It was a beautiful afternoon in Maretime Bay. The sun was shining brightly upon the bright blue sky. Many ponies were going upon their daily lives there. You yourself on the other hand, was relaxing on a nearby bench. Watching the waves of the ocean below and listening to them felt relieving.
You remember the day you first came to Equestria. When you woke up to see many ponies of creed and color looking down at you with either looks of fear, awe, or even concern. And even Sunny herself was there that day as well, she looked eager to see you. As if she knew what you were.
She had claimed that she knew about humanity because of something centuries ago about a mare named Twilight Sparkle who went through a magic mirror to retrieve a stolen crown. There, she had traveled to another world filled with humans. But not your world, however, but a different kind of human world.
That left you kind of confused. But that wasn't the point. Because now, you have no choice but to live among these ponies until you can eventually return to Earth. And in that meantime, you and Sunny both got closer to the point you and her were now a couple. Her friends were quite shocked for lack of a better term. But they did support you and her in the end.
And speaking of which, you were pulled out of your thoughts when a shadow loomed over you. You looked up to see Sunny looking down at you. Her smile made her look so adorable to you.
"Hi Anon!" She greeted you. "What are you doing, sitting here alone?"
"Ehh... Just listening to the waves." You reply Shouldn't you be running the smoothie stand?"
"Oh, well I thought I'd take the day off today and spend it with you." She replied. "I mean, who's gonna fire me? Myself?"
You and Sunny both laughed at that.
"Alright, sounds good to me. I don't mind the company." You replied.
Sunny smiled happily as she sat right next to you on the bench. The two of you both listening to the waves below. Not saying anything to one another. Tranced by the satisfying sounds from below.
You eventually broke out of it and looked over to Sunny. She hadn't noticed that you were looking at her. You reached your hand towards the back of her neck and started rubbing it.
Sunny jumped from feeling your touch. Making her sit up straight quickly, taken aback by your hand massaging her neck.
"Anon!?" Sunny gasped before giggling. "Wh-what are you doing?"
"Umm...." You stuttered, "P-Petting you?"
You were half expecting Sunny to think you were weird or even worse as you mentally prepared yourself for a possible lecture from her. But to your surprise, she was giggling. You raised an eyebrow.
"What’s so funny?" You ask.
"Oh well, I never thought how'd it feel to be pet for once." Sunny replied, not losing her cute smile. "It actually feels quite nice to be on the receiving end."
You felt relieved that Sunny wasn't weirded out by being pet by you. Until something was off when you heard her mention being on the "receiving end."
"Hang on...." You spoke up. "What do you mean by that?"
"Some ponies here usually pet small critters every now and then!" Sunny said.
"Right..." You reply, feeling awkward. You cursed yourself internally for not remembering that you are in a world dominated by ponies and not humans.
"Have you ever been petted before?" Sunny asks.
"Oh well umm... no..." You stammer. "I mean... it'd be considered weird, Y'know? A human petting another human... It just feels wrong..."
"But I'm not a human, aren't I?" Sunny giggles.
"I...I guess that's fair..." You reply while rubbing the back of your head.
"Well, how about I pet you and see how you'd feel about it." Sunny offered. As much as you wanted to say no, her adorable expression made you say otherwise.
"Okay, if you insist, Sunny." You accepted.
"Aww... thanks, Anon!" She replied. "Though, could you slump down a bit for me? You're.. a bit tall..."
You oblige your marefriend as you slowly slumped down until you were down to her level. Sunny wasted no time as she raised her hoof up to your hair. You feel goosebumps spread across your body as Sunny moved her hoof across your hair. Gliding it to the top of your head and all the way back down to your neck. To say you felt odd yet relaxed would be an understatement.
"Well... how does it feel?" She asks. You slowly raise your hand and give a thumbs up to her, confirming that you were enjoying it.
You couldn't help but feel so vulnerable like this while Sunny continued caressing your head. You now envied all the pets in Equestria and back on Earth now understanding how this felt from their perspective.
"It feels.... very nice..." You reply, still in a trance. Sunny just giggled in response.
After ruffling your hair for a bit, she then moved her hoof into the back of your shirt and down to your back and gently caressed there. Tracing circles across the bare skin of yours. The goosebumps on your skin adding an ectra bonus to this experience.
You now felt like you were at peace with this. Making you close your eyes for a bit, just wanting to enjoy your marefriend's pampering of you. Your jealousy for all the pets in the world had increased. You could only hope that this wouldn't be a one time thing with you and Sunny. To exchange being petted by one another felt too sweet.
So sweet in fact, you started to feel your eyelids get heavy, despite them being closed. Before you knew it, your vision was starting to blur. And soon enough, your conscious had faded away.
Sunny noticed you weren't moving for a while and looked down at you. Only to see, you were out cold. She just smiled as she wrapped her arm around you while doing her best not to wake you up. She loved seeing you let your guard down for her at times like this.
"Awww~ You are just so adorable when you're vulnerable with me like this..." She whispered before placing a small kiss on your forehead. "Enjoy your nap, Anon.."
