Back with the gang they finally arrived at Starlight's place and the boys got everything they need to make their latest comic book. Rainbow couldn't be more excited to see the comic when it was finished.
"So boys. I got a few ideas for you. How's about Captain Underpants face Queen Chrysalis?" Rainbow offered.
"Nah. Maybe something more scary looking." Harold replied.
"Ooh I got it! How about Captain Underpants face King Sombra? He's scary and we beat him twice!" Rainbow asked.
"Hmm. That could work. What do you think George?" Harold asked.
"That sounds perfect. If we have a picture of what this King Sombra looks like we can totally do that!" George answered and Pinkie popped out and gave them a picture of King Sombra.
"Here you go. I always carry pictures. In case of picture emergencies." Pinkie said as she disappeared.
"Thanks. How on earth is she doing this crazy stuff?" Harold asked.
"It's Pinkie Pie darlings. I know it's confusing but it's better not to question her. You'll get used to it." Rarity responded.
"Okay?" The boys said in unison all confused.
"Let's work on the comic." George said.
The two agreed and got started on the comic. See George likes to write the story on every comic they do and Harold likes to draw the pictures that puts the story together like a puzzle. Page after page they continued to work on the comic til eventually they reached the last page. When they did they put all the pages in the right order telling the whole story from beginning to end. Then they stapled it together making it whole. And with a little help from Twilight she used a spell to make copies of the comic.
With her friends they were hanging out with each other til the trio came in the room with lots of copies of the comic.
"Whoa. You boys sure were mighty busy. Did you make all those copies?" Applejack asked.
"Actually we made one comic. Twilight gave us some help by cloning the comic. Anyways you guys wanna read this?" George asked.
"You kidding? Of course we do! Let's see it!" Rainbow said.
"Ok. Feast your eyes on our newest edition!" George commented as he gave everyone a copy of the comic.
"We call it...Captain Underpants and The Deadly Shadows of Sombra!" Harold replied.
"That is so cool!" Rainbow said as she saw the cover of Captain Underpants fighting alongside with the ponies taking down Sombra and his shadow minions of the boys teachers.
"Please read it please!!!" Pinkie begged.
"Ok Pinkie. We will. Let's begin." Harold said as everyone opened up the comic and started the story.
And so begins the story on the comic the boys worked on.
(Plus yellow will be Harold and brown is George. Now let's read!)
In the comic
"It was a lovely day at Jermone Horowitz Elementary. Well on the outside. The inside not so much." Harold started.
"Inside was like a prison. Rude teachers, boring lectures, and no kindness. Then when things couldn't be more boring they all had to sit through a boring invention presentation." George continued.
"Then during the presentation something was happening. An eerie shadow leaked through the invention and formed into an evil unicorn king named Sombra." Harold said ominously.
"HAHAHA!! Greetings you fools! I am King Sombra! So you kids wanna have some fun? Then let's have some REAL, SCARY, FUN!!!!" George said pretending to be Sombra.
"Sombra flashed a giant pair of glowing green eyes and put all the kids under his fear control making them see their worst fears. He even did it on the guy giving the presentation! Then he went to the teachers lounge and placed them under a different spell separating their negatrons from positrons." George commented.
"And now to use my shadow minions for my personal needs! First ill take over this pathetic school and then take over THE WORLD!!!" Harold said pretending to be Sombra.
"Then in a matter of minutes Sombra took control of the school and used the shadows of the teachers and formed them into a giant cloud of shadow with only their heads out hissing like snakes!" Harold replied.
"HAHAHA!! Now all of the world will bow in fear and I'll be the new ruler of them all!!!" George said pretending to be Sombra.
"Oh no! This looks like a job for..." Spike narrated while reading.
"Captain Underpants!!!" The ponies said in unison.
"So Sombra and Captain Underpants charged into battle! Sombra tried blasting him with his beams of dark magic but he dodged. He turned into shadow and flew above him in the air. Captain Underpants chased after him and tried punching him but it went through him." George started out.
"Your a slow learner aren't you? You cannot hit a shadow. But it can hit you!" Harold said pretending to be Sombra.
"Sombra then punched Captain Underpants and he crashed on the ground. He then tried different ideas for stopping him but nothing worked. Then out of the blue a group of different ponies came and helped him back on his feet." Harold replied.
"Then the kids told them that the only way to take a shadow is to make it see the light. So Captain Underpants distracted the shadow monster as it followed him leading into a trap. Then when it was in the sun the monster screamed in pain as the sun hurt it's eyes and the ponies using their magic of friendship made the monster explode releasing a wave breaking everyone from his control." George said.
"NO!!!! This can't be! I had you in the palm of my hooves!!" George said pretending to be Sombra.
"You may had your fun in the dark. But you forget about one thing Sombra. Whenever there's dark there will always be light!" Spike narrated pretending to be Captain Underpants.
"Then the kids took out a powerful potion of light magic and threw it at Sombra and once the ponies used the magic and hit the potion on Sombra he groaned in agony and exploded into nothingness. And so once again the day was saved again all thanks to Captain Underpants and his new friends!! The End." Harold concluded.
Out of the comic
Everyone closed the comic and applauded for George and Harold.
"Wowie! Best! Comic! EVER!!!" Pinkie cheered.
"Yeah I love this! Take that King Sombra! Though I'm certainly sure that our friendship magic will defeat him much faster if he comes here!" Rainbow smiled.
"Ooh careful what you wish for Rainbow. But were glad you like it. Now let's get these copies sold so we have some cash in our pockets." Harold replied.
"Ok. And is it okay if we keep these copies you gave us for ourselves?" Spike wondered.
"Sure thing Spike. We'll be outside if you need us." George said.
The two boys got their copies and headed outside to sell them for bits. But they didn't realize that a certain shadow king was watching them from the bushes.
"So those are the boys huh? Hmm. I really don't get why Krupp wants to rid of them." Sombra wondered.
Then he saw one copy drop out of the boys hands and quickly snatched it and went back to the cave looking to see if no one saw him.
"Whoo. I'm good. Now let's see what this is. Captain Underpants and the Deadly Shadows of Sombra? Is this supposed to be about me?" Sombra asked.
He then opened up the comic and began reading it. Shadow Krupp appeared and overheard him reading and grew angry and shouted in rage. Sombra heard that and plugged his mouth with a rock.
"Shut up! Why don't you be quiet?!" Sombra shouted and continued reading.
After a few minutes he closed the comic and took a deep breath and then spoke.
"Well I will admit that this George and Harold are certainly the creative type. But what they don't know is that i'll be writing my OWN ending. And that is take over Equestria and reclaim my empire!! But I may need some extra hooves or in this case hands." Sombra said.
Then he remembered something in the comic he read. He turned to the page that had the shadow monster and then he got an idea as a wicked smile formed on his face.
"So they have other enemies besides you huh Shadow Krupp?" Sombra said as he nodded yes. "Well then. I think I should pay them a little visit and see if I can convince them to destroy Ponyville. Maybe I'll even summon that same monster to take the Crystal Empire. Yes. That's exactly what I'll do." Sombra smiled evil as his eyes glowed green.
