//------------------------------// // An Interesting Aftermath // Story: Spider-Man Scaled Web-Head // by Corrupting Dragon28 //------------------------------// Spike had just gotten back to the library after the Diamond Dog fight, and he was feeling like he has been buried alive. 'Oh...man, I really need to remind myself to at least stretch before I take on my next Litter of Diamond Dogs.' Spike painfully thought as he entered the front door of the library. 'Wait, Is it called a kennel? Or a pack? Oh Whatever, A group of dogs or whatever creatures I fight next...Have I even critically thought about what I'm actually going to do with these spectacular powers, ever.' Spike for a second...before ultimately shrugging it off due to his exhaustion. 'Ugh...maybe next fight.' Spike thought as he took of his mask and continued upstairs to be greeted by Owlowisious who was distressed once he saw Spike. "Hoo?!" Owlowisious exclaimed as he worry, which made Spike confused over what was wrong, and his first thought was with what he's wearing. "Oh...uhh...this, this is just simple outfit for staying under...cover?" Spike said even more confused as Owlowisious flew to Twilight's work desk, and came back with a mirror so Spike could see what he's seeing as Owlowisious pointed the mirror towards Spike's face. "Oh man!" Spike also exclaimed as he fully witnessed his face was full of bruises and the bloody snot he had gotten from the fight. "I look like a bruised apple or banana...Wait how am I supposed to hide this?!" Spike nervously exclaimed not knowing what to do, but before he could even think about a plan on the fly...a piercing voice rang throughout the library "Spike! Are you here?!" Twilight screamed from the bottom floor and multiple hoof steps coming into the library alerting both creatures of their presence. 'Oh no, OH NO!! They can't be here...NOT NOW!' Spike thought in a panic, he couldn't move, Spike had went stiff as so much emotions raced through rushed to his head to keep up with, all the while he heard them galloping up the stairs...he didn't know what to do. With him being able to do nothing else...he closed his eyes...and prepared for the worse. "..." "He's not here?" Spike heard Rainbow Dash. '...Wait...what?' Spike thought before he slowly opened his eyes to see the Main 6 and the Cutie Mark Crusaders in the room right by him and instantly took a step back to be able to see all of them. "Spike!" Twilight called out to see if her 'assistant' was still there with all of her friends scanning the room for any trace of him. "I swear we heard him say he was stopping by the library to drop off something. If he's not here, then where is he." Scootaloo questioned, as she and rest of the CMC was really befuddled by the situation. "Maybe the little fella's hiding." Applejack suggested to the others. "Then he would've come out by now because he would've say it was us." Rainbow Dash added. "If that's the case, Spike wouldn't be hiding from us...would he?" Fluttershy questioned meekly while the other tried to to think of any other reason. "Well, maybe the dogs may have come in here too?" Apple Bloom saying her hypothesis...before it was shot down by Sweetie Belle "That's impossible. The library looks untouched." Sweetie Belle argued against Apple Bloom's claim with everyone present to agree to Sweetie Belle's claim. "Then, maybe he just didn't hear us. Come on out Spikey-Wikey! There's nothing to be afraid of." Rarity called out for the young dragon, and since the others didn't have any other bright ideas, they all began to call out for Spike while looking around the room. Spike was now around the ponies present making sure to not get in their way as he still questioned what was happening. 'Why...can't they...see--' Spike's thought process was soon cut off as he looked at his arms to see that they've turned transparent, then he looked all over his body to see that he's turned all over his body-including his costume-was transparent. 'I'm...INVISABLE?!' Spike realized as he tried to keep in his reaction to this as best as he could so he wouldn't blow his cover. 'B-B-But how is this possible?!' But before Spike could even try to question it for a second longer, he saw the group gather together again with their search being fruitless. "Girls, it obvious that he is not here." Rainbow Dash said bluntly. "Then where could he be?" Fluttershy asked still confused while Twilight took a breath so she can quickly come up with a plan. "Well if he's not here, then we just have to check all around Ponyville until we find him." Twilight proclaimed disheartened. "But where else can we check?" Rainbow Dash asked. "All over town if that's what it takes." Twilight answered, determined to find Spike. "I agree. I mean if they attacked the rally, they could have attacked any--" Pinkie Pie stopped midsentence as she came to a horrible realization. "MRS.CAKE!!!" Pinkie Pie screamed at the top of her lungs as she raced out the