// Story: You can't handle the tooth!

It was a partly sunny day today, the sky glows a blue hue, the sun shines even though many big and white puffy clouds block part of the sun. The sounds of a hardworking pony bucking trees can be heard. Then a horde of green and red apples fell into the brown bucket. Apple Jack hit the tree again with her hoofs. She's been bucking trees since noon. 

Tomorrow, she will make Apple Sauce and sell it for a profit. Apple Sauce has became popular even more popular than Zap Apple Jam.

Apple Bloom just came back from school. An upside down grin rest on her face, all day her teeth were bothering her. When she takes a bite of her lunch, her tooth started hurting, the pain was hurtful and was like if a bee stung her. 

Her friends tried to help her but she was stubborn and said that she's fine and maybe just forgot to brush her teeth this morning, which is very rare, she brushes her teeth every morning and never forgets. 

She bit into the cookie Granny Smith made and before she can chew and swallow the cookie her teeth started hurting and she placed her hoof to cover her mouth. Mrs. Cheerlie asked her what was wrong  but again she said that she's fine.

Apple Jack looked over to Apple Bloom and asked, "Hey, Apple Bloom! How was school?"

Apple Bloom then looked up and saw Apple Jack standing in front of an apple tree filled with green and red apples. Next to her was a brown bucket. Apple Jack had a smile on her face. Apple Bloom tried to think of an answer but all she could mutter was in a deep and angry tone, "It was great.."

Apple Jack could tell something is wrong with Apple Bloom since that isn't her usual tone, and when she's upset after school usually it's because Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara made fun of her, the two filly's always bullied her for not having a cutie mark but get punished, Apple Jack asked in a concerned tone, "Did something happen in school? Did those two mean fillies bullied you?"

There was silence among them, Apple Bloom then shook her head and said, "N- No... it's just that.." she was trying to decide to lie or to tell Apple Jack about her tooth, she doesn't want to make Apple Jack worry so much and feared Apple Jack will take her to the dentist, she hates the dentist.

Apple Bloom sighed, looked Apple Jack in the eye and told her in a serious tone, "My tooth hurts.. all day my tooth hurt.. even when ya was eating food and that cookie Granny Smith gave me... ya lied and said that ya was fine and ya just forgot to brush.. my teeth.."

Apple Jack had a worried look on her face, she then said after a short silence, "Oh.. well.. Ya will take you to the dentist, the dentist will help you feel better.."

Apple Bloom argued in an angry tone, "But.. ya don't wanna go to the dentist.." Apple Jack was taken back by Apple Bloom's sudden outburst, she then walked over.

She said, "But Apple Bloom.. the dentist will help you... the dentist's job is to help you feel better.. and that tooth will get worse and it could be even more dangerous and more painful.. trust me!"

Apple Bloom shook her head, Apple Jack begged, "Please?"
Apple Bloom said, "No, Apple Jack.. Ya ain't going to the dentist, end of story!"

Apple Jack then said in an angry tone, "Apple Bloom, you need to go to the dentist.. please listen to me.. you will thank me one day, squirt! I am being honest!"

Apple Bloom pushed Apple Jack aside and whined, "NO!" She ran into the house, fear were in her eyes. She refused to go to the dentist, she is scared of the dentist, she heard stories were dentist put drills in ponies' mouth, she thought dentist were maniacs and she thought it was unnecessary since she thought the tooth will fall from her mouth from it's own.

Apple Jack was chasing her, but Apple Bloom ran upstairs , Apple Jack was catching her breath, she never saw Apple Bloom ran that fast before. Granny Smith was frying eggs from the pan, she wore a white apron. She heard the two ponies ran. She turned around and yelled in a concerned tone, "Why are you two running?"

Apple Jack then said while trying to catch her breath, "Granny Smith... Apple Bloom's tooth was hurting all day at school and she told me about it.. I told her that we will see a dentist but she said no and ran off.."

Granny Smith listened to Apple Jack's story. She remembered when she was too afraid to go to the dentist, she then said, "Let me talk to her." She then told Apple Jack to cook the eggs and bacon while she is taking care of Apple Bloom. She then went upstairs, she tried to open the door but it was locked.

Granny Smith knocked on the door. Apple Bloom yelled in an angry tone, "Ya ain't going to the dentist, Apple Jack, go away!"

