A few weeks passed and everyone was in a masquerade mask and outfit that they choose for tonight. We see the Rainbooms in their ball gowns and masks enjoying the party. Vinyl was wearing an outfit that represents a eagle and Octavia's was no doubt quite beautiful. She had a red rose gown, a black mask she wore as the bodice adorned with tiny crystals, creating swirling patterns, and the skirt billowed around her legs, fanning out as she spun around. The skirt itself had a spray of black beads descending from the bottom of the bodice, creating similar patterns.
"Hey Tavi! Look at this party! Isn't it amazing?" Vinyl asked.
"It certainly is amazing Vinyl. And don't be mad but I invited Nightshadow to come to the party. So I hope that Rainbow doesn't go into a full raging animal again like last time." Octavia said.
"I ain't mad. If you want your Night Ghost here they I won't mind. After all he was nice when I met him. But as for Rainbow we are keeping an eye on her to make sure that do anything stupid and might ruin the party." Vinyl replied.
"I heard that! I'm not gonna ruin it!" Rainbow said.
"Well Rainbow we are just making sure that you don't rage out. Cause I'm gonna give Nightshadow this you really need to take his advice." Sunset said.
"Sunset's right. We can't risk you losing it and attacking someone that isn't a threat." Twilight agreed.
"All right girls. It's only the dress that is making me uncomfortable." Rainbow complained.
Rainbow left to join the rest of her friends and continued to enjoy the party. Vinyl and Octavia decided to go get some drinks to energize them for when they wanna dance later. Soon after an hour it was time for a good session of dancing. Most people grabbed a partner and waltzed to the music and feeling the emotions. They were loving it that on some songs they decided to sing. And Octavia was dancing by herself. It wasn't that she didn't want to dance with someone but she was a little nervous to dance with a man. Suddenly, the singing stops as the lights dim dramatically, causing everyone to turn and stare toward the left, to the very top of the stairs. There stood a man, dressed elegantly, but everyone knew who he truly was:
Nightshadow aka The Vampire Prince and Night Ghost.
He stood on the staircase and was wearing a complete purpley-blue outfit, the collar was high, reaching his jaw. His trousers matched the coat and a velvet cape was pinned to his left shoulder, equally as elegantly embroidered, and trailing along the floor behind him. A black belt sat around his waist, and he wore black knee-high boots and black leather gloves. His black hair was slicked back as usual, and he wore a mask this time. This mask represents a god decorated in stars. Everyone was a little nervous and scared seeing him. But for the class some were nervous too but others were actually happy to see him. Especially Octavia.
With slow, steady steps he made his way downstairs and walked towards Octavia. He then took off his mask and Octavia did the same smiling.
"Nightshadow."
"Octavia."
The two looked in each other in the eyes and everyone seemed a little confused. They thought the Night Ghost was evil and yet all they see is a kind being towards one of their classmates. He then turned his attention to the rest of the class.
"Good evening Canterlot High students. I am Nightshadow. And yes they call me the Night Ghost. But rest assured I didn't come to ruin this Masquerade. No. I have received an invitation from Miss Octavia Melody to come and join you on this glorious night. Since I know that some of you are a little nervous seeing me I thought I make myself present and show you that I'm not a dangerous person." Nightshadow explained.
Then everyone started to rethink about their thoughts on Nightshadow. Then Fleur and Rara came to him in curiosity.
"Excuse us sir? Are you really the Night Ghost?" Rara asked.
"Yes. But you can believe me when I say that I mean no harm." Nightshadow assured.
"We believe you. In fact we didn't get the chance to say thank you for disposing Blueblood. He was so rude and selfish that he choose to disrespect some of us like me and Rara. So we appreciate you dealing with him and ending his life. We can also see that you were trying to protect Octavia and her friends from facing his wrath. So we want to say thank you Nightshadow." Fleur replied.
Then everyone started to process everything that she said and realized that he was the one that killed Blueblood. But most of them were actually glad that he got rid of Blueblood since they cannot stand hearing his mouth run anymore. Then Nightshadow went to Octavia and stuck his hand out.
"Miss Octavia Melody? You would care to dance?" He asked.
