// 6. Maidens in Mt. Moon 
// Story: Diamond's Pokémon Adventure

At a Pokémon Center near Mt. Moon, Diamond Tiara and Babs Seed spend time together. After hanging up her smartphone, Babs gave Diamond some news.
"I spoke to my aunt and uncle." Babs said. "They think joining you on your journey is a great idea."
"That's good." Diamond replied. "Being on a journey on my own can be lonely. Even with my Pokémon with me."
"I get it. You miss being around other people. Like your partner in crime, as it were."
"Silver Spoon? Yeah, I guess you're right. I'm starting to miss my best friend."
Nurse Joy returns with the girls' Pokémon. After Eevee rested on Diamond's lap, the two girls study the map of Kanto while Babs checks her phone while it's plugged in.
"According to this map app I downloaded," Babs informed, "Mt. Moon will lead to a place called Cerulean City. That city has a Pokémon Gym."
This made Diamond very happy. "Do you have information on this gym?"
Babs Seed looked up info about the gym. "This Gym is run by Misty. She specializes in water types. I guess they don't call her the Tomboyish Mermaid for nothing."
"Grass and Electric moves are powerful against water types." Diamond said as she straps on her backpack and grabs her duffle bag. "Let's go, Babs!"
The two girls leave the Pokémon Center and headed to Mt. Moon. Inside, the girls look around and is amazed.
"This is one huge cavern." Diamond said.
"Yeah. Quite a place to explore." Babs replied. 
Soon, they saw a pink Pokémon hopping happily. It has pointed ears and a curled up tail. Diamond pulled out her Pokédex.
Clefairy, the Fairy Pokémon. The Pokédex said.  It's rumored that this Pokémon arrived from outer space.
"Wouldn't that be something?" Babs said. 
"It does sound logical." Diamond replied.
Suddenly, they see two people standing menacingly. One was a woman with long red hair. The other was a man with short blue hair. Both wear white outfits with a big red 'R' on it. They also have black gloves and boots.
"What do you two brats want?" The woman asked.
"We are heading for Cerulean City." Diamond answered.
"Just stay out of our way." The young man said. "We're looking for fossils. Come on, Meowth."
Responding, a cat like creature followed the strange couple. Diamond soon studies this cat.
Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokémon. said the Pokédex. Very mischievous, this Pokémon likes to scare other Pokémon by scattering coins around.
Babs Seed realized something. "We better be careful, Diamond. I think those guys are Team Rocket."
"Team Rocket?" Diamond gasped. "Isn't that a criminal organization that likes to steal Pokémon for their own dark purposes?"
"That's them. We better not let them steal our Pokémon."
As the two friends explore the cavern, they see something Diamond saw already. 
"It's a Geodude." Babs indicated.
Getting out a Poké Ball, Diamond took careful aim. "I can use a rock type. She then, throws the Poké Ball. "GO!"
The Ball connects to Geodude and absorbs it. After a few shakes, the Poké Ball clicked. 
"No way!" Babs gasped. "You caught that Geodude."
Babs picked it up proudly. "Now, I have five Pokémon."
Eevee bounced happily. Just then, they confronted a Team Rocket goon, who called forth a small purple mouse. The Pokédex comes alive. Rattata, the Mouse Pokémon. This critter sneaks around looking for food. Many other Rattata may follow.
Diamond sends Eevee to battle.
"Rattata," The Team Rocket Goon ordered, "use Tackle!"
Rattata tackled Eevee. But, Diamond reacted. "Eevee, use Double Kick!"
Giving two strong kicks, Eevee quickly defeated Rattata. The thug recalled Rattata and ran off.
"Wow!" Diamond gasped. "I guess there's a lot of those foot soldiers in this cave."
"Yeah." Babs agreed. "Let's keep moving."
As they continue their travels in the cavern, they need a female grunt. And, she unleashed a dark lavender bat. Diamond learns of this Pokémon.
Zubat, the Bat Pokémon. The Pokédex informed. Even though it has no eyes, it uses ultra sonic waves from it's mouth as radar.
"Let me handle this." Babs offered as she calls on her Pokémon. "Come out, Charmander."
