Cherry & Rose had reached San Pontonio, they entered the pokemon center, healed their pokemon and got a room.
“There’s a contest in 2 days.” said Rose.
“Do you want me to join you?” asked Cherry.
“You don’t have to.” said Rose.
“I ... .uh ready enjoyed doing the contests.” blushed Cherry.
“No need to be embarrassed.” said Rose.
They went to the clothing store, Cherry found a green dress with a pink flower pattern on it & green heels. Rose found an orange dress with a flame pattern on it & orange heels. They bought their new dresses and as they walked back to the pokemon center they saw three individuals wearing black clothing in an alley.
The individuals were a blue haired woman, a silver haired man, a purple haired woman & there was a Purrloin on the shoulders of the blue haired woman.
"I wonder what they're up to?" wondered Cherry.
"Probably nothing." said Rose.
After putting their dresses in their room, they entered the San Pontonio Gym. There was a Woman standing at the end of the Gym Field. The woman had tan skin, blonde hair, green eyes, she was wearing a yellow cowboy hat, a green jacket, white shirt, blue pants & brown boots.
“My name’s Applejack, welcome to my Gym.” said Applejack.
“I’m Cherry Blossom from Canterlot.” said Cherry.
“How many gym Badges do you have?” Applejack asked.
“1.” answered Cherry.
Applejack walked to a table with 10 pokeballs on it. She picked up 3 pokeballs. “I’ll use these ones.” said Applejack.
A younger woman that was related to Applejack walked to the side of the gym field.
“I’m Applejack’s sister, Applebloom and I’ll be the ref. This gym battle between San Pontonio Gym Leader Applejack & Challenger Cherry of Canterlot will be a 3 v 3 with only the challenger allowed to make substitutions.” said Applebloom.
“My first pokemon is Geodude.” said Applejack, bringing out a Geodude.
“Mine is Ivysaur.” said Cherry.
“Begin!” said Applebloom.
“Rollout.” said Applejack.
“Catch it with your vines.” said Cherry.
Ivysaur caught Geodude. “Fire Punch!” said Applejack.
Geodude’s fist got covered in fire. “Giga Drain.” said Cherry.
Ivysaur has hit with the Fire Punch and then green energy hit Geodude & its heath was absorbed by Ivysaur.
“Vine whip.” said Cherry.
“Block it with a Fire Punch.” said Applejack.
Ivysaur hit Geodude before it could get a fire punch off. Geodude was rolled backwards, revealing it had fainted.
“Geodude is unable to battle.” said Applebloom.
“Sandile!” said Applejack.
“Can you still battle Ivysaur?” asked Cherry.
“Ivy.” said Ivysaur, nodding her head.
“Giga Drain.” said Cherry.
“Dodge it.” said Applejack.
Sandile jumped out of the way of the Giga Drain. “Fire Fang.” said Applejack.
“Look out.” said Cherry.
Ivysaur tried to run but was caught by Sandile and her leg was bitten by the Fire Fang.
“Crunch.” said Applejack.
Sandile’s teeth glowed purple & bit Ivysaur with the Crunch. “Ivy!” groaned Ivysaur.
“Giga Drain.” said Cherry.
“Quick another Fire Fang.” said Applejack.
Sandile hit another Fire Fang, knocking out Ivysaur.
“Pikachu.” said Cherry.
“Rock Slide.” said Applejack.
“Use Surf!” said Pikachu.
“What!” said Applejack.
The Surf engulfed the falling Rocks of the Rock Slide and Sandile was hit by both the Surf & the rocks, when the water disappeared a fainted Sandile was revealed.
“Sandile is unable to battle.” said Applebloom.
“My final pokemon is Trapinch!” said Applejack, bringing a shiny Trapinch.
“Pikachu quick attack.” said Cherry.
“Earthquake!” said Applejack.
Pikachu ran towards, Trapinch’s feet glowed and she stomped on the ground making it shake and Pikachu was launched towards the wall
“Crunch!” said Applejack.
Trapinch launched herself and bit Pikachu in the head.
Pikachu was dazed. “Bug Bite!” said Applejack.
Trapinch’s mouth glowed green and bit Pikachu with the Bug Bite, knocking out Pikachu.
“Pikachu is unable to battle.” said Applebloom.
“Cyndaquil!” said Cherry.
“Rock Slide.” said Applejack.
“Dodge!” said Cherry.
Cyndaquil quickly dodged the falling rocks.
“Earthquake.” said Applejack.
“Jump!” said Cherry.
Cyndaquil jumped in the air to avoid the Earthquake. “Now Flamethrower!” said Cherry.
Cyndaquil hit Trapinch with a Flamethrower, but as soon as he landed. “Crunch.” said Applejack.