library towards Sugarcube Corner leaving the girls puzzled over what came over their pink friend. "Uhh...What's going on with Pinkie?" Scootaloo asked still bewildered by Pinkie Pie's actions before Applejack got onto what Pinkie Pie are thinkng. "Wait, if Pinkie's right and they did attack anywhere," Applejack said before Apple Bloom began to caught onto what Applejack was saying. "*Gasp* What about Sweet Apples Acres?!" Apple Bloom exclaimed with Rarity also catching on. "What about Carousel Boutique?!" Rarity also exclaimed with Fluttershy catching on and reacting just like Pinkie Pie. "My Animals!!!" Fluttershy exclaimed as she flew out the nearest window towards her cottage at speeds to rival Rainbow Dash. "Fluttershy, wait!" Twilight tried to call out to her but she was out of earshot until Rarity got her attention. "Y'know both Pinkie and Fluttershy both may have good ideas, darling." Rarity said to Twilight. "Huh?" Twilight questioned as Applejack continued to explain. "She's saying that maybe we should split up for the time being, while Rarity and I go check if our homes are still safe, you and Rainbow will go on the lookout for Spike." Applejack said as Twilight thought it over. "That ain't a bad idea, let's do it." Rainbow Dash said with Twilight agreeing with her. "Wait, what about us?" Scootaloo asked referring to her and the rest of the CMC. "You three will stay here just in case Spike comes back to the library." Twilight explained. "Wait, what?" Scootaloo asked confused. "We want to look for Spike too." Apple Bloom pleaded with the other CMC members agreeing with her. "Or at the very least help." Sweetie Belle added on but didn't work with the remaining mares. "Darling's, we can't risk any of you getting hurt in case any of those...dogs are still in town." Rarity said while gritting her teeth in having to mention those mutts again. "It's safer for the three of you if you stay here for the time being." Applejack said with the Cutie Mark Crusaders quickly giving up and accepting it. "Okay." The CMC said simultaneously in a defeated tone. "All right everypony, let's go." Twilight said as she and the remaining Main 6 galloped out of the library, leaving the CMC-and an invisible Spike) alone in the library. 'They're gone.' Spike thought finally calming down as he tried to get his plan together , his plan was to try to get out of the library and enter looking like he just got in. 'Now, I just have to--oh no!' Spike freaked out as he saw that his claw was slowly becoming uncamouflaged. With his reflexes, he quickly jumped to the ceiling with a, *WHOOSH* With it being partially heard by Sweetie Belle with her ear subtly twitching. "Hey, did any of you guys hear something?" Sweetie Belle asked suspiciously. "Uh...no?" Apple Bloom confusingly answered. "You're probably just hearing things, Sweetie Belle." Scootaloo said, trying to make sense of Sweetie Belle's weird feeling. "You're-You're probably right." Sweetie Belle concluded as Spike fully became uncamouflaged on the ceiling. Spike looked at his make-shift costume with the mask and hat being held with his tail and that his plan would be smoke if that his plan would be smoke if the CMC saw him like this. 'I need to get downstairs to the lab quickly.' Spike thought think that would be the best hiding spot for his 'costume'. He slowly wall crawled on the ceiling towards the stairwell while the CMC was looking in a different direction and quickly made and quickly made his move and swiftly crawled down the stairwell and quickly made is move and swiftly crawled down the stairwell and quickly and quietly made his way downstairs to the lab. Spike let out a sigh of relief to at least make it as far as he did, but then looked back down to his claws and quietly pondered what happened up there. "What did that Spider do to me?" He quietly said to himself, a little afraid of the answer he would get. "..." "Hoo." "What the-" Spike jumped and saw Owlowisious flying right next to him. "Wait, how-did-you?" Spike kept on stammering as he questioned how Owlowiscious got down to the lab so quickly. "Hoo." Owlowiscious hooted and Spike just kinda shrugged it off, concluding that he wouldn't get an answer. "Whatever, just stay here for little while, okay?" Spike asked as Owlowiscious perched nearby getting comfortable. "Hoo." Owlowiscious hooted while nodding, earning a grateful smile from Spike as he quickly took off his outfit and put it and the hat and mask under a table nearby so it stayed hidden but easy for him to find before turning to Owlowiscious again. "I'll be right back." Spike assured his feathered friend. "Hoo." Spike then swiftly walked back upstairs to the first floor and quietly left to exit through the downstairs window...or at least he tried. *Thud* Spike slipped on a book and landed on his back. 