//------------------------------// // Princess Treatment // Story: Princess Treatment // by Newtimestonight //------------------------------// Adagio Dazzle and Sunset Shimmer had been dating for a little over two years. Adagio had befriended the Rainbooms and made peace with the majority of CHS before her and her newfound friends graduation. It took a while for the Rainbooms to adjust to Adagio and her two fellow siren friends being welcomed into the group by Sunset, but, once Sunset had devoted a few months to helping the former sirens reform themselves, the rest of the group soon took them under their wing. Adagio had been out at a Halloween house party for a few hours now while Sunset stayed at home. Despite Adagio’s attempts to bribe her out of the house, Sunset just couldn’t be bothered to go out and deal with people today. She knows that Adagio has always been the type to jump at the opportunity to go for a night out, whether it be alone or with friends, So Sunset knew it would be of no use to try and convince Adagio to stay home with her. But, even though she does miss her girlfriend, she has always enjoyed her peace and quiet. Sunset was sitting on the couch with the TV on, her gaming controller sitting next to her on the side table. The dim light from the moon and the warm glow from the lamp sitting next to her where the only things illuminating the darkness of the living room. She sat up, pushing her thin, fluffy blanket off of her and standing up. She stretched for a moment before yawning and walking into the kitchen. Sunset flicked the light on and placed her phone on the counter and took a step towards the fridge, opening it and taking out a Coke can. She inspected the can for a moment, turning it around before closing the fridge and opening the can. She leaned against the wall before taking a sip followed by and deep breath that she let out in a sigh. “She’s been out for ages now…” Sunset said quietly to herself, looking to the ground. It was true, Adagio had been out for some hours now and, despite this not being a rare occurrence, it still worried Sunset a bit. She hadn’t been out this long before, what if something happened? I mean…she didn’t go out with anyone she knows…what if she’s in danger? It could be— Knock. Knock. Knock. They sound of knocking at the front door cut Sunset’s train of thought short and caused her to jump. Her eyes lit up slightly, hopeful that it was her girlfriend at the door. She quickly placed her Coke can on the side and walked to the door. She fiddled with the handle for a moment before opening it, revealing Adagio standing on the other side. She was dressed in a dark purple dress and matching high heels, she had on a witches hat with a yellow stripe across it and purple fingerless gloves. As Sunset looked to her girlfriend a bit closer, she noticed something. Adagio was leaning against the wall and her hair was a slight mess. She had on an uncharacteristically teasing smile and was seemingly giggling quietly to herself at nothing. Sunset chuckled softly. Her girlfriend was drunk…extremely drunk. “Have fun?~” Sunset asked Adagio in a teasing tone with a quiet chuckle. Adagio closed her eyes slightly and smiled as she nodded slowly. She stopped leaning against the door frame and…attempted to take a step forward, resulting in her almost tripping over the threshold of the door and falling right into Sunset’s arms. “Oh! Careful Dagi…” Sunset said, helping Adagio to stand up. She wrapped her arm around Adagio and put her girlfriends arm around her shoulder as she helped her inside, closing the door behind her. “I don’t need helppp!” Adagio protested in a tone that sounded awfully whiny. Sunset smiled slightly and shook her head slowly. “Adagio, trust me, you need help,” She said, beginning to help Adagio to the couch. “You’re drunk.” “I am not…*hiccup* drunk!” She said, almost falling down onto the couch. She leaned against the back of the couch and looked up to Sunset. “You’re drunk!” Sunset chuckled quietly at this, turning around and grabbing a cup of water before setting it down on the table in front of Adagio. “Here, drink this,” Sunset said, handing the cup to Adagio. “And then we are going to get you to bed, okay?” “But…*hiccup* I don’t wanna go to beddd!” Adagio whined, leaning her head back against the back of the couch. “It’s okay, just drink this and we’ll sort it out after, alright?” Sunset said, picking up Adagio’s hand gently and gesturing for her to hold the cup. “Fine.” Adagio said, taking ahold of the cup. She brought the cup to her mouth and took a sip, before closing her eyes tightly and making a disgusted face. “What