She giggled. "You may."
https://m.As the music began she took his hand and he wrapped his arm around her waist and began waltzing. They danced beautifully under the chandelier as Octavia begin to cry tears of joy sharing this magical moment with Nightshadow. As they were doing this all the people watched them in amazement seeing this pair waltz. Even Twilight and her friends watched and couldn't take their eyes off of it. After the dance they all posed and they cheered.
"Brava! Brava!" Fleur cheered.
"That was stupendous! Wonderful!" Rara agreed.
Even the Rainbooms clapped for them at this performance. All but Rainbow who still thought she was under a spell he placed. Then in anger she ran into the road and headed for the duo. With Nightshadow and Octavia they held hands and took a bow to everyone. But then a rainbow blur tackled him to the ground and everyone gasped. Rainbow held him down and and repeatedly punched him in the face again and again. She stopped and grabbed him by the neck collar.
"You think your real funny huh?! Trying to place another spell on Octavia with the necklace? Well your not gonna take our friend monster!" Rainbow shouted.
She kept punching him and he screamed in pain and everyone decided to help him. Even the Rainbooms noticed that and want to help too. Half of the body grabbed Rainbow while the others helped up Nightshadow. When the one half helped Nightshadow they fixed his outfit and wiped the blood off his face.
"Darling? Are you okay?" Fleur asked.
"Yes. A little bruised again but I'm fine." Nightshadow answered.
"Rainbow! What the hell is your problem?!" Rara yelled.
"I thought he placed a spell on Octavia with the necklace on her neck!!" Rainbow reasoned.
"No he didn't! He did not place me under a spell!! He simply gave me this necklace through a magic trick he performed as a gift! Why do you keep thinking that he's a bad guy when he's not?!?! He may a vampire but he's showing respect towards me and everyone else! But if you can't see that through your thick skull then your the monster!!" Octavia cried.
She ran out of the ballroom crying and everyone was in shock and also very pissed at Rainbow.
"Dude. Is it true? Are you really a vampire?" A boy named Flash asked.
"Yes. But I'm actually a Peacelighter vampire meaning I only harm bad people and Rainbow let her anger consume her and ruined this occasion. I'm so sorry." Nightshadow replied.
"Don't be. You haven't done a thing wrong. If anyone deserves to be punished it's Rainbow." Fleur said. "We know that you never ever harmed Octavia and we can tell she took a liking to you. So take Vinyl and go find her. We'll deal with Rainbow for you. And Twilight? Since you and the others were trying to help we want you to kindly leave the ballroom and head back to the room. This will not be pretty."
"Actually Fleur. If I may? I told her to not lash out at Nightshadow but she didn't listen. So don't take it out on the other Rainbooms. Let them smack some sense into Rainbow and have me and Nightshadow go find Octavia." Vinyl offered.
"Vinyl! Please don't do this!" Rainbow pleaded.
"Sorry Rainbow. But you brought this upon yourself." Vinyl said angry.
"You know what? I like the way your thinking. But now that I actually gave it some thought. Girls? Get Nightshadow and Vinyl and go find Octavia. He's the only one that can help her calm down. We'll handle Rainbow for you." A girl named Cloudchaser said.
The Rainbooms didn't know what to do in this situation. One one hand they were really mad and Rainbow for lashing out and ruining Octavia's night. But on the other hand they didn't want Rainbow getting beat up. Ultimately the looks on everyone's face beat them to it.
"Vinyl please get Nightshadow and let's go find Octavia." Twilight decided.
She nodded and went over to Nightshadow and guided him out of the ballroom and out the door. Once Nightshadow closed it all they now heard is angry roars, punching and yelling. And they also heard Rainbow screaming in pain begging for them to stop. The group cringed hearing that expect Nightshadow.
"I tried telling her that if this continued the consequences would be dire. But her anger both the better and now has to pay for the consequences." Nightshadow replied.
"Big time. Now we best find Octavia and try to fix this." Rarity suggested.
Everyone nodded in agreement and headed off to look for Octavia. He may have gained the trust of The Rainbooms and everyone else but Rainbow has a lot to learn about Nightshadow's true intentions and has to understand that he isn't an evil vampire and wants to be himself as a kind being towards all.
