Pain struck. The red she-demon smacked into the rubble. She rebounded, claws sharp, eyes intent.

The nemesis cackled.

“Pity you believe in her,” Midnight Sparkle teased.

“I may be darkness, but she redeemed me!” she growled.

She let loose crimson-colored fire. However, Midnight twirled away. Each shoot in the barrage wasted.

“Can’t save her if you can’t aim!”

Angered threatened to destroy her. She couldn’t give in. Breathe calmly. No matter what.

I am counting on you.

A voice echoed.

She could not fail Shimmer!

A storm of violet blasts followed. With each tenacious dodge, she subtly lessened the distance.

“You will learn!”

Fear pulsated as the power surge ended. Before she could refresh, the demon swiftly charged. 

Midnight missed the move in the lull of the moment. The demon’s hands grasped a choking throat.

“Please, no!”.

Rainbow rays gleamed from demonic eyes.

“For friendship!”

White light exploded.