'I really gotta learn the user's manual for this so-called Spider-Sense.' Spike thought spitefully before picking himself up and dusting himself off, but this was just loud enough for the CMC to rush downstairs to see him recovering from his fall. "Spike!" The CMC said simultaneously once they saw him. "Hey you thre-ughh." Spike said being cut off by the CMC catching him in a bone crushing hug. "We were so worried about you." The CMC cried out all at once, which left him surprised as he was slowly turning blue from the lack of oxygen which the CMC quickly took notice and let go of him. "Thanks," Spike whimpered out as he regained his breath. "I was worried too, about the diamond dogs hurting anyone else, or you girls." Spike said still exasperated. "Wait, is that who done this to you?" Sweetie Belle said as she pointed towards Spike's wounded face. "Well, yeah." Spike admitted. "That took real guts Spike." Apple Bloom said with smile which once again left him speechless. "...You mean me taking a beating?" Spike asked confusingly with Scootaloo continuing. "It means you helped stick to those diamond dogs, willing to be in their way like that is took a strong kind of creature." Scootaloo said while flashing a smirk while Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom nodded sharing the same thought. "I appreciate that girls." Spike asked smile before Sweetie Belle got a thought. " Wait a second. Spike did you see the Spider?" Scootaloo blurted out with Spike becoming confused by what she meant...kind of, but he couldn't convey that. "The what? Spike asked with a raised brow. "Well, he wouldn't know if he hadn't even seen the fight." Apple Bloom reminded Scootaloo with Sweetie Belle adding in. "And he wouldn't have even known what he even looked like.' Sweetie Belle said with Scootaloo defending herself. "But he'd at least have to have seen a figure parkouring through the roof tops with even Rainbow Dash failing to catch up to him." Scootaloo called to mind. "Wait, Seriously?" Spike exclaimed actually surprised with what Scootaloo recalled. Spike just thought he got lucky when Rainbow Dash lost track of him. he still does. ...Then Spike realized he's gotten off track and still had to cover his tracks. "Wait, Wait, Wait. Who is this 'Spider'." Spike asked. "He's the one who protected us at the rally." Sweetie Belle explained to the dragon. "I felt like Rainbow Dash was herself was protecting us with how fast he was." Scootaloo energetically sated while jumping up and down with her wings fluttering, leaving Spike a little flattered by her reaction." "He was like a real superhero, like from those comics you read Spike." Apple Bloom commented to Spike as she watched her with disbelief with Sweetie Belle continuing. "He was just so..." Sweetie Belle began before Scootaloo and Apple Bloom jumped in. "AMAZING!" The CMC simultaneously. Spike couldn't believe it, he was being praised without them even knowing it was him. 'Amazing...huh.' Spike ruminated. Ponyville quickly went back to normal the next few days after having fixed the minor damages the Diamond Dogs caused to the town, the was still taking about the ever-allusive 'Spider' that hasn't been seen since his appearance the Mare Do Well rally. Most of the Main 6 was still suspicious of what everypony so-called new hero. Twilight had told the Main 6 to keep an eye out for him, having heard of Twilight's plan, Spike tried to keep himself from using his power unless it was an emergency because of dangerous it became when trying to lose it, seeing as how he faired against the Diamond Dogs alone. But that didn't stop him for training as much as he could. The coming three months that had passed had been a little more than eventful. Ignoring the usual mess that his life was in, it was interesting. From having to help-more like deal with-in more of the Main 6's problems, Spike helping out with a Apple Family Tradition as a favor for Apple Bloom(which was more fun than he'd thought it'd be.) and a birthday party he could have done without(with a great shiny surprise,), and speaking of which he was still waiting for when Mrs.Cake was going to have her baby. The Cakes had privately thanked him for protecting Mrs.Cake from the Diamond Dogs, they would have given him the whole store if Spike hadn't talked them out of it, but it meant alot to Spike that they would keep his secret safe, even if they didn't understand(Not sure if he understood.) He hasn't talked to them recently, or most of his friends with getting wrapped up in his own...well. Spike had hoped that thing's will calmed down so he could finally take a breath and properly think of what he should do with these powers or just himself, but like usual with having to take care of the house, providing for Twilight's pet, Do all of the cooking, having to babysit Twilight and sometimes the Main 6 just because it's 'Twilight's' pleasure, the paperwork and with the added addition to the many many...many test failures there has been for his Web Shooters...it had been a lot for Spike. But it wasn't even close to over for him yet... Spike had been walking through Ponyville with a bag full of supplies for his Web-fluid looking dejected, thinking about what transpired last night. Last Night... Spike had been in his lab mixing his new batch of Web Fluid and finished with his writing down in his lab notebook that he had been writing the other tests in. "Web Fluid Test #47:" Spike said out loud as wrote it down. Spike then took his Web-Fluid and loaded it into his new Web-Cartridges which he then loaded it into his freshly made Web-Shooters. Spike put them on and aimed it at a make-shift practice dummy. 