At the Isle of Scaly, during the dragons’ sleep, Lava and Jade are having a dream about being turned back to normal after being manipulated by Opaline to cause a magical crisis in Equestria, but all Lava and Jade can do right now is get some sleep and pretend none of this ever happened.
Inside Lava and Jade’s dream, Opaline is seen spying on the dragons, looking for Lava and Jade, to use them for her evil plans.
Blaize looked up at Opaline. “Hey, who are you, and what are you doing here?” She asked.
“You can call me, Opaline Arcana, and I want to take two of your pathetic friends and use them for my evil plans. Once I have them, Equestria will be all mine.” The evil alicorn said as she laughed evilly.
“You’re not harming any of us, not today.” said Tumble.
Opaline used her magic to blast the dragons, but the dragons ran away to prevent from getting caught. That’s when Lava and Jade use their dragonfire to try and attack Opaline in return, but Opaline used her magic again to knock out the dragons, except Lava and Jade, who were taken by the evil alicorn.
“LAVA! JADE! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” The dragons cried out.
“I’ll take your pathetic little friends with me, and there’s nothing you can do to stop me now.” Opaline said, laughing evilly again.
“NO!!!” Lava and Jade screamed in horror as they woke up.
“What was that, Lava?” Jade asked.
“I don’t know.” Lava replied. “It sounds like we just had a nightmare about the evil alicorn coming back.”
“A NIGHTMARE??? NO!!!” Jade said in fear. “You know what that means right?”
“YOUR SPIKENESS??? EVERYDRAGON??? SPARKY??? PONIES??? WHERE ARE YOU???” Lava and Jade screamed in horror.
“Oh no. Lava and Jade.” Blaize said. “We have to talk to them.”
“What if they’re in trouble again, or worse?” Luxxe asked.
“It can’t be because of the evil alicorn this time.” Fountain said.
“What if it’s something else?” Leaf asked. “After all, they woke us up with their screaming.”
“Come on dragons, that alicorn is gone.” Tumble said. “I’m pretty sure they’re doing just fine. Just a little nightmare.”
“Don’t jinx it, Tumble.” Leaf responded.
“Oh, oops.” Tumble replied.
“Dragons.” Lava and Jade said as they approached their friends.
“Lava, Jade. What happened? What’s going on?” said Blaize in worry.
“Yeah, your screaming has us woken up in the middle of the night last night.” Luxxe said.
“Luxxe’s right.” Fountain said. “You really didn’t need to do that. Besides, you probably woke up not only us dragons, but the ponies with your loudness.”
Then, the Mane 6 and Sparky arrived on the Marestream. “We heard everything coming from Maretime Bay, no wonder why I was getting so many complaints from ponies last night and even this morning. I mean, just look at Sparky.” Hitch responded with a traumatized Sparky on his hooves.
“We want answers, now.” Zipp said in anger. “Why did you wake all of us up last night? Was something bothering you?”
“Oh, it was bad.” Lava said. “Me and Jade had a very bad nightmare last night.”
“Is it about Opaline this time?” Sunny asked. “I’m sure that there’s nothing to worry about.”
“Yeah, Opaline is gone.” Pipp said.
“What Lava is trying to say is that it was very bad.” Jade said in panic. “We were dreaming about the time Opaline dragon-napped us. It started when we were in the middle of the dragon hibernation.”
“Then, Opaline challenged us to a tough battle.” Lava continued. “After that, she knocked our friends out, and she took the two of us to her castle.”
“Then she casted a spell on us, and she made us do her evil plans.” Jade finished the story.
“You are just like me.” Misty said. “I too was being told by Opaline about what to do. She made me dragon-nap Sparky so that she could get most of his dragonfire, but luckily, my friends were there to protect me the whole way through. You can be the same. Your friends will be here to protect you the whole way through, just like me.”
“The Misty pony is right.” Luxxe said. “We, as your friends will be here to protect you no matter what.”
“Luxxe is right, and we ponies and Sparky will always be here for you.” Izzy said.
“Hoof to heart.” The Mane 6 said.
“They’re right.” Spike said. “As the leader of the dragons, I will be here for you as well.”

Just then, Allura and Twitch arrive in the Isle of Scaly. “Ugh, what is taking so long? First, we can’t find the Nova Charm and now we’re stuck here in this weird island. I think this place is where the dragons live. Come on Twitch, we have to find the Nova Charm, or else we’re stuck in Equestria and here forever.” The evil snow leopard said while the bunny squeaked at her.
The Mane 6 and the dragons heard a purring noise. “Did you hear that?” Sunny said.
“It’s Allura. What do we do?” Misty asked.
“We can’t leave the dragons behind. We want them to meet her.” Hitch said.
“You heard Hitch. Dragons, come with me. We’re going to meet this Allura.” Spike said.
“Um, your Spikeness? Who’s Allura?” Blaize asked.
“I don’t know.” Spike said.
“She’s an evil snow leopard that has a little bunny sidekick named Twitch.” Zipp said.
“She’s the one that hypnotized all the Auroricorns in Starlight Ridge.” Hitch said.
“You dragons better be careful with Allura.” Misty said. “She’s very powerful.”
“Watch out dragons!” Izzy, Sunny, and Pipp said at the same time.
“We will.” Spike said.
