Back with George and Harold they built a little stand to sell their latest comic book. They were selling it like hotcakes as ponies were taking them and were almost sold out.
"Extra! Extra! Read our latest comic!!" George shouted.
"Captain Underpants and the Deadly Shadows of Sombra!!" Harold announced.
As they were selling their comic they saw a familiar man running towards them all scared. It was Mr Krupp! But why is he scared?
"George! Harold! I'm so glad I found you!" Krupp said in relief.
"Mr Krupp? What are you doing back here? And when did you started being nice? Is this a trick?" Harold asked.
"No it's not a trick. But it's a long story." Krupp answered.
We go back to the last chapter after Sombra separated the negatrons and positrons from Krupp. Since he was the positive one he needed to get to George and Harold since they had battles like this before. Krupp can't keep running in his boxers forever so he ran into a clothes stores and quickly got in some clothes and continued looking for the boys and that brings us to today.
"So your saying that Sombra separated your negatrons and positrons meaning he took the negative Krupp and your the positive one?" George asked.
"Yes. I know it sounds crazy but it's true. And not only that but he's summoning a shadow monster to take this Crystal Empire." Krupp explained.
"A shadow monster?! How is he even going to do that?!" George asked scared.
Then Harold realized something. "George? What if Sombra saw our comic and is planning to bring it to life but with his own ending?"
They soon got their answer as they see an evil laughter coming from the shadow cloud forming into view. The minute everyone saw that they ran in fear as it blasted some evil lightning and destroyed a few houses. Then a head which looks like Krupp with glowing red eyes appeared and hissed like a snake scaring the trio.
"Time to quake in fear boys!" Shadow Krupp said.
"George I think that's one of Sombra's shadow minions! What do we do, what do we do, what do we do?!?!" Harold panicked.
"Calm down Harold! We do what we always do when stuff like that happens. Summon Captain Underpants!" George answered.
The two snapped their fingers and in no time Krupp spun around and all his clothes came off and turned into Captain Underpants!
"Tra la laaaaa!!" Captain Underpants said.
At the same time Twilight and her friends showed up with their Elements of Harmony on them.
"Boys! What's going on here?" Twilight asked.
"Twilight! Listen. We think Sombra's back and he sent one of his shadow minions to eliminate us! So we summoned Captain Underpants to try and stop that shadow!" George answered.
"Well if Sombra is back and he sent that shadow then let us help you. We dealt with Sombra plenty of times and you might need all the help you can get." Rainbow offered.
"Okay you can definitely help us. Now let's get that shadow creep!" George replied.
"Good thinking sidekicks! The more the merrier! Now prepare to be vanquished in the light you shadow monster!" Captain Underpants declared.
"Grr. Think you can stop me? Sombra will be victorious when he takes the Crystal Empire back! Let's do this!" Shadow Krupp said.
Then everyone charged into battle! And when the shadow was about to attack the whole scene froze as George and Harold came in front of the readers.
"Freeze! The following scenes contain stuff that may be a little violent to kids. But we can only show it using a technology known as Flip-o-rama!!" George announced.
Then Harold got his notebook with the pictures for Flip-o-rama.
"Okay. First the shadow cloud gave Captain Underpants the fist slam." Harold said as he flipped the page back and forth making the picture move.
"Then he made an Underpants sandwich." Harold continued.
"But then just as he has Captain Underpants in his grasp the ponies used their magic to blind his eyes and release him!" George replied.
"Oh yes! And then Rainbow Dash flew around and around making the shadow really dizzy!" Harold said.
"But the shadow shook it off and blasted some lightning at the ponies but Twilight used a shield spell to protect everyone from getting hit." George commented.
"Yes. Now the shadow didn't realize it but George and Harold's plan was working. So they told Rarity, Starlight, and Twilight to combine their magic to unleash a powerful beam to eliminate the shadow." Harold announced.
"And lucky for them it worked perfectly. The shadow was down but they still needed to defeat it." George said as Harold flipped the last page ending the Flip-o-rama and back to the fight scene.
"What was that Flip-o-rama?!" Pinkie asked.
"We'll explain later! We gotta eliminate that shadow!" Harold replied.
Rarity, Starlight and Twilight were still blasting it with their magic and it was starting to weaken. But it still had strength to blast lightning at them. The ponies dodged and when Twilight blasted some magic at the shadow it hit him straight in the face as he yelled in pain clutching his eyes.
"This is impossible! You can't possibly defeat me that easy! IM SOMBRA'S SHADOW MINION OF POWER!!!" Shadow Krupp said throwing a fit.
"You may be Sombra's shadow minion but you like act like the real Mr Krupp. And you forgot about one thing buddy." Rainbow said.
"And what's that?" Shadow Krupp asked.
"That shadows are afraid of the light. And with the magic of friendship all of us including George, Harold and Captain Underpants we will vanquish the darkness and bring the light!" Twilight shouted in glory.
Then she prepared her ultimate spell when she and her friends are about to vanquish a foe. They all activated the Elements and began floating in a rainbow aura. Then Twilight brought the boys in the group and once they opened their eyes a rainbow beam was blasted in the face of Shadow Krupp and covered him in the light as he began to be vanquished away into nothingness while screaming. Then he exploded into rainbow stars never to be seen again. The group came down and saw the burn marks of the defeated shadow.
"We did it! We stopped the shadow!" George said.
"Well done sidekicks! Now that the shadow is gone the village is safe once again!" Captain Underpants said in victory.
"Not yet. George, Harold. You boys said that Sombra's back?" Starlight asked.
"Yes Starlight. See we think we accidentally dropped one comic and Sombra must have seen it causing him to do everything in there. Only he's planning to take this Crystal Empire back in his own ending." Harold explained.
"That's bad. We have to stop Sombra before he takes the Crystal Empire again! My brother and my sister in law are there! Who knows what chaos he'll cause!" Twilight worried.
"Relax fellow princess. You can certainly count on me and my sidekicks to stop Sombra before it's too late." Captain Underpants assured.
Then Spike's belly bloated and burped a message. Twilight got it and read it. Turns out it was from Celestia and she needed to see her, her friends and the boys at once.
"Princess Celestia needs to see us. Let's head to Canterlot and see what she needs!" Twilight replied.
"Who's Princess Celestia?" George asked.
"She's the ruler of Equestria along with her sister. You'll meet them in Canterlot. Come on gang! Let's see what she needs and hopefully it's a mission to stop King Sombra!" Rainbow said.
So everyone headed straight to the train station and made their way to Canterlot. The Crystal Empire is in danger again and the gang need to save it from Sombra's clutches before darkness consume the land.