Babs Seed's Charmander pops out, ready for action.
"Too easy." The female grunt mocked. "Zubat, Bite!"
Zubat charged in ready to bite. But, Babs was ready. "Charmander, use Smokescreen!"
Charmander blew smoke on Zubat. This left the bat confused.
"Okay, Charmander." Babs said. "Scratch!"
The lizard Pokémon gave a quick derp scratch to Zubat. The female grunt recalled Zubat and ran away. After recalling Charmander, Babs and Diamond went on their way with Eevee behind them. From behind a rock pillar, Holly Prema watched in secret. And, was not pleased.
The two girls soon met a nerdy looking guy. He presented them two special rocks.
"These are fossils of prehistoric Pokémon." The man said. "The Helix Fossil represents Omanyte, and the Dome Fossil represents Kabuto. I'll give you girls one of them."
After thinking about it for a moment, Diamond made a decision. "I choose the Helix Fossil."
"Excellent." He gave the girls the Helix Fossil and put the other fossil away. "Pleasure doing business with you."
As the man leaves, the girls prepare to leave until a brutal female voice stops them. "Hold it right there! Hand over that fossil!"
They were confronted by the two mean people they met earlier.
"It's you again!" Diamond said angrily. "Who are you two?"
"Glad you asked." The red haired woman replied. "To protect the world from devastation!"
Her male partner followed her lead. "To unite all people's within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jessie!"
"And James!"
"Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now. Or, prepare to fight!"
Their Meowth jumped in to finish this motto. "Meowth! That's right."
"My friend here told me about Team Rocket." Diamond Tiara said. "You guys use Pokémon for vicious crimes."
"We do what we can to steal many powerful Pokémon." Jessie replied.
"Including your Eevee over there." Meowth added. "I think this ain't no normal Pokémon."
Eevee ran behind Diamond. This got the young maiden angry. "Nobody touches my little friend."
"That's what you think, kid." James said as he takes out his Poké Ball. "Go, Koffing!"
Out pops a purple ball with a skull and crossbones design. Diamond learns of this Pokémon.
Koffing, the Poison Gas Pokémon. Said the Pokédex.  If the gases get unstable, Koffing can explode.
"Here's my little friend." Jessie said. "Go, Ekans."
A purple snake pops out. The Pokédex gives Diamond some information. Ekans, the Snake Pokémon. This Pokémon's long body can wrap around it's prey.
The girls decide to fight back. Diamond calls for Geodude and Babs calls out Spearow.
"Too easy." James scoffed. "Koffing, Poison Gas!"
Koffing sprayed a vicious cloud. Babs reacted. "Spearow, blow that cloud away!"
Spearow flapped it's wings fast, blowing the Poison Gas away. Diamond made her move. "Geodude, use Tackle on Koffing!"
Geodude rushed in, and tackled Koffing. Babs followed. "Spearow, use Peck on Ekans!"
Spearow started to peck Ekans hard. Seeing their Pokémon being beaten, Jessie and James recalled them, and retreated .
"Let's get out of here, fellas." Jessie said. "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
Diamond, Babs, and Eevee watch the bad guys leave. This is a great relief to them. Later, they finally left Mt. Moon and went on Route 4. Soon, they see their next stop.
"There it is." Diamond said happily. "Cerulean City."
"Oh yeah." Babs said. "Now you can find the gym, and battle for your next badge."
"You bet I will. Come on, Eevee."
Eevee happily followed Diamond and Babs Seed into Cerulean City. Meanwhile, Holly Prema exited Mt. Moon, hoping to follow Diamond again. She then flashes back to what happened months ago.


 Flashback 

Holly wore a short sleeve teal nightgown. She was sitting on the floor with her hands tied behind her back, her ankles tied together, and her mouth wrapped tight by a white cloth. A shadow loomed over her as a British male voice spoke angrily to her. "Diamond Tiara must not stray from her mother's wishes. That young girl must be as snobbish as Spoiled Rich. MAKE SURE SHE KNOWS HER PLACE!!!"


End of Flashback 

"You will learn your lesson, Diamond Tiara ." Holly said to herself . "Harshly!"
