// Story: Diamond's Pokémon Adventure

After arriving in Cerulean City, Diamond Tiara and Babs Seed went to the Pokémon Center to heal their Pokémon. Soon, their Pokémon healed, and are given Pokémon food they recently bought.
"So, what's your strategy?" Babs asked.
"Strategy?" Diamond wondered.
"To battle the Cerulean City Gym leader. From what I heard, Misty is very good with water Pokémon."
"Good point. I watched videos of Misty and her sisters performance with their Pokémon. They sure know their stuff."
"Thank you." Said a female voice.
The girls saw a young lady with wavy brown hair and wearing a teal shortie wet suit and aqua shoes.
"I think I heard of you." Diamond said. "You must be Daisy. The oldest of Misty's sisters."
"That's me." Daisy replied. She then looked at the Pokémon eating. "Pretty nice Pokémon you girls have."
"Thank you. Pikachu, Pidgey, Bulbasaur, Geodude, and Eevee are mine. Spearow and Charmander belong to Babs here."
Babs waved to Daisy. The water maiden made a suggestion. "How about gathering your Pokémon and come with me. I'd like to see them in action."
After recalling their Pokémon, Diamond and Babs followed Daisy as they walk around Cerulean City.
"I see that your Eevee likes riding on your backpack." Daisy said.
"He sure does." Diamond replied. "Eevee doesn't like being inside a Poké Ball."
"I guess not."
Soon, they come to what looks like an aquarium.
"Is this where we going?" Babs asked.
"It sure is." Daisy replied. "Come on in."
As everyone entered, Babs, Diamond, and Eevee were surprised with the place. Diving boards above a big pool. This pool is no doubt used for shows. Daisy soon called for somebody. "I brought some possible challengers!"
From behind a curtain steps a girl with short red hair and wearing a teal wetsuit with dark blue stripes.
"That full length wetsuit this gal is wearing looks awesome." Babs complimented.
"Thank you." The girl replied. "I have friends who often say that I look good in a wetsuit."
Diamond looked at the girl and realized who she is. "Wow! You must be Misty, this city's Gym Leader."
"That's correct." Misty replied. "It's nice you appreciate my skills, Diamond Tiara."
This got Diamond shocked. "You know me?"
"I sure did. I heard that you came to Kanto to get away from your mother's influence. From what I've heard, you're doing good as a Pokémon trainer."
"Thank you. Since I'm here, I'm ready to battle you for a badge."
Going into a small box, Misty pulls out what looks like a small water drop, and shows it to Diamond. "This Cascade Badge is for you. If you defeat me in battle, of course."
One of Misty's other sisters, Lily steps in. "I'll get this challenger a wetsuit to wear. This way, her overalls don't get soaked."
Diamond realizes that it's a good idea. "Okay, friend. Suit me up."
Soon, wearing a navy blue full wetsuit, Diamond Tiara is set to battle Misty with Daisy as the referee. In the stands, Babs Seed and Eevee watch with interest.
"We'll have a two on two Pokémon battle, Diamond." Misty announced. "Daisy, my eldest sister, will be the referee."
"Okay, Misty." Diamond replied as she gets out a Poké Ball. "I'll start with Bulbasaur."
"And, I'll begin with Psyduck!"
Out pops Bulbasaur and a yellow goofy looking duck. Babs Seed pulls out Diamond's Pokédex to catalog this water type.
Psyduck, the Duck Pokémon. The Pokédex said. This Pokémon constantly suffers from headaches. This triggers it's psychic power."
Diamond looks at this Pokémon and figures out something. "Your Psyduck is said to be really slow. This is an easy win."
"Don't bet on it." Misty replied. "Psyduck, use Confusion."
Psyduck's eyes glowed and surrounded Bulbasaur with a glowing aura. Suddenly, Bulbasaur was lifted off the ground. Then, slammed to the ground. This left Diamond speechless.
"Over the years, Psyduck and I started to understand each other." Misty informed. "Okay, Psyduck. Water Gun!"
Psyduck blew out a stream of water to strike Bulbasaur. Diamond reacted quickly. "Use Vine Whip to jump!"
Bulbasaur extended it's Vine to jump over Psyduck's water gun. Diamond soon made her next move. "Bulbasaur, use Leech Seed."
