a few weeks later, the drivers arrive at the Circuit da Catalunya and prepare for the next race. Fluttershy had a insane qualifying lap but Ayrton Senna is right on her tail, starting from P2, Apple Lauda starts from P3, Rainbow Dash from P4, Spitfire from P5, Lando Norris from P6, Fernando Alonso from P7, Alexander Albon from P8, Logan Sargeant from P9 and Valterri Bottas from P10.
Apple Lauda has still things in his mind, he just wants Senna to have revenge for what happened in 1994. His expression on his face clearly shows that. But he still decides to race.
As the race starts, Apple Lauda and Ayrton Senna get the best start possible and Fluttershy drops back down to P3. The both Rothmans cars are pulling away into the distance. But Fluttershy doesn't let go of the two rampaging cars. Meanwhile, Ayrton Senna took the lead of the race because Apple Lauda had let him by.
"sweetie, please take your lead back" Silverstream commands.
"NO!!!! Ayrton has to win this race... he must become world champion... It's my gift towards him" Apple Lauda contradicts.
"Ayrton, please let Apple Lauda by, I can't let him degrade himself" Silverstream tells Ayrton through the radio. Ayrton slows down and lets Apple Lauda by, but Apple Lauda however wants to let Ayrton go past him.
"fucking hell" Apple Lauda mumbles to himself, still wanting that Ayrton goes by, but then, something unexpected happens. In lap 7 of 25, Apple Lauda pits for new tyres, giving Ayrton the lead back.
meanwhile, Fluttershy is closing the gap to Ayrton slowly, but Ayrton pits and Fluttershy stays out. She gets into the lead of the race.
"where is Apple Lauda?" Fluttershy asks curiously.
"Apple Lauda has pitted... I don't know what their strategy is, but it was a huge blunder." Toto says.
Fluttershy sighs. "I don't think that it was a blunder... he did that on purpose. He wanted to let Ayrton by but Ayrton refused so Apple Lauda pitted and Ayrton now has pitted as well. And now Apple Lauda is in front of Ayrton again."
A few laps later, in lap 19 of 25, Fernando Alonso makes a move on Rainbow Dash, who finds herself back in 6th place. Fernando has an amazing pace. He gets close to Spitfire but fails to overtake because Spitfire is using the same defense methods that Fernando uses.
Rainbow Dash gets some overtakes done and also she reovertakes Fernando Alonso and is now in 4th place, chasing Apple Lauda and Ayrton Senna at the moment.
Apple Lauda and Ayrton Senna are getting dangerously close to Fluttershy right now. Both Rothmans drivers are in DRS range but can't get past Fluttershy because they are too far away.
"Ultima Volta" Silverstream says.
"Está bem" Apple Lauda responds.
"certo, Ultima Volta Silverstream, Obrigada pela informação" Ayrton replies, acknowleding the call.
"Apple Lauda, you get better at speaking Portuguese" Silverstream says.
"heh, thanks..." Apple Lauda responds.
At the final corner, Apple Lauda and Ayrton Senna are about to catch Fluttershy, they get closer... and closer...
and even more closer....
the race ends after 25 laps...
Fluttershy wins the race. It was very close though, because Ayrton Senna and Apple Lauda were wheel to wheel with her. Ayrton Senna finishes P2 (+0.001) and Apple Lauda finished 3rd. (+0.002)
"HOLY SHIT!!!!" Fluttershy shouts, knowing that she might have won the race. Toto Wolff confirms this.
"AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Apple Lauda screams. He knows it might have not been enough. "At least Ayrton is in P2, unlike me. It's better this way."
"honey, please... your well being is more important..." Silverstream says in a worried tone.
"I know... but... Ayrton has a world championship to win... for 1994..." Apple Lauda says.
As the drivers parked their cars in Parc Ferme, Apple Lauda gets out of the car and puts his helmet off immediately. Fluttershy immediately sees that something is really wrong with Apple Lauda.
"I know you want Ayrton to become world champion but you don't have to degrade yourself..." Fluttershy says.
"It has to be that way..." Apple Lauda says.
"not at the cost of your mental health..." Fluttershy contradicts.
"Fluttershy is right... please, be the one agin we all know... if you don't want to do that, please do it just for me then, okay?" Ayrton says in a calming tone.
"okay" Apple Lauda responds.
