Adagio Dazzle had a plan. She wanted to throw a party before the Battle of the Bands, a perfect opportunity to gather more negative energy. But this time, she had a different motive as well—she wanted to get to know Komasan better.
“Girls, we’re throwing a party. And I want Komasan to be there,” Adagio announced to Aria and Sonata.
Aria raised an eyebrow. “A party? With Komasan? Are you going soft on us, Adagio?”
Adagio smirked. “Let’s just say I’m curious. Besides, it’s a great way to gather more energy.”
Komasan received the invitation and felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. He decided to bring along Jibanyan, who had also acquired a human form, as his siblings were out of town.
“Jibanyan, ya ready for the party?” Komasan asked, adjusting his blazer.
Jibanyan grinned, “You bet, nyan! This is gonna be pawsome!”
The party was in full swing when Komasan and Jibanyan arrived. Adagio spotted them and made her way over.
“Komasan, you made it! And you brought a friend,” she said, eyeing Jibanyan.
“This is Jibanyan. He’s also a Yo-kai,” Komasan introduced.
Adagio’s eyes widened but she quickly masked her surprise. “Well, the more the merrier. Would you like to sing a song with me?”
Komasan looked at Jibanyan, who gave him a thumbs-up. “Sure, let’s do it.”

Hee-yah! Komasan play hit Adagio (Oh no!) Adagio playfully looked like to stumble on her feet before propping herself back up
Hee-yah! (Oh! Hahaha) Komasan play hit Adagio again just laughing at his attempts
Woah, woah break it up you two! JIbanyan interrupted being a bit peeved
As the song ended, the room erupted in applause. Adagio looked at Komasan, her eyes softer than they had ever been. Komasan felt it too—a connection, a spark, something that told him that maybe, just maybe, Adagio could change.
And for the first time, Adagio felt a glimmer of hope that maybe she could find something she had never thought she needed: a true friend...Or perhaps a lover?