Trapinch quickly hit Cyndaquil with a Crunch, then throwing Cyndaquil with her mouth. “Are you okay?” asked Cherry.
“Cynda.” groaned Cyndaquil standing up.
“Flamethrower!” said Cherry.
Fire engulfed Cyndaquil and then a red light appeared, then flames dispersed revealing Cyndaquil had evolved into Quilava, his two flames got bigger and he shot a flamethrower at Trapinch.
“Use Rock Slide to Block it.” said Applejack.
The fall rocks missed the Flamethrower and Trapinch was hit by it.
“Trapinch!” groaned Trapinch as she struggled to stand.
Quilava panted as he walked in front of Cherry, the two pokemon stared at each other before Trapinch passed out.
“Trapinch is unable to battle, that means the victor is Cherry Blossom of Canterlot.” said Applebloom.
“Yes!” said Cherry.
“Qui.” smiled Quilava.
“Way to go!” said Rose.
Applejack returned Trapinch to her pokeball and walked to Cherry. “Congrats, here’s your crater badge.” smiled Applejack.(The crater badge is in the shape of an orange crater.)
“Thank you.” said Cherry.
“Next is our contest.” said Rose.
In the Pokemon Center the mysterious blue haired woman, purple haired woman & silver haired guy.
“Report!” said a woman on their phone.
“We’ve arrived in San Pontonio.” said the blue haired woman.
“Good, there’s one of those contests happening. Perfect time to steal a lot of Pokemon.” said the woman.
“Yes boss.” said the silver haired man, before hanging up.
“One of us should enter the contest, so they can be back there with those trainers. Allowing the other two to steal the pokemon.” said the purple haired woman.
“Syrena.” said the silver haired man.
“What! What about you, Onyx or you Hazel?” said Syrena.
“I’m not playing dress-up.” said Onyx.
“Neither am I.” said Hazel.
“Fine, I’ll do it.” said Syrena.
The next day Cherry & Rose headed to Route 3, where they were approached by two bug catchers. Cherry used Nidoran & Rose used Charmander, after the battle both Nidoran & Charmander glowed white and evolved into Nidorina & Charmeleon.
They entered Mt. Comet, where they found multiple people wearing black clothing with yellow "N's" on them.
“Who are you?” asked Cherry.
“Team Nexus.” said a female Nexus member.
“After we beat you, give us your pokemon!” said a male Nexus member.
The female Nexus member brought out a Grimer & and male member brought out a Ekans. Cherry brought out Hoothoot & Rose brought out Poliwag.
“Look, that's shiny.” said the male Nexus member.
"More valuable." said the female grunt.
"Hoothoot, psychic." said Cherry.
"Poliwag, water pulse." said Rose.
Hoothoot one shot the Grimer and then she & Poliwag defeated the Ekans. Hoothoot then glowed and evolved into Noctowl.
"Yes!" said Cherry.
Cherry & Rose went through more of Mt. Comet, they battled more Team Nexus grunts, Rose's Mankey evolved into Primeape. They found a room on the Mountain where there were evolution stones.
"So this is what they were after." said Rose.
"Yes and they'll be Team Nexus’s." said a purple haired woman.
"Another easy battle." said Cherry.
"Just because you two defeated the useless grunts, doesn't mean you can defeat me, Pearl." said Pearl.
Cherry brought out Ivysaur and Rose Chameleon. Pearl brought out a Muk(Poison/Dark form) & a Banette.
"Dark Pulse & Shadow Ball!" said Pearl.
"Energy Ball." said Cherry.
"Flamethrower." said Rose.
The Energy & Shadow balls collided and the Dark Pulse and Flamethrower collided, making two explosions.
"Flash Canon!!!" said Applejack from Behind.
A white beam was fired and hit Banette, Cherry & Rose turned around to see an Aggron standing next to Applejack.
"Not fair!!!!" complained Pearl.
"Earthquake!" said Applejack.
Aggron stomped on the ground and the Earthquake hit the Muk.
"Ah!!!!!" screamed Pearl.
Pearl Brought out an Arbok. "Poison Fang the Charmeleon, Dark Pulse the Ivysaur and Shadow Ball the Aggron." he commanded his team.
Arbok slithered to Charmeleon. "Now Flamethrower!" said Rose.
Charmeleon blasted Arbok with Flamethrower, Banette launched a Shadow Ball at Aggron, but Aggron shot another Flash Canon which burst threw the Shadow Ball and hit Banette. Ivysaur dodged the Dark Pulse from Muk and hit Muk with a Giga Drain. Banette was knocked out by the Flash Canon.
"No!!" yelled Pearl.
Cherry recalled Ivysaur and brought out Nidorina.
"Dig." said Cherry.
Nidorina dug underground. "Iron Head!" said Applejack.