'Come Spikey, this will work...it has to.' Spike thought as he took a breath for extra reassurance. Then he fired it... And it exploded webs all over the place. "*sigh*Another failure." Spike said dismally as he burned the splattered webs, thankful that he hadn't made them fire-proof yet. "Must have been a problem with the pressure...again." Spike said with more disdain in his voice as he walked back to the table, he took off his Web-Shooters and used his tools he had on the table to get the broken cartridges out, when that was finished, he grabbed his notebook to conclude his test. "Web Fluid Test #47: Failure." End Flashback... Spike looked at his Web Fluid supplies in his bag still fresh with the scars last night. He had been starting to lose hope that this was ever going to work, but if he thought like that Spike wouldn't have quit last night. He built his Web-Shooters and he could make the Fluid work too. But before he could refocus on getting back to the lab... *BZZZTTT* 'Wait wha-' "Whoaa." "Hey!" *Thud* "Ow." Spike groaned before he saw the brown coated colt with a orange mane that had crashed into him. Not wasting another second, Spike got to his feet to help him up. "Sorry about that, let me help you up." Spike said offering a claw as the colt took it. "Thanks...wow." The colt in awe at the dragon, which got the young drake confused for a minute. "Wow, I never thought I'd meet a real life dragon before." The young colt said. "Uhh... you must be new to town. Hi I'm Spike." Spike introduced himself to the young colt. "You too, My name's Button Mash." Button Mash said as he shacked his claw. "Great to meet ya." Spike said as he smiled towards the newly acquainted colt. "I'd never thought I'd meet a dragon when I moved to Ponyville." Button Mash said before Spike noticed something on the ground. "Hey, you dropped something." Spike said, pointing to the object on the floor. "Oh my Joy-Boy, thanks man." Button Mash said as he picked up the device. "Uhh sorry to pry but, what is that?" Spike questioned, leaving Button Mash stunned. "You never played Video Games before!?" Button Mash exclaimed with Spike catching onto what Button Mash was getting too. Spike all but knew of Video Games, he was just a bit too busy for that kind of stuff(Even if he wanted to.). "Oh right, I know about them, I just never had much time to play on before." Spike said while just remembering how much time he had per day, which was not before Button Mash grabbed him by the shoulders. "You have come over to my house. Wait scratch that, we just moved in. I'll find you later and I'll make it you're best day ever!" Button Mash stated as he galloped away beaming with determination, leaving Spike there flabbergasted. "..." And also speechless by the looks of it. *The Next Day* Spike started his morning off painfully for him, he wanted to ditch Twilight as soon as he was done serving her, but he was stuck trailing her and the rest of the Main 6 as they had their fun together, waiting for them to call it day and go home...until something caught his hearing. "So Jackie, when are we going to get digging on that trench?" Pinkie Pie asked the farm mare with an awaiting smile. "Well, it's most likely going to be the day before, so it's still fresh for the migration." Applejack explained to her pink friend with Rarity soon adding in. "Oh and I'm almost done with my finishing touches for my camouflage and it is going to be fabulous~" Rarity dramatically said with Rainbow Dash sporting a confused look towards her. "Uhh...isn't the point of camouflage is to hide what you actually look like?" Rainbow Dash said towards the mare in question but the tension was cut off as Fluttershy spoke up to her confusion. "Um...sorry if I'm interrupting, but what migration are you girls talking about? Is it something like the butterfly migration me and Rainbow Dash went to?" Fluttershy asked with sparkles in her eyes as Rainbow Dash shot a confused look again but to all of her friends(except Fluttershy and Spike) this time. "You guys didn't tell her about the Dragon Migration?" Rainbow Dash questioned her friends as Fluttershy's face shrunk in fear, while Spike was caught in intrigue. "We were all busy Rainbow, besides you, the rest of us have responsibilities." Applejack said in the defense of her friends, earning a scowl from the Rainbow haired mare. "D-D-D-Dragons?" Fluttershy asked meekly