Chapter 27: Therapy Session

June 20, 1005 BBB (Before the Battle of the Bell)

After witnessing the banishment of Nightmare Moon, I retreated back to my computer body to try to calm down. When Maple came to comfort me, I realized that I had a panic attack. Luckily, Maple was here to help me.

Maple Pov:

After trying an entire book full of therapy techniques, I was officially stumped.

"Do you know a way I can help you?" asked Maple, "Because I'm all out of ideas."

"There is one way."

"Yes?"

He then pulled out what looked to be a metal helmet full of wires, lights, and gauges. The helmet was connected with several wires to the computer which housed his memories.

"What is that?"

"Its a device I invented a long time ago to project someone's memories onto a screen so a therapist could help their patient. I modified it to allow you to look inside my mind."

"Really?"

"Yes, I know you want to help me, so I'm giving you the best tool to do so."

"Ok", I responded, "lets do it."

He then put the helmet onto me, which was very tight, and had me lay down on the ground. After tweaking the helmet for a minute or two, he was finally ready. He went back to his computer body and spoke up.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes."

"Ok, initiating mind melding in 3...2...1."

After he said one, I could feel my mind leaving my body and traveling through an environment I could only describe as alien. I passed by what looked like heavy machinery, rooms filled with filing cabinets, and areas where I couldn't even guess what the objects filling them were. Eventually, I landed in an area surrounded by big computers like his body, only there were a lot more than what was in his room. Suddenly, I heard Lugh speaking from behind me.

"Good, the mind melding procedure was a success."

I turned around to look at him, but what I saw confused me. Standing there was what appeared to be a bipedal creature, with tan colored kin and no fur. It had dark brown hair and glasses similar to his, but the muzzle was very small. It also appeared to be old, maybe early 70's at least.

"Who are you?"

"It's me, Lugh. At least, its what I used to look like."

"This is what humans looked like?"

"Yes, not much diversity I'm afraid, except for different skin colors. Anyway, I'm glad your here. In order to help, you need to go deep into my memories to see what I have seen."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, however, I'm worried that you won't like what you find."

"Don't worry, I can handle it."

"Ok, if you say so. Just make a right turn past the mechanics department, go 3 blocks then turn left past the forbidden closet, make another right after you see the spice garden, then it'll be a straight shot to the epicenter where the memories are stored."

"Ok, thanks." I responded. But before I went off to follow his directions, I turned back to him. "What's in the forbidden closet?"

"You don't want to know."

After that, I set off, venturing further into Lugh's mind. I was astonished at how diverse his thinking processes were. Just the shear thought of having this complex of a mind shook me to my core. In one area, there were copies of him loading boxes labeled "Ideas" onto a moving platform. In another, the boxes were being distributed to their respective places. There were even areas dedicated to housing his vast stores of knowledge in what looked like a complex system of library shelves.

However, things only got weirder the further in I got.