Aggron charged Muk and hit it with Iron Head, knocking it backwards. Then Nidorina jumped out of the ground and hit Muk with the dig, knocking it out.
"Flamethrower!" said Rose.
Chameleon hit Arbok with another Flamethrower, knocking it out.
"AHHHHHHH!!!!!" screamed Pearl and she then ran out of Mt. Comet.
"Great job, you two." said Applejack.
"Thanks." said Cherry.
Cherry & Rose each picked up a Moon Stone, Fire Stone, Leaf Stone, Thunder Stone, Water Stone & Ice Stone.
"You can evolve Nidorina & Pikachu if you want." said Rose.
Cherry brought out Pikachu and she held the Moon & Thunder Stones. "These two Stones can evolve you two, do you want to evolve now?" asked Cherry.
"Nida.", "Pika." said Nidorina & Pikachu, shaking their heads.
"Alright, we'll wait until a later day." said Cherry.
The three made their way back to San Pontonio, and they healed their Pokemon.
Cherry called up her dad. "Hey, Dad." she said.
"Cherry dear, how's the journey?" asked Cherry’s dad.
"Good this is my friend Rose." said Cherry, turning the phone to show Rose.
"Hi, Mr. Blossom." said Rose.
"Nice to meet you dear, you can call me Duke by the way. Hopefully you're keeping my little Cherry out of trouble." said Duke.
"I'll try." said Rose.
"Dad, we just stopped these weirdos known as Team Nexus from doing whatever in Mt. Comet." said Cherry.
"Team Nexus! Those people are dangerous Cherry. You two should stay away from them." said Duke.
"We kicked their butts." said Cherry.
"Sounds like you battle inexperienced members. Their leader is probably very dangerous." said Duke.
"We understand Mr. Blossom and we'll try to stay away." said Rose..
"Thank you Rose." said Duke.
"Goodbye Dad." said Cherry.
"I Love you." said Duke.
"I love you too." said Cherry, before hanging up.
"Awwww." smiled Rose.
"Shut it." said Cherry.
Later that day walking into the game corner in Totrotto City was Duke. He wore a black jacket, white shirt, white blank pants & red shoes.
He walked up to a picture of a Liepard, he lifted up her hand revealing the Team Nexus "N" on the top left on his jacket.
The secret passage opened, he took off her jacket revealing a Nexus “N” on his shirt & so the grunts would see his admin status clothing.
He walked into an office, there was a woman wearing a black blazer, blue blouse, black pants & shoes. She had blue skin, yellow eyes and had black hair that had a purple streak and was alone drinking wine.
“Hello Raven .” said Duke.
"Duke, it's been along time." said Raven ..
"I know, it's your fault." said Duke.
"Still holding on to that." said Raven .
"You chose Cobalt over myself & our daughter. I also never agreed with any of your plans." said Duke.
"It's been 15 years & we only had a one night stand." said Raven .
The door opened and a white haired man with purple skin, cobalt blue eyes and wearing a white suit entered the room. "What are you doing back?" asked Cobalt.
"Duke was telling me how our daughter is doing." answered Raven .
"Well your daughter was one of the trainers who stopped Pearl at Mt. Comet." said Cobalt.
"I see." said Raven .
"Please Raven , don't hurt her. She's your daughter, Scarlet's sister." said Duke.
"Sit." said Raven .
Duke sat in the chair in front of Raven's desk.
"Anything else?" asked Duke.
"To pay for Cherry’s interference, I want you to take a team to diglett's cave, bring me fossils and steal any pokemon from trainers that get in your way." said Raven .
“And you’ll leave Cherry alone?” Duke asked.
“Yes, as long as she doesn’t interfere anymore, now go." answered Raven .
In Diglett's cave Duke had found a female scientist with fossils. Duke had a white mask that concealed the bottom part of his face only showing his eyes & hair.
"Please don't, this is my life's work." said the scientist.
Duke pushed the scientist to the ground. "Now if you don't hand them over----" Duke took a pokemon from his pocket & brought out an Electivire.
Duke snapped his fingers and Electivire wrapped a tail around the arm of the scientist. "I’ll have Electivire zap you." said Duke.
"Okay, okay!!!" said the Scientist.
The two grunts with Duke took the fossils and Electivire let the Scientist go.
"Good choice." said Duke.
The three Nexus members walked out of the cave, Duke felt nauseous after doing that.
"Great job." said the female grunt.
"Yeah that was awesome." said the male grunt.
Duke pulled out a white cased Phone. "Call Raven ." said Duke.
"Report?" asked Raven .
"I got them." answered Duke.
"Good, take them to Emerald." said Raven .
Duke dropped the fossils off at Emerald's lab on Jasper Island & went back to Raven's office underneath the game corner.
"Well?" said Raven .
"They'll take a few days to be revived." answered Duke.
"Good, now leave." said Raven .
