Everyone was on the train heading for Canterlot and it was taking a while to arrive. After about an hour our heroes finally arrived in Canterlot. They got off the train and headed straight for the castle. At the gate they were greeted by the guards.
"Halt! State your business!" One guard asked.
"Princess Celestia called for us. And as for the boys they are with us." Twilight answered.
"Oh. Sorry for the inconvenience. Go on in." The other guard said.
The guards let our heroes in the castle and they made their way to see the princess. Now the boys were a little confused since they never met Celestia or her sister for that matter but if she was able to help them stop Sombra then what have they got to lose? Inside the castle George and Harold admired the colored windows telling legends. Once they arrived in the throne room they were greeted by two ailcorns. One is white and a mane of blue, green and pink. She also has a sun cutie mark. She was Princess Celestia. The other is dark blue and a mane of stars. She was Luna. They smiled seeing the gang all here.
"Twilight Sparkle. I'm glad you and your friends could make it." Celestia smiled.
"Us too princess. Celestia I like you to meet our new friends. This is George Beard, Harold Hutchins, and their comic creation: Captain Underpants." Twilight introduced.
"Your Highness." The boys said and bowed in unison.
Luna giggled. "Boys. There's no need to be formal with us. Just call us Celestia and Luna."
"Okay. We will keep that in mind. So you wanted to see us?" Harold asked.
"Yes. First off is it true that you boys made this?" Celestia asked holding a comic with her magic.
"Yes Celestia. See we made hundreds of comics over the years. Harold likes drawing the pictures and I like to tell the story." George explained.
"I see. You boys certainly have a big imagination and how were you able to bring this Captain Underpants to life?" Celestia asked looking at Captain Underpants.
"That's a long story. But the short version is we used a hypno ring on him and during the first battle he gained powers and that's how we really created Captain Underpants." Harold answered.
"Hmm. Interesting. Anyways there's another reason why you all are here. King Sombra returned and is planning to take the Crystal Empire again. With some new shadows he has." Luna said.
"Um Luna? We noticed that Sombra is back. We faced one of his shadows that he sent." George noted.
"Yes. It was true. But luckily we vanished that shadow straight in the light! My sidekicks did a good job helping me." Captain Underpants agreed.
"Ahh. I see your caught up then. Wonderful. Anyways I called you here because the Crystal Empire needs your help. You must stop King Sombra from taking the Empire again and vanquish his shadow minions. As for you boys you will help Twilight and her friends defeat any tough shadows that Sombra could send out." Celestia said to the boys.
"But Celestia how do we help Twilight and her friends defeat any shadows that Sombra has? We faced the real creations from our previous comics before but Sombra is different than anything else we faced." George asked.
"Worry not boys. Me and my sister will grant you powers to defeat King Sombra. But first I wish to see what creations from your comics you have faced." Celestia asked.
"Go ahead. You can look." Harold replied.
So Celestia used her magic to look inside their minds. Then she saw the visions of them first summoning Captain Underpants and stopping all sorts of crime. Starting with taking down an evil baby genius named Dr. Diaper, stopped an army of talking toilets, defeated a wicked wedgie woman, stopped a guy named Poopypants from wiping out laughter, we even took down a Homework Hydra and so much more. She smiled seeing everything and knowing their heroic deeds.
"Well you boys certainly have saved your world plenty of times. And though you made those villains in your comics you know what to do when they came to life." Celestia smiled.
"Yes Celestia. It has happened plenty of times and we always have Captain Underpants to help save the day." Harold replied.
"You really do. Now sister? Let's grant them some powers to defeat King Sombra." Celestia told her.
"Right back at you." Luna said.
The two combined their magic and shot a beam of yellow and blue light at them covering their bodies. In the bloodstream we see the blood cells flexing their muscles as a way of saying that the power is kicking in. When the light died down the boys landed on the ground. Then they felt a little funny.
"Ooh. I kinda feel funny after that. I wonder what powers we got?" George asked.
"Why don't you find out? And Captain Underpants? That symbol on your chest is representing the day." Luna said as Captain Underpants saw the sun symbol on his chest.
"Wowie! Now King Sombra will feel the light soon enough!" Captain Underpants smiled.
"Now let's see what powers we got!" George said.
The boys first tried flying and when they focused on their feet up they went! They flew around laughing and George placed his hands on his head created brain rings. Then he noticed two hypno rings on each middle finger. He used them on a guard placing him in a full mind control. He then snapped him out of it and the guard fell down. Then Harold tried out his powers. When he landed he suddenly ran super fast and stopped in front of the girls. Then he noticed two rainbow rings on each middle finger. He used them on the wall to create a drawing of the Wicked Wedgie Woman. And to his surprise it came to life!! Then he blasted a beam of black and white and made the drawing disappear. The boys smiled seeing what powers they got.
"Wow! I got telekinesis! Sick!" George said.
"And I got magic art powers! We are so ready to stop King Sombra now!" Harold replied.
"You bet you are boys! Never worry Celestia! We'll stop King Sombra if it's the last thing we do!" Rainbow responded.
"I'm glad to hear that. Now go to the Crystal Empire and stop King Sombra. They are your only hope." Celestia said.
The gang heard her command and headed out the door and began their mission. Then as they got out the door Rarity had an idea. She used her magic to give the boys different costumes. George had a suit with a science symbol on his chest and a helmet he was wearing on his face. Harold was wearing a rainbow suit and cape with sunglasses and a color wheel symbol on his chest.
"Oh yeah! Now here REALLY ready to stop King Sombra!" George said.
"Thanks for the costumes Rarity!" George thanked.
"Anytime darlings. Now let's head to the Crystal Empire!" Rarity announced.
"Right you are Rarity! It's time to vanquish some shadows and take down it's king! Come sidekicks! Let's save the day!! Tra la laaaa!!" Captain Underpants agreed and flew off.
Since George and Harold can fly too they took to the sky followed Captain Underpants. Then Rainbow and Fluttershy decided to fly with them while the others took the train following them to the Crystal Empire where they will face the evil King Sombra. Can they stop him? Or will the Crystal Empire be covered in dark shadow?
