//------------------------------// // Scott's Idea // Story: Equestria Girls: It's Showtime--Imagination Movers: For Those About To Rock // by Big Imagination E //------------------------------// "Alright Movers. Who's got an idea?" Rich asked. They began thinking til Scott had something. "Hey guys. I think a have an idea." Scott said. "Well let's hear it!" Rich smiled. "Maybe the Rainbooms can't think of a theme because they don't know what they all like in common when playing music. So maybe if they can share what they all like when playing maybe that can help them decide what theme they can choose." Scott explained. "Good idea Scott!" Smitty beamed "So we need to share what likes we have to get our theme?" Rainbow asked. "Yes. And I’ll use my Scribble-Sticks.” Rich said pulling them out. "Now I want you girls to tell us what kind music you like and maybe we can find something that you all like in common." "Well I like techno music." Twilight said as Rich drew a picture of a techno music symbol. "I like heavy metal." Sunset said as he drew another symbol. "I prefer opera music." Rarity replied. "I love rap music!!" Pinkie smiled. "I go all hard rock!" Rainbow said. "I like the country music." Applejack offered. "I happen to enjoy some classical music." Fluttershy finished. Rich finished drawing the symbols and put his Scribble Sticks away. "Alright girls. Now try and think about what you all like in common with these." "And I will use my Wobble Goggles to see the likes." Scott said. So Scott slid down his Wobble-Goggles and clicked the buttons, and emitting those telltale flashing techno blue lights. He aimed them directly at the Rainbooms and the vision warped as each of the Rainbooms had different colored music notes in their heads. "Uh oh. I'm not seeing any likes right now. They just have the same music in their heads. Rainbow has red rock music notes, Applejack has orange country music notes, Rarity has indigo opera notes and the list goes on." Scott said as he clicked the buttons again, shutting down the Wobble-Goggles for another use sometime in the future. "Have you girls tried to combine the music genres? Cause maybe you can see what you like." Smitty asked. "Well no. But that's because I think we like hearing the music that each of us like. And I still think that we should play hard rock." Rainbow answered. "Are you crazy? No we are not playing that! I suggest the opera music!!" Rarity shouted. Then suddenly they all broke out into a huge arguement and the Movers were scared seeing that. Warehouse Mouse even saw that and when he saw Fluttershy all worried he had to do something. He ran out of the mouse hole and climbed onto the counter and took a deep breath and yelled. "STOP!!!!" Warehouse Mouse yelled. The Rainbooms got scared and they all went silent. They realized that they were scaring the Movers and that arguing wasn't gonna get them anywhere. "Oh. Sorry Warehouse Mouse. I guess we let our anger take over again." Rarity said. Warehouse Mouse muttered something saying that it's okay and he jumped off the counter and faced the Movers again. "Sorry guys. Sometimes when we try to think of a theme we intend to break out an argument. But we didn't mean to." Sunset replied. "It's ok. But it doesn't look like trying to combine their likes helped. They still can't decide." Rich told Scott. "Looks like we need another idea." Smitty suggested. The Movers agreed and the door opened to reveal , a middle-aged man in glasses and a fully beige business suit, and a woman who wore a bright white shirt and matching bright red pants and jacket with black pigtails and cherry red hair-ties. This was their neighbors Knit Knots and Nina. "Hey guys." Nina greeted. "Nina!" The Movers said in unison. "Movers." Knit Knots said. "What brings you two here?" Rich asked. "Well we were busy in my office doing lots of stapling, stamping, and stacking til we heard some arguing coming from here." Knit Knots answered. "Oh sorry. That's was the Rainbooms." Dave said. "Oh you mean these girls here?" Nina asked. "Yes. Nina was it?" Sunset asked and she nodded yes. "Sorry about that. But we have a problem that the Movers are trying to help us with." "They are a band and they want to perform at the music festival tomorrow night but... They can't decide on a theme right now." Scott replied. "Well this is much too exciting anyway. I'm gonna leave now. Coming Nina?" Knit Knots said. "Actually. I'm gonna see if I can help them decide what theme they want to perform at the music festival." Nina answered. "Oh alright. Have a boring day everyone." Knit Knots said as he left the warehouse. The girls were confused hearing what Knit Knots said. But Pinkie didn't like what he said. "How can he hate anything fun?! That's a real grumpy pants that should leave and never come back!!" Pinkie yelled. "Pinkie! Pinkie! Relax. It's always been like this with my uncle. He never really likes anything fun and only likes boring things." Nina replied. "Well sounds like your uncle should loosen up or he should get out! No offense." Rainbow said. "None taken. I sometimes wished he be more fun too." Nina admitted. "Um guys? We still have an Idea Emergency to solve." Dave reminded them. The Rainbooms and Nina all agreed and had to get back on track. "Ok well your first idea didn't really work. We were always attached to the music we listen to separately and can't think of anything else." Twilight said. "Coming up with different themes is hard. But you know girls that different music genres can blend well together. Doing that can show you that there isn't just one kind of music but others making the sound better." Nina offers. "Yeah. Blending music genres can really make a tune sound better. Especially when you play in a band." Smitty agreed. "That does makes sense. I guess we could." Rarity thought. Then in the white backdrop that was dotted with all sizes of colorful dots we see the Rainbooms trying to think of ways to combine the music genres with the Movers but so far nothing.
