//------------------------------// // My Little Fillies // Story: Born and Raised in Equestria // by ReverseBrony //------------------------------// 5:57 am The sun rose up again as usual and filled the air with light and warmth. One of the first to feel it was Johnny. Johnny awoke with a yawn and a scratch to his eye. He got off his bed and looked up to Applebloom's bed. "Sleep tight sis. I'll be back in a moment." Johnny said and tip toed out of their room. At this time Big Mac was already awake and Applejack was barely getting up. Rarely did Johnny ever wake up this early, but something inside him made him want to get up. "Well no point in slouchin around." Johnny said to himself and walked to the bathroom. He did his daily routine of bathing and such and walked out to find his brother. "Hey Johnny! What're ya doin up this early?" Big Mac asked.  "Oh uh. I don't know bro. I just came out to see if I could help. Can I?" Johnny asked eagerly.  "Alright, take these baskets of apples 'nd put em in the cart there. Ah'm makin a delivery at noon. You can come then too if ya want." Big Mac suggested. "Okay I need to..." Johnny remembered his little 'meet up' with Twist. "I need to.. meet a friend in Ponyville around that time anyway." Johnny explained and began lifting apple baskets. "How'd ya like yer party yesterday?" Big Mac asked.  "I loved it! Pinkie once again did more than her best." Johnny answered excitedly. "And ah see yer wearin that coon-skin cap of yers again." "Yep. Never takin it off." Johnny said lifting another basket.  Of all the days Johnny had worked, this by far was his busiest day. Big Mac and Johnny had finished the day's quote early and decided to kick back for a few hours.  10:30 "So Johnny, who ya meetin in town later?" Big Mac asked. Johnny became nervous, he didn't know what to say.  "Well... uh.. I'm meeting with... Spike today." Johnny answered. Which WAS truthful, he had to meet him that day anyway. "Now Johnny, remember that Applejack is the Element of Honesty. She'll know if yer lyin or not. Ya wanna tell her what ya told me?" Big Mac asked. "Ugh! Okay fine. I'm going to Sugar Cube Corners with Twist." Johnny answered.  "So? Why were ya tryin to hide that?" Big Mac wondered why Johnny was so afraid to admit what he was going to do. "Well, at first when she asked me I thought she was.... asking me on a date." Johnny explained.  "Oh Ah see. Well don't ya worry. It's like Ah told ya, 'If a girl ever asks ya on a date, no matter who, just say yes 'nd be polite. And if ya don't like it, don't go on another one.' Ya never wanna be rude to a filly Johnny." Big Mac reminded Johnny.  "Yer right. Thanks bro." Johnny said putting his cap over his eyes to block out the sun. The two continued to siesta next to the barn the next hour. ______________________________ 12:05-Ponyville Big Mac walked into Ponyville town square while Johnny was riding in the cart of apples. Big Mac stopped and turned his head to face his brother. "Alright Johnny. Go on ahead and see if ya can find yer friend." Big Mac said to his little brother.  "Thanks bro, see ya later." Johnny said while jumping out of the cart. He walked up to his brother and hugged him. Then he ran up to Sugar Cube Corners and found Twist waiting for him there.  "Hi Johnny! I see you came as you promished." Twist said bouncing up and down. Johnny watched her still feeling uneasy about the "date". "Yeah... well here I am! Um... should we.. go inside?" Johnny asked and opened the door for Twist.  "Thanks." Twist said and galloped in. Johnny followed behind her and watched Twist walk up to the pastry display.   Suddenly Pinkie Pie hopped out from behind the counter next to Twist. "HIYA TWIST!" She happily greeted then turned her head to see Johnny walk in. "Heya Johnny! What brings you two in here?"  "We're gonna eat here! Together." Twist answered while looking at Johnny with a dreamy look.  "Oooh! You mean like a date?" Pinkie asked. Johnny stopped in his tracks at hearing Pinkie's question.  "Well...uh.... I guess... yes..." Johnny answered weakly while blushing. "Aren't you two a bit young to date though?" Pinkie questioned. "Why yes, yes we are." Twist responded looking back at Pinkie.  "Well it's good to see a boy and a filly spending quality time together. What would you guys like to have?" Pinkie asked.  "What do you want Johnny?" Twist asked. The last time Johnny came to Sugar Cube Corners it was a few months ago and for a party of Pinkie's. He didn't really know what was on the menu. He looked up at said menu.  