Big Brother

Watching over The Moon

"Prince Artemis! Please come back!" Yelled one of the royal butlers, that were put up to the assignment of watching over their Lords little brother while he attended an important meeting with the other Equss rulers., in hopes of settling a fair peace treaty between kingdoms. And in hopes that the global lord can settle things straight.

But if only their lord has mentioned that Prince Artemis, is no different then any other child his age. Well he's actually billions years of old but Equssians round that age up to around 6.

Which didn't make any of this any better for the poor staff that was current in a high speed chase of the young Moon God. Who was faster then any of the Valkyrie and Saroniye guards, possessed unimaginable power, could blast any of them into an endless void of shadow any minute now.

Now to be fair, Lord Solaris attempted to argue that he would gladly handle his little Moon if he became to much. But his assistant Revan assisted that they would be just fine while he is away at the DragonLands attending this meeting.

Boy was Revan far away from right.

The staff had imagined that the young prince would be no problem, a quiet little angel who wouldn't even dare to cause trouble. Would most likely just be in room, as the young prince never talked to anyone other then his older brother and teacher.

Boy were they all far from right.

"Solly! Where are you?!" Artemis yelled in worry, before he could fly right through another door, a Saroniye guard managed to catch up with the young prince, wrapping an arm around his little body and pulling him close. Sir Sirate sighed in relief. He looked down at the prince who looked like he were about to cry.

"You highness, we have told you that Lord Solaris would be away for the weekend at an important meeting. He has called Starswind to come assist us on taking of you for the time being." Sir Sirate stated as he tucked his bat wings in. Revan, and one of the butlers Quial walked up to them, breathing heavily. Definitely out of breathe.

"T..Thank you Sir Sirate," Revan said in between heavy breathes, Quial fell down on the floor face front causing the other two adults to look down at him in worry. Quial didn't even make a sound.

"That's the last time ANY of us underestimate a young Hybrids speed." Quial said loud enough for them to understand them. The only think Revan and Sirate did, was nod in a strong agreement.

"I miss brother.." Artemis said, tears now running down his cheeks. The Little Moon always did admire and adore his Big Sun so dearly. The two had never been apart ever since crashing on Equss many moons ago.

All of the staff were aware of the tight bond the two held, but their lord also had a whole planet o look after. Taking care of a planet, and your little brother is a very difficult task. Lord Solaris always assured the stuff that he could handle it, which he did.

However, everyone sees those black eye bags underneath the lords eyes. Everyone knew he were tired. Which is why when he assisted on taking Artemis with him to the meeting. Revan argued that the castle staff and Starswind will do fine with taking on the challenge of babysiting a Moon God. After all, the Sun that served their galaxy deserved a slight piece of mind.

Much due to everyone's sanity.

"Wait, you left them to watch your little brother? As in The Moon God?" The Dragon Lord said with one of her thick eyebrows raised as she stared at Lord Solaris.

"Aye."

"The same little bastard who could have crashed the Moon into Equss twice when he was 2?" The fire queen Eruptia said, who got a glare from the global lord.

"Please, do not call aye young brother such names using that profanity. However, aye. In Artemis defense he were really young and didn't have quite as well control over his magic."

"He literally moved the Moon, and ended up messing with the bodies of water!" King Novo of Seaqutiria exclaimed.

"Hmm, yes I remember that very unfortunate natural disaster accident. However keep in mind that aye brother is still a very young being. He will gain more wisdom and control with his power over the times to come."

"Ok Lord hotstuff, you believe that. While the rest of us prepare the Moon to crash into this planet."

Solaris sighed, he them softly smiled to himself as an image of his little brother entered his mind. Those big turquoise eyes looking up at him with the biggest smile Solaris has ever seen from Artemis. Solaris had to mentally chuckle as he remembered the height difference between him and basically everyone. He stood at 7'4, which he made everyone look like an ant. But Artemis was the smallest of them all.

He wondered how Starswind and the staff were doing.

Not very well, they were not doing very well.

Honestly it was going well until Starswind decided it was time for Prince Artemis to go to bed, as Artemis sleeps during the day and awake during the night. It were always like that since day one of the two royal brothers being on Equss.

Revan made sure to always have Solaris put Artemis to bed around mid--day so he could be ready for his training at midnight with Solaris.

Put the Moon God to sleep, easier said then done right?

However, its way more easier to put the young Moon God to sleep on paper then in real life.

"Come on Prince Artemis! It is your bed time." Starswind complained to the young prince for the tenth time. They all were in his large night sky based room. To keep it dark they closed all the curtains, which surprise to them all made it pretty dark.

"No, Solly always puts me to bed." Artemis said for the tenth time. He had his arms crossed as he turned his body, facing away from Starswind, Revan, a maid named Nightlight, and Quial who just narrowed his eyes as he stared at the old women in annoyance.

"You know how to put gods to bed huh?" He said in a annoyed tone.

"Be quite and help me before I have Solaris fire you." Starswind replied with just as much annoyance in her voice. Quial rolled his eyes, knowing it was an empty threat.

"Yeah have fun hag, Lord Solaris values my presence."

"How does the lord get him to sleep?" Revan asked as he turned his head to face Nightlight, who just smiled.

"Let's him go to sleep on his own."

Silence

"...."

"Excuse me? Let's him go on his own?" Starswind said.

"Yes, works everytime." Nightlight said.

"That's ridiculous Nightlight, surely there has to be another way..." Quial said, suddenly they all heard light snoring. Everyone turned to see Artemis fast asleep, tucked in his dark purple sheets, hugging his plushie of the Sun with his Moon plushie just right behind him.

"Artemis will automatically fall asleep during the day, as his body is more active in the night."

"And your just telling us this why?"

"I enjoyed watching you and Starswind argue."

Revan sighed as he gestures for everyone to leave the room to let the sleeping prince rest. Once everyone was out, he looked back at the bed that held the moon prince, he looked so peaceful. Revan smiled as he closed the door as quiet as he could.

"Good day Prince Artemis..."