is this?!” She said in an overly dramatic tone. “It’s water darling.” Sunset said, pushing the cup up slightly towards Adagio’s mouth again. “Drink it, it’ll make you feel somewhat better.” Adagio whined, rolling her eyes. “But I already feel betterrrr!” She protested. Sunset didn’t say anything, she just looked intensely at Adagio and raised her eye brows slightly. “Fine.” Adagio said, beginning to drink the water. Once she finished, she leaned forwards slightly to place the cup on the table. Sunset’s eyes widened slightly as Adagio placed the cup down on the very edge of the table, making it nearly fall to the ground. Luckily, Sunset caught it before it could fall. “Okay,” She breathed, standing up and looking down to Adagio after placing the cup on the table properly. “Come on, let’s get you to bed.” Sunset said, reaching a hand out for Adagio to hold onto. “But I’m not even tireddd!” Adagio whined again. “Fine, you don’t have to sleep, you just need to lay down.” Sunset said, taking ahold of Adagio’s hand and pulling her up again. She wrapped her arm around Adagio and helped her to find her footing. “Okay…” Adagio said. She wobbled a bit as Sunset helped her stand up but she soon found enough footing to keep herself up, Sunset slowly let go of Adagio. “You got it?” Sunset asked, still holding her arms hesitantly around Adagio but not quite touching her. “Of course I do.” Adagio stated all too confidently. She turned to her side and took a step forward, tripping over what looked like nothing and, again, falling into her girlfriend’s arms. “Oh! Okay, I’ll help you.” Sunset said, catching Adagio before she could fall again. The two of them slowly walked out of the living room, Adagio stopping every few seconds to figure out how to put one foot in front of the other. Once the two girls finally made it into the bedroom, Sunset slowly helped Adagio to sit on the edge of the bed. Adagio placed her hands on Sunset’s shoulders as she kneeled down, taking off Adagio’s high heels. Once her shoes were off, Sunset stood up again, looking to Adagio who was looking at Sunset with a small grin as if she was trying to hold back a laugh. Sunset giggled softly at her girlfriends expression and took off Adagio’s hat, placing both it and her shoes to the side. Sunsets walked to her set of draws and opened one of them, pulling out a matching set of pyjamas and turning back around to Adagio, who was watching Sunset with the same childish smile on her face as before. She took a step towards Adagio, handing her the clothes. “You gonna be okay getting changed?” “Of course, I’m not a child.” Adagio said in a teasing tone. Sunset chuckled softly and nodded. “Alright, call me if you need anything. I’ll just be outside, okay?” Adagio nodded with a teasing grin as Sunset left the room, leaving the door open to allow some light to seep in from the illuminated doorway. Despite being extremely drunk, Adagio got changed fairly quickly as Sunset went back to the kitchen to get Adagio some more water. When she came back, she found Adagio laying on the bed, looking around the room. Adagio’s eyes stopped wandering when she saw Sunset walking in with a glass of water and a big bowl. “What’s that for?” Adagio asked. “We’ll, you’ll need some more water…and you’ll know what the bowl is for in the morning.” “Okayyy…” Adagio said, slowly turning her head away from Sunset. “Think you can get some sleep?” Sunset asked, making Adagio turn her gaze back to her. “No…I’m scared.” Adagio said, her smile disappearing. Sunset raised an eye brow and a confused look took over her expression. “You’re scared?” Adagio nodded with a quiet ‘mhm’ before speaking again. “What if I get sick?” Sunset smiled slightly, holding back a small laugh. “Then I’ll take care of you.” Adagio thought for a moment before nodding and smiling again. “Thank you Sunnyyy.” Adagio said, turning to look back to Sunset. “Can I ask one more thing?” Adagio asked, holding up a finger. “Go ahead.” “Can you come to bed too? I don’t want to be…*hiccup* alone…” Adagio asked, a pleading look in her eyes. Sunset smiled and nodded. “Of course.” Adagio’s face lit up at Sunset’s words and her grin grew wider. “Yay!” Adagio uncharacteristically beamed as Sunset slowly climbed into the bed. She laid down beside Adagio and her girlfriend instantly turned to face Sunset, nuzzling against her and resting her head on Sunset’s chest. She sighed contently as she felt Sunset stroke her hair slowly. “Goodnight Dagi.” “Goodnight Sunnyymmhh…” Adagio’s words were cut off as sleep quickly claimed her. Sunset smiled and giggled softly to herself. “So much for ‘I’m not tired.’”