Granny Smith then replied, "It's me, Granny Smith.. I just want to talk to you!" She took a step back as the door was being opened.

Apple Bloom then asked, "What do you need to talk to me about?"

Granny Smith then said, "It's about your tooth problem.. why don't you want to go to the doctor? Don't you want your tooth problems to go away," 

She then muttered in a deep tone and looked away, "Unlike my taxes!"

Apple Bloom looked away, she didn't know what to say, she then spoke, "Ay...  do, I am just afraid of the dentist.. I don't want the dentist to put a big drill in ma mouth, ay have never been to the dentist before.."

Granny Smith then said, "It's okay to be afraid.. I was afraid of the dentist too once.. I promise.. it'll be okay!"


Apple Bloom then sighed and said, "Okay.." She then hugged Granny Smith.

Granny Smith took Apple Bloom to the dentist, she waited a while in the patient room, a big room with chairs, receptionist, and ponies sleeping. Apple Bloom and Granny  Smith waited in there for an hour which felt like forever. She and Granny Smith went into the dentist's office.


The Dentist room had two windows showing the outside of the building they are in, the office also had a big chest, like a treasure chest, Apple Bloom cannot but wonder why there is a treasure chest in the office, there were ebobble heads, fuzzy mats, and three red chairs. Then, all of a sudden, a mare with yellow coat, purple hair, and cozy blue eyes came in, she was wearing a dentist coat. She asked, "Hello, my name is Wisdom Tooth," She then continued, "What's the problem?"

Granny Smith then spoke to Wisdom Tooth, "My granddaughter, Apple Bloom.. has problems with her tooth, she said she has a cavity!" 

Wisdom Tooth then smiled and spoke in a gentle tone, "I see, is this true, Miss Apple Bloom?"

Apple Bloom nodded her head. Wisdom Tooth raised the seat, Apple Bloom was laying in, told her to open her mouth which she did, and shined light into her mouth, she used her tools to investigate the problem, after a few minutes which felt like forever to Apple Bloom, she then saw one of her tooth had some small brown spots. She moaned, "Oh dear.."

Wisdom Tooth asked Apple Bloom in a gentle tone, "Does it hurt when you eat something?" she pulls the tools she used close to her.

Apple Bloom nods her head again. Wisdom Tooth then said, "I see.."

She then stands up, washes the tools, then puts the tools on the gray table on her left. She then sits on the chair. She then said, "Miss Apple Bloom.. we can solve this problem easily!"

She then did the procedure to take care of Apple Bloom's tooth which took an hour, but to Apple Bloom it felt like five minutes, Apple Bloom's tooth operation is done. Wisdom tooth then said in a gentle tone, "It's done you can get off the chair now."

Apple Bloom then was asked by Wisdom Tooth in a gentle and calm tone, "Do you feel any pain?"

Apple Bloom said, "No.. thanks Wisdom Tooth!" She then quickly glanced at the treasure chest and asked, "Hey, what is that treasure chest doing in your office?"

Wisdom Tooth then spoke in a calm tone, "Apple Bloom, it is a chest with tons of prizes to good fillys and colt who behaved themselves during the visit to the dentist.. since you were a good little patient. how about you pick ONE thing from the chest?" She placed a heavy emphasis on the one part.

Granny Smith then said in a cheerful tone, "You deserve it, Apple Bloom!"

Apple Bloom walked over to the chest, pride filled her heart.

she was also happy the tooth pain was gone and she promised herself to not lie to her friends nor her teacher.

She then opened it and picked out a toy, she picked a skateboard, she hoped she could get her cutie mark in skateboarding and she will stop being teased by Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. She then walked back to where Granny Smith and the dentist Dr. Wisdom Tooth were standing.

Granny Smith was impressed with Apple Bloom's selection, she said, "Good choice! Good thing we have helmets and knee  braces in the garage from when I used to skate!"


Then, the sun was setting, the sky had a red/orange hue. The two walked home.

Apple Jack was waiting for them, she watched them come closer to the home. The smell of eggs and turkey reached Apple Bloom's nose, she asked, "Is that Turkey and eggs?"

Apple Jack then said in a happy tone, "You bet, Apple Bloom! How was the dentist?"

Apple Bloom replied in a cheerful tone, "It was awesome! the pain is gone and since Ay was a good patient Ay pick this skateboard.. Ya can get my cutie mark in Skateboarding. Can't wait to shred!"
