Wintertime came around as the ground was freezing, the snow was coming down, and the wind was pushing too hard. But they knew that winter had to come soon. The fairies tried to keep flying through all that snow but it was no use the girls landed but their father lost control of Buzzbee and fell in the freezing cold water and froze in an ice cube. The girls gasped seeing their dad like this as the kid beetles got it out.
"Father!" The girls said worried.
"It's okay ladies. We'll thaw him out of the ice." Li'l Bee said.
"Okay and..." Stary Wing said as she looked where the puddle by the little tree truck cavern was and spotted her!! They wasted not a second longer and flew to her. Thumbelina was happy to see them.
"Girls!! Oh am I glad to see you!" Thumbelina said.
"Us too Thumbelina!" Speed Flight said.
"But where's Cornelius? Isn't he with you?" Thumbelina said.
They pointed to where he was frozen and the kid beetles are trying to thaw him out.
"Oh no. Girls. Before we help them my friend is injured. Can one of you help him?" Thumbelina said.
The girls looked at the bird with a thorn in his wing. This was another of Thumbelina's friends and goes by the name of Jacquimo.
"Don't worry. We'll heal him. Come girls." Stary Wing said.
The girls all formed a circle and held hands and closed their eyes. They concentrated real hard and their magic started swirling around Jacquimo and the magic went inside of his body instantly getting rid of the thorn and he sat up.
"My wing! It's healed! Oh im so happy!! Thank you girls!" Jacquimo said.
"Your welcome. Now let's get our dad out of the ice." Bloomin Red said.
They all joined the little kid beetles and got started on trying to thaw Cornelius out of the ice. It took a long hour or two but they finally got him out and he fell in the snow.
"We did it! He's out of the ice!!" Gnatty said.
"Girls! Guys! You did it! And you found Thumbelina!! Oh were so glad to finally found you!" Prince Cornelius said.
"Me too Cornelius! Now we gotta get out of the snow." Thumbelina said.
But their celebration was cut short as a green toad in a clown suit jumped and landed in front of everyone. And boy he was mad.
"I marry her!!" The toad said.
"No! She's not marrying you! So keep your slimy hands off of her!!" Speed Flight said.
"Fairy prince and princesses?! No!!" The toad said.
"So we meet at last Mr. Toad!!" Cornelius said taking his sword out.
The toad growled and charged at everyone. But the fairies dodged him and they all flew off with Thumbelina and Cornelius riding on Buzzbee getting out of here. All of the others hopped on the bee and rode off. The toad got up and chased after them. Stary Wing noticed his presence.
"He's gaining on us! How can we lose him?!" Stary Wing said.
"I know! We need to freeze him! Try luring him to that lake!" Jacquimo said pointing to the lake.
"Speed Flight. Think you can take care of that?" Cornelius said.
"I sure can father." Speed Flight said as she flew in front of the toad.
"Hey you big ugly wart! Try and catch me!" Speed Flight said.
The toad took the bait as he started chasing Speed Flight. She flew directly to the lake and stand in front of it waiting for the toad. Then on cue he came out and tried to grab her. But she flew up and he landed in the cold water frozen solid.
"Ha! Smell you later toad!" Speed Flight said as she caught up with the others.
"Good job Speed Flight! That toad didn't see what was coming to him!" Prince Cornelius said.
"Thanks dad. Now let's get Thumbelina home." Speed Flight said.
After a few hours they took her back to her home, where Hero spot them on the window and alert Thumbelina's mother. She was so happy to see her again and thanked all her friends for helping.
"Hey Thumbelina?" Prince Cornelius said.
"Yes?" Thumbelina said.
"Listen. Remember when I sang that song the first day we met? Well I actually grew feelings for you. And I wanted to find my daughters a mother. So Thumbelina? Will you marry me?" Prince Cornelius said.
"Oh Cornelius yes I will!!" Thumbelina said as she ran to him and kissed him! The girls smiled knowing that they will finally have a mother. All that's left is the wedding.