in fear as Spike decided to join in on the conversation. "Waitwaitwait. What is the Dragon Migration." Spike asked the 6 mares(minus Fluttershy). "Oh it is sooo awesome, every few years, dragons pass overhead of Ponyville during their migration path to a new area," Rainbow Dash said excitedly. "Most of Ponyvile watches from their homes, but," Rarity chimed in but didn't get far before Twilight decided to interject. "But we are getting a closer look of it. To actually have this chance to study a dragons directional patterns, is just a opportunity not to pass up!" Twilight exclaimed with more excitement than Rainbow Dash, Spike rolled his eyes at the scene but soon realized something. "Wait...if they pass by a every few years, they couldn't be using the same path. So how do you guys know where their coming from this time?" Spike asked the present ponies while Fluttershy still seemed paralyzed with fear. "One of our reports from Princess Celestia said the dragon's flight path during their migration just in case of anything happens." Twilight said with a clueless smile. 'Dragon's...wow, wait why would she say them their "just in case." in her report? and how did Sunbutt even get to know about this in the first place?. Spike thought questionable as he tried to think of an answer, but not before getting interrupted by Twilight. "Oh and Spike, if you make some pastries for the dragon watching for us, that'll be just great." Twilight said with the same cheeky little smile that Spike had grown to hate, but having been in this type of situation before, he knew he couldn't refuse,...as much as he wanted to. "Yeah, ok. When is this anyway?" Spike asked them. "It's just about 3 days away, darling.?" Rarity said with Rainbow Dash still circling them with excitement. "Oh, this is going to be sooo awesome. Looking at real fire breath- wait where's Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash questionably asked as they all started to look around to see that their pink-haired friend had fled the scene with anyone noticing. "Oh I'm sure she's fine. She's probably going home to prepare and was too excited to keep it in!" Pinkie Pie said bouncing in one place as she had strangely managed to get her friends thinking the same thing...but not Spike. "Yeah...and I'm dragon royalty." Spike said under his breath. Spike was walking around Ponyville lost in thought over what to think of this whole migration situation and it was perplexing to him...that he didn't see what was approaching him fast. *BZZZTTTTT* 'Huh.' "Hey, watch out!" Spike heard somepony say. 'Not this time!' Spike rapidly thought before he flipped out of the pony's crash zone as they skidded across the ground where Spike previously was. 'I really should've tried to catch them.' Spike thought before hasty helping them out. "Here let me you up." Spike said to the fallen pony with them taking his claw in return and got back to their hooves. "Thanks...Spike?" The pony asked as Spike instantly recognized the colt. "Rumble?" Spike asked to them. "Yeah, we met at the...pegsai water thing." Rumble said to the dragon who shared his plight. "Yeah, I know. I don't remember what it was called either." Spike also not remembering what it was called. "So how've you been." Spike asked the pegasus. "Oh I've been great, been getting more training with Thunderlane as part of his training to get into the Wonderbolts mostly so that's happening, but what about you? I haven't seen you around Ponyville as often." Rumble said towards the dragon, which made him feel a little more awkward with Spike not knowing what to say. "Well it's gotten really busy for me...but a question I have is, what had you...crash like that?" Spike asked, quickly diverting the conversation towards Rumble. "Oh right. Sorry about that and nice flip by the way." Rumble said while awkwardly smiling. "Thanks and it's no problem. So what happened." Spike asked the pegasus in question. "Oh right. So I been starting to train my legs because Thunderlane once said that you have to train all of you're body instead of just you're wings." Rumble began explaining. "That makes sense." Spike said while not getting where this was hiding. ",and I was running through Ponyville and I..." Rumble said beginning to freeze up. "Listen, dude...You don't have to say it if you don't want to." Spike said to Rumble to try and release some tension. "No no I got this. I was running around town and I...slipped on a banana peel." Rumble said in embarrassment. "Oh." "And that resulted with slipping and to now." Rumble quickly concluded with Spike also trying to comfort him. "Hey, I've been in more of my share of embarrassing moments." Spike admitted to the stressed clot. "Really? Like what?" Rumble asked him. "Uhh..." Spike looked around until his eyes sat was set upon Sugarcube Corner close by. "...Well we could about it with a couple of milksh-" Spike was going to suggest before something in yelled at them in the form of