'I want to hurry this "date" up and get it over with. What'll be the fastest to eat or drink?' Johnny thought while skimming over the menu. "Oh um.. how bout a milkshake?" Johnny decided and asked Twist. "Okay! A cheocolate milksheake please." Twist requested.  "Okie dokie lokie. Your order will be out in a minute." Pinkie confirmed and led the two to an outside table. There were two chairs already there and one of them was made specifically for Johnny. Almost all businesses in Ponyville were required to have them now. The two sat down and waited about 20 seconds when Pinkie showed up out of nowhere again. "Here ya go. One super delicious chocolatey milkshake and on the house." "Really?" Johnny asked in a surprised tone. "Why? I have enough bits to pay for it." "Nope. It's okay. Just for you two lovebirds." Pinkie Pie said. Johnny blushed at hearing this. Pinkie left the shake on the table, put two straws in it and bounced away leaving Johnny and Twist to their dessert.  "Sho? Ya wanna have the first drink?" She asked.  "Nah. Um, ladies first." Johnny said motioning to her to drink some of the shake. She did so and continued looking at him. Johnny tried to think of some thing to start a conversation. "Uh..um..so how'd ya like that lesson about the different species of animals in Equestria that Ms. Cheerliee gave yesterday?" Johnny asked.  "I learned a lot! But I think you didn't, were you crying yeshterday?" She asked. "NO!" Johnny yelled out. Twist shrank back. "S-sorry, I just don't like thinking about that." Johnny apologized.  "Oh. Okay I'm shorry, but you wanna take a drink now?" Twist asked forgetting the previous subject.  "Yeah..sure." Johnny said and leaned forward to put the straw in his mouth. After he began sipping the drink, Twist joined back in the drinking. Their eyes were now aligned with one another. Johnny stopped drinking and flinched back. "Whoa Twist what do ya think yer doin?" Johnny asked in a scared tone.  "Shorry. I just love the way your eyesh look." Twist admitted with a dreamy look on her face.  Johnny blushed again. 'UGH! I gotta hurry this up!' Johnny thought to himself and went back to drinking.  (One milkshake later)  "Oh Johnny, thish wash sho musch fun!" Twist said excitedly.  "I-I-I'm glad ya liked it... uh.. well I have to go and find my sister... now. So.. bye." Johnny tried to excuse himself and turned around to walk away. "Wait!" Twist called. Johnny stopped and looked back at Twist. "I made thish for you." She said handing him a large candy cane. It was about a foot long and a half an inch thick. "Wow! This looks really good! Thanks Twist, I'll eat some of it later." Johnny said to her.  "You're welcome! I hope we can do thish again." Twist said battering her eyes lids. Johnny gulped and gave an awkward smile. "Bye!" She said to him before galloping away.  Johnny shook his head and watched her. He then looked down at the candy cane. "Wow... she made this really well. That is her talent after all." Johnny said to himself. "Now that I think about it I wonder what MY talent is." Johnny began heading toward the orchard.  ________________________ "What about... cider chuggin?" Applebloom suggested. The CMCs were doing what they always did. Discussing what they're special talent could be. "We're too young for that. How bout cow-tipping?" Scootaloo asked.  "Nah. Big Macintosh said we weren't allowed to do that." Applebloom sai "Geez... we've doing this for so long we're actually running out of ideas." Sweetie Belle spoke up.  "Oh she's right! Seriously, cow-tipping? What kind of talent is that?" Scootaloo retorted.  "Ah think we should just give up. We're never gonna get our cutie marks. We've done everythin possible and nothins happened." Applebloom admitted. Suddenly the sound of foot steps approached. "That sounds like Johnny." "What? How can you tell?" Sweetie Belle asked.  "Do ordinary hooves sound like that? That's the sound of feet." Applebloom explained.  And like Applebloom predicted, Johnny came running up the steps into the tree house.  "Hi guys!" Johnny said. "Hi Johnny." The CMCs said in unison.  "You all doin the usual stuff?" Johnny asked about their discussions.  "Not anymore. We give up." Sweetie Belle said sadly.  "We're gonna be blank flanks fer the rest of our lives!" Applebloom cried out.  "What? Oh c'mon guys! Don't be like that. I bet there's a bunch of stuff y'all haven't tried yet." Johnny tried to motivate the three fillies. The three continued to stare at the table with sad expressions. Johnny tried to think of something. "Oh! I was just gonna go ta Twilight's to find Spike. I wanted to play that new game I made with him." Johnny spoke. "Wanna come?" "What game was that again?" Applebloom asked.  "Baseball." Johnny reminded.  "Hey yeah! We haven't tried that yet!" Scootaloo exclaimed.  "Yeah let's do it!" Sweetie Belle agreed.  "Cutie Mark Crusader BASEBALL PLAYERS!" The three cheered in unison. "Let's go!" (one walk to the library later) "Oh hey guys! Sup Johnny? Ready to go?" Spike asked.  "Yep, and the girls are gonna play too." Johnny explained. "Let me guess, Cutie marks?" Spike asked. "Cutie marks." Johnny replied. "That's cool, let's go. Twilight! I'm goin to the park with Johnny! See you later." Spike said and closed the door behind him.  The four walked to the large park of Ponyville. There the wide open and green fields were all they need to play the game of baseball. Rarely would it be played though. Johnny hadn't really convinced anypony to take part in it but he did usually manage to catch their interest. And to further matters only beings with thumbs or magic could play. Running with three legs and focusing on catching a ball, or hitting said ball would be rather difficult (not to mention painful) if you used your mouth or hooves.  The game started and Spike was first to bat. The CMCs decided to be outfield catchers to test their abilities in catching. Several ponies gathered to watch as the game "kicked off". (get it? See.. I made a sports pun..baseball and football...8D).  "Here's the heater Spike!" Johnny warned as he threw the ball. Spike readied the bat and swung it. +BANG+ The ball flew off into the sky. It was close to hitting Rainbow Dash.  "HEY! WATCH IT! I'm flying here!" She said as the ball zipped passed her.  The ball began to fldall and it was right in range of the CMCs. The crowd stared as it flew up and as it fell back. The CMCs were getting into position to catch the ball.  "I got it!" They all said. The ran to the same point to catch the ball but unfortunately +SLAM+ they ran into each other. The ball fell on to the patch of grass next to them. The crowd gasped as the saw what happened to the CMCs.  "Okay, now we've done everything." Scootaloo said in a disappointed mood. They didn't even bother with batting. __________________________________________________ Another interesting yet disappointing day went by. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo went to their homes and Spike went back to the library. Now it was time for Johnny and Applebloom to head home. Applebloom was still sad about her cutie mark and held her head down. Johnny had to do something to cheer her up. "Uh sis. You okay?" He asked with concern. "No Ah ain't alright!" Applebloom wined. "We're never gonna get our cutie marks! Never!" She cried out.  "Well hey, at least YOU have a chance at getting one. I don't think I'm ever gonna get one of my own." Johnny pointed out.  "THAT'S BECAUSE YER NOT A PONY! Ya can't get one unless yer a pony!" Applebloom retorted.  'Oh there it is again. Even my own sister has to bring it up.' Johnny thought. He looked down the road and saw that the farm-house wasn't too far. "Can we just go home? Maybe you can talk ta Applejack or Big Macintosh." Johnny suggested. "O-okay. Ah will." She replied wiping her tears. The two continued down the road to their home and found their family in the living room. Applebloom and Johnny explained the whole predicament to them.  "Don't y'all worry none sugar cube. Yer favorite brother 'nd sister are here ta help. Johnny why don't you go on up to bed? We're gonna talk ta Applebloom here for a bit." Applejack said while she comforted her sister.  "Okay good night." He said to them and walked to his room. He put Twist's candy cane on his night stand and thought about today. Today seemed exhausting for him. He went on his first date, and watched as his sister and friends made a life changing decision. Johnny was close to falling asleep when he heard Applebloom's voice in his head.  'THAT'S BECAUSE YER NOT A PONY! Ya can't get one unless yer a pony!' Her voice echoed in his head. He sat up once more and looked outside his window. The moon was full and bright and the whole orchard was visible from his window.  "What can I do? I'm great friends with almost everypony but... at the same time.... I feel so distant? What do I gotta do to stop that feeling?" Johnny asked himself as he pondered this. ____________END Such a quick update. Anyways. I want to thank all of you for your feedback. And again getting featured on your first day is awesome!
