June 18, 1012 BBB (Before the Battle of the Bell)

Today was far from normal. For the last 10 years, strange things have been happening all over the continent. However, I knew that there was a source behind all of this strangeness, and I was determined to find out what. So, I began to check all of my sensors, and after observing everything for 4 weeks, I finally had an explanation.




Something was definitely off. For the past 10 years, strange things have been going on in equestria just past the kingdom border. First, it was the vegetation changing. Next, the pony's moods began to turn sour, the stars started appearing during the day, and the sun and moon were switching places in the sky every 20 minutes. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. So I began to do what I do best, look for an answer, and after 4 weeks of gathering data, I finally figured it out. 




"So, what's happening Lugh?", asked Maple.

"I've been looking into that for the past few weeks, and I figured it out. It's him."

Her eyes suddenly switched to a shocked expression, "are you sure?"

"Who else could it be, Discord is chaos incarnate, he was formed out of all the chaos in the universe, It makes sense that he would be the one behind all of this."

"Well, what do we do?"

"If I remember my vision correctly, Celestia and Luna will defeat him with the Elements of Harmony."

"The Elements of Harmony? What are those?"

"Well, remember all those years ago when Gusty first visited the village?"

"Yes."

"The crystal I gave her as a gift when she left was no ordinary crystal. It was a crystal I infused with a portion of my magic and all of my knowledge. Before she passed away, she infused her own magic and consciousness into the crystal and left it to Celestia and Luna. Starswirl and the pillars infused it with a portion of their magic as well and planted it before they disappeared 80 years ago. That crystal grew over the years into a powerful crystal tree, a tree that created 6 gems that will come to be known as the Elements of Harmony."

"It is those elements that Celestia and Luna will use to turn Discord to stone until someone of pure heart forces him to shed his villainous nature."

Maple took a moment to process all of what I just told her, then responded.

"So in a way, Gusty lives on in that crystal tree."

"Indeed, Is is a tree that will survive through the centuries just as I have. In a way, that tree is like a semi-organic computer, able to reach out to those in need and help those in trouble. It will take some time for Gusty to come to learn how to control her new form, but I believe that in a few centuries, we will be able to talk again."

Just then, I felt a huge burst of magic coming from equestria. I knew that the princesses had just used the elements, because I could feel my own magic in that blast.

"Discord is imprisoned. Now we just wait. Even though he is the physical manifestation of chaos, I believe that whatever pure hearted being that will befriend him will keep him in line."




So, with the imprisonment of Discord, Things started to really pick up in equestria. Celestia and Luna then went on to face problems such as Tirek, who attempted to steal all magic for himself, and Sombra of the Crystal Empire, which had existed for 1000 years so far. However, equestria's biggest moment of triumph was also its biggest downfall. For Celestia would have to face her toughest enemy yet,

Her own sister.