another colt. "Spike!!" Button Mash exclaimed while galloping towards them with a light green saddle bag. "Button Mash?!" They both exclaimed as they recognized the brown coated colt. "I brought my game droid with all sorts of- Oh, hey Rumble." Button mash said while recognizing the pegasus. "Wait, you know him." Spike asked Rumble with a surprised look towards the colt. "Yeah, he's the new kid, he just joined Miss Cheerilee's class. How do you know him?" Rumble redirected the question back at the dragon. "Rumble, meet the first pony that crashed into me yesterday." Spike said referring to the brown colt. "Really?" Rumble questioned Button Mash with a cheekily smirk. "Yeah, I was kind of in a rush and didn't really watch where I was going." Button Mash admitted with his own embarrassed smile. "So, What's up?" Spike asked Button Mash. "Oh, right! I promised you that I'll so you my videogame collection for my game droid," Button Mash said while bringing out his game droid(with Spike being the first time seeing it.) ",even through I have more, this is the only one's that'll fit in my bag." Button Mash said under his breath which both Rumble and Spike heard. "Well...I was just about to invite Rumble to get some milkshakes, so if he wants to, do you want to come with us?" Spike aske d Button Mash to which he instantly replied. "Of course! it'll give me an opportunity to show off my gaming skills." Button Mash exclaimed excitedly, which made Spike chuckle before he turned his attention back to pegasus. "How about it, Rumble?" Spike asked Rumble to which he shrugged carelessly. "Sure, why not?" Rumble accepted and like that, the trio headed towards Sugarcube Corner and on the way they talked about what kind of milkshakes they liked and loved to which Rumble said Chocolate Swirl Milkshakes, Button Mash said Peanut Butter Milkshakes, and lastly Spike said a Double-Chocolate Milkshakes, to which confused both Rumble and Button Mash. "What's a Double-Chocolate Milkshake? I don't think I ever heard of them before." Button Mash questioned the dragon with Rumble quickly adding in. "Yeah, I didn't even know Sugarcube Corner had that flavor." Rumble built on to which Spike excitedly explained to them. "Oh yeah, it's new. it's like a normal chocolate milkshake but they blend it using brownie batter and it's soo delicious~" Spike explained dreamily to the amusement of Button Mash and Rumble as they walked through Sugarcube Corner's door, and soon a voice called out to them. "Hi, Spike." The Cake's called out to the dragon from the counter with big smiles, which got the two colts besides looking at him because of the sort of odd behavior. "Uhh yeah. Why don't you guy's find a seat while I order the milkshakes." Spike said to the two colts. "Um, sure." Rumble reluctantly agreed as he when to the nearest table. "Got it." Button Mash followed Rumble to the table as Spike went to the counter to greet the Cakes. "Uhh...Hi, Mr and Mrs.Cake." Spike nervously said. "Oh Dearie, how are you today?" Mrs.Cake asked Spike in her usual sweet tone and smile as Mr.Cake went in the back. "Oh I'm just uh...fine thanks," Spike answered while looking at the two colts getting acquitted with Button Mash showing off the games he bought with him to Rumble. "More Importantly, how are you and baby doing?" Spike asked the pregnant mare. "Oh just a little pain here and there, but we're doing great." Mrs.Cake said with gratefulness in her voice. She has been talking like that ever since Spike saved her. Mr.Cake came out of the back with a familiar cupcake with him. "Here's your usual, Spike. A Sapphire cupcake with extra Sapphire's just the way you like it and you and your new friends milkshakes are coming soon, on the house." Mr.Cake said as he put Spike's claws. "Thank you really, but you guys don't really don't have to keep saying thank you like this. I love the gestures, I really do, but I didn't protect you just so I could reap the rewards." Spike generously said to the pair but that didn't faze them. "Oh no, sir. We know you didn't do it for selfish reason." Mr.Cake warmly but firmly stated which made Spike flinched but before he could say anything. "You protected our family and you did that just by being yourself." Mrs.Cake continued as she and Mr.Cake came out from behind the counter. "We'll stop being thankful for what you did." Mr.Cake said thankfully. "And we won't be stopping anytime soon, so you better get used to it...Mr.Superhero." Mrs.Cake concluded her and her husband's warm thank you, to say simply that the dragon was moved would be an understatement. "...Superhero." Spike thought as he started to tear up. "Oh man...you guys are making me tear up." Spike uttered emotionally while Mr and Mrs.Cake bought them him in for a hug, good thing it was a slow day at the bakery so not many ponies were staring at them- save for Button Mash and Rumble -to which Spike noticed out of the corner of his eye...but he didn't want to let go.
