbed his hands together pleasingly. "Not a bad idea, actually. Miss Tiara is probably going to continue her journey. I'm guessing she's heading for Fuschia City."
Holly's eyes widened. "Must be a Pokémon Gym there."
"Follow that young lady. Think of some other method of psychological warfare. And, bring her down!"
"Aye aye, sir."
Holly left for her dark mission. The next day, Diamond Tiara and her friends are ready to head out for Fuschia City.
"I wish you luck, Diamond." Apple Bloom said proudly.
"Thanks, Apple Bloom." Diamond replied as she hugs her friend. "Have a safe trip back to Canterlot."
"Say hi to the Rainbooms for us." Babs added.
"We will." Scootaloo said. "Good bye."
The three friends leave the cabin, and continue their travels. As they travel through Route 13. The girls are looking forward for Diamond Tiara's fifth gym battle.
"I can't believe I have four gym badges." Diamond said. "I'm halfway to entering the Pokémon League."
"Don't forget," Silver reminded, "you need four more badges."
A thought came into Babs Seed's head. "I still can't believe that you used to be one of the most snobbish girls in Canterlot."
"I certainly was." Diamond said. "And, Silver and I brought trouble to those Cutie Mark Crusaders. But one day, things changed for the both of us."

Silver and I were on our way back to my house when we look in the direction of Sweet Apple Acres. Apple Bloom and her two friends were talking about their favorite movies, thinking of how their sisters praise them, and stuff like that. Soon, a thought came to my mind
"Silver," Diamond said, "despise what we try to do to them, those three still tough it out. They help each other through the toughest times. Do you think it would hurt our pride, if we visit them?"
"This could mean the end of our rivalry against them for good." Silver figured.
"Indeed. Come on, Silver. Let's go."
So, we swung by Sweet Apple Acres. We deeply apologized to the girls for what we've done. And, asked if there's a way to make up for our misdeeds. That's when Apple Bloom has an offer.
"We're gathering at Rarity's house for a slumber party." Sweetie Belle told them. "How about tagging along?"
"No joke?" Diamond gasped.
"No joke." Scootaloo answered. "You don't have to follow your mother's examples all the time."
After thinking about it, Diamond shook Sweetie Belle's hand in friendship. "It's a deal."

"Apple Bloom told me about that when I visited her one day." Babs realized. "I guess that's the start of following your own path."
"Indeed." Diamond replied. "In the weeks that followed. Me and Silver were learning more and more about the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Father was very proud of me to shed my prissy side for my new friends. My mother was very unsure about it. One day, she learned what I never thought possible."

Diamond and Silver were hanging out with Apple Bloom. Diamond wore a pink T shirt and bib overalls. Silver wore a sky blue long sleeve shirt and blue jeans with black suspenders. Spoiled Rich came over and confronted her daughter.
"Diamond Tiara!" Spoiled shouted. "Is this where you hang out lately? With these laid back farm folks?"
"Yes, mother." Diamond replied. "Apple Bloom and her family understand me more than you ever did!"
Spoiled Rich looked at her, then calmed down. "Your father is right. This IS a nice change for you."
This was a big shock to Diamond as her mother continued. "I guess you're old enough to make your own decisions. Those girls of the CMCs taught you things I never did." She then hugged her daughter. "I'm so proud of you."
Silver and Apple were very happy for this moment. Spoiled soon looked at her daughter's outfit. "Next time you show off that barefoot farm girl look, you should have a straw hat to complete it."
"No joke?" Diamond asked.
"No joke, dear. It would look so adorable on you."
This made Diamond very happy.

"And, we've been doing well together ever since." Diamond said.
"So, why would you mother lash on you on the last day of school ,this year?" Babs asked.
This made Diamond Tiara uneasy. "You heard of that, huh?"
"Yup. Apple Bloom saw that and told me about it."
"I wonder if somebody got to my mother and influenced her to be her old self."
The girls all wonder about that. Who would have Spoiled Rich be brutal to her again? As the trio travel, they spotted their goal.
"There it is, girls." Diamond said. "Fuchsia City."
The girls enter the city. At the Pokémon Center, the girls plan for their time. Diamond took out two of her Poké Balls and threw them in the air. Out pops a yellow with white around it's neck and a holding a pendulum. Also, what looks like a trio of brown creatures. Babs and Silver are shocked.
"Whoa!" Silver gasped. "A Hypno and Dugtrio."
"Must've been from some of those battles on the way here." Babs figured.
Diamond played back info on her two Pokémon. First, info on Hypno. Hypno, the Hypnosis Pokémon and the evolved form of Drowzee. When it swings it's pendulum, it can hypnotize anything. Then, info on Dugtrio. Dugtrio, the Mole Pokémon and the evolved form of Diglett. This Diglett trio combine to dig up the ground. Nobody knows what the body looks like because only the heads are seen.
The girls are all impressed with these two Pokémon. Diamond especially. "This will help me well with my fifth gym battke."