Bulbasaur fired a seed at Psyduck. Vines wrapped it's body and drained some energy. Misty got nervous. "Uh oh!"
"Okay, Bulbasaur." Diamond called out. "Use Vine Whip!'
The vines from Bulbasaur's bulb struck Psyduck hard. Soon, the Duck Pokémon fainted.
"Psyduck is unable to battle." Daisy announced. "Bulbasaur wins!"
"Psyduck, return." Misty said as she recalls her Pokémon. 
Babs and Eevee cheered for their comrade. Misty's other sisters watch with interest.
"That Bulbasaur is a great Pokémon, Diamond." Misty said proudly. "You truly understand Pokémon."
"Thank you, Misty." Diamond replied.
"But, can you handle my second Pokémon? Go, Starmie!"
Out pops what looks like a starfish with ten appendages and a red crystal in the center. Babs Seed used Diamond's Pokédex to study this Pokémon.
 Starmie, the Mysterious Pokémon. Said the Pokédex. The red crystal in the center is said to send signals to who knows where.
"Ready, Bulbasaur?" Diamond asked.
Bulbasaur is set until Misty makes a move. "Starmie, use Scald!"
Starmie fires a stream of water to hit Bulbasaur. But, the Seed Pokémon was suddenly burned.
"What happened to Bulbasaur?" Diamond asked with worry. 
"Scald hits an opponent with very hot water." Misty explained. "And, it does cause burn effects. Right now, it's time to wrap this up. Starmie, use Psywave!"
Starmie fired a rainbow beam from its crystal to hit Bulbasaur. Because of the burn effect of Scald, Bulbasaur soon fainted.
"Bulbasaur is unable to battle." Daisy announced. "Starmie wins."
"Bulbasaur, return." Diamond said as she recalled her Pokémon. "Nice try. Just get some rest." She then made her next decision. "You're up, Pikachu!"
Pikachu pops out and is ready. Misty decides to strike first. "Let's turn up the heat, Starmie. Use Scald!"
Starmie fired a blast of hot water. Diamond quickly reacted. "Dodge it! Then, use Thunder Wave!"
After avoiding that water attack, Pikachu sent a wave of electricity to Starmie. Diamond saw that Starmie is paralyzed and exhausted from battling Bulbasaur.
"Let's wrap it up, Pikachu." Diamond called out. "Use Thundershock!"
Pikachu sent out a blast of electricity to strike at Starmie. The water Pokémon fell to the ground. When it's crystal flashed, that means it's defeated.
"Starmie is unable to battle." Daisy announced. "Pikachu wins. The winner of this gym battle is Diamond Tiara from Canterlot!"
"We did it!" Diamond cheered. "Good work, Pikachu!"
Misty recalled Starmie as she sees Pikachu jump into Diamond's arms. The sight of a trainer's interaction with a Pokémon is always a pleasant sight.
"I have to admit, Diamond." Misty praised. "You're a great trainer. My good friend, Ash Ketchum, would be proud of you." She then takes out her badge. "This Cascade Badge is clearly yours."
After Pikachu jumped down, Diamond accepts the Cascade Badge. She then makes her way to where Babs and Eevee were sitting, and got out her badge case. Diamond placed her newest badge inside it. "That's badge number two."
Misty then gave her some good news. "You can also keep that wetsuit. We wanted to get rid of some of them to make room."
This made Diamond smile. Just as Diamond and company we're ready to leave the gym, Holly Prema barged in. She looked at Diamond with angry bloodshot eyes.
"How dare you associate with low class punks!" Holly yelled as she takes out a Poké Ball. "Your mother does not approve! Come out, Croakung. And, use Mud Shot!"
A vicious looking Croagunk, first seen in the Sinnoh Region, fired a blob of mud at Diamond. She got hit hard as the mud splotched on her body. Diamond still had her wetsuit on, planning to change clothes when she and Babs returned to the Pokémon Center. After recalling Croagunk, Holly left the gym. This left everyone shocked.
"Are you okay, Diamond?" Babs asked with concern.
"I will be after a nice shower." Diamond replied. Her Eevee looked at her with sadness in its eyes. "Yuk! Talk about mud slinging."
