Sunny and Izzy have been dating for two months now. All their friends knew and where happy for them and they alternate between sleeping in the Lighthouse and 'Vila la Izzy. Izzy' both of them were the happiest they've ever been, but Izzy still felt something holding her back. Everytime she wanted to make a move on Sunny she quits half way thru like when she secretly tries holding Sunny hoof, or when she tries secretly kissing Sunny she just stops she doesn't even know why.
For the past two months she also found herself making up, creative ways to ask Sunny, if she loves her.
'I guess im just scared of her leaving me and me being isolated again, so im trying to play safe.' Izzy thout. Not even she knows why she was doing it. She decided she needed to face her fears head on and ask Sunny out on their first offical date!
She searched for the perfect place to take Sunny out to and she realised, that speacial flower patch witch the locals named "Bridlewoodstock" was gonna glow next week. 'Awsome I will take Sunny out for a date there and Im gonna show Sunny-bun that im an awsome marefriend!' Izzy thout to herself.
Meanwile, Sunny was laying on the couch in the Lighthouse, thinking about how perfect the past two months were and what the future holds. She loved being with Izzy and in two weeks they're fully gonna move to Maretime Bay, witch means Izzy can move in officaly, she couldn't wait this is a big fairytale in real life. She just wished her father would have been there to see all this, Sunny always thout that her dad would've have loved Izzy. She hasn't noticed, nor thout that Izzy was distant.
In fact she thout Izzy was really innvoled, she always innatiated the cuddles, a lot of the conversations and a lot more. She just loved being with Izzy.
"Okay next months when the flowers are gonna be blooming. That's when im gonna take her on a date! I will ask her out next week that's the plan!" Izzy said quietly as she was about to go down stairs to hang out with Sunny.
"Heya Sunny-bun, whatcha' ya up to?" Asked the unicorn. "Whatching my phone, you?" Izzy set down next to Sunny. "Oh n-nothing just the usual you know stuff!" Izzy was blushing her face was redder than a tomato, she was a ridiculously bad actor. "I know that blush and that little smile from everywhere, looks like my cinnamon-bun is planning something huh?" Sunny sat up hugging her marefriend.
"I have no idea what you're talking about!" Izzy looked away her face still beat red.
"Really you don't, huh I thout at this point I would know if you're hiding something but guess I don't." Sunny said playfully. "Aw you know you do- I mean uh I... totally am not hiding anything such a ridiculous idea!" Izzy said trying to salvage the suprise part of the date as long, as she posibly can. Again Izzy was never known for her great acting skills. "Really Izzy well looks my "great theory" is the truth though!"
"Uh... fine caught me red hoofed, but it's suprise so I can't tell you either way!"
"I knew it! Cinnamon-bun you need to work on your acting skills, if you're trying to keep something secret!"
"You're not the first pony trying to tell me! Hehehe..." Izzy laughed as her face slowly started to return to it's original sade of levander.
"But let's change the topic! Are you free next month specificly on the night of 21-rst?" Izzy asked as her eyes sparkled.
"Why, are you trying to ask me out on a date?" Sunny asked playfully. "Uuh... no?" Izzy looked away blushing again.
"Daw, Cinnamon-bun yes Im free, I can't wait to figure out what this "not a date" is!" Sunny giggled and hugged Izzy. "But I need to get going to the smoothie cart." Sunny kissed Izzy on the forehead. "Bye cinnamon-bun!" "Bye Sunny-bun!"
"I love her so much!" Izzy said as she went back upstairs. "Okay May 21rst is when the flowers are gonna, bloom at night and Sunny's free thous the stars are alined! Everything is gonna be perfect!" Izzy blushed, while she was thinking about how amazed Sunny will be at the amazing site.
Her big smile suddenly calmed a bit to a small smirk thinking about how much better everything was with Sunny. Sunny just made her like the happiest mare in Equestria, and no matter what this date had to be the best thing it possibly can be so Sunny sees how much Izzy loves and cares about her.
To us this doesn't come as shock right? That Sunny already knows that Izzy loves and cares about her.
"Anyways when's Sunny getting home?" And as if on que, she heard knocking on the door. "Huh... isn't it early yet?" Izzy asked as she looked at her clock, it was Sunny's lunch time already. Izzy hurried down stairs, and openend the door to be greeted by her marefriend.
"Sunny-bun! Missed you so much!" Izzy said as she hugged Sunny tight.
"Me too Izz! I brought us some lunch today!" Sunny said exited.
"Aw thanks Sunny!" Izzy said as she let her marefriend in, using her magic to make the table while Sunny set down.
"Okay, I got us some pizza what do you think?" Asked Sunny
"I love pizza! Hey, do you remember when you didn't know unicorns like pizza?" Izzy asked with a grin a apearing across her face.
"Yeah, it's crazy to think that, that was only a few months ago." Sunny replied.
"I know right? Funny how fast time passes." Izzy added.
"Yeah..." Sunny said as she brushed up to Izzy, making both of them blush.
"Now, If you don't mind me asking what's this "totally not a date" you want to ask me out on?" Sunny asked with a curios smile
"That would ruin the suprise part of it!" Izzy looked at her marefriend with frustration.
"Yeah I know, but you know me! Once I know somepony is keeping a secret from me I wanna figure it out! Pleeease Cinnamon-bun?" Sunny begged while making puppy dog eyes. Let's just say She learned that from a certain levander unicorn.
"Uuugh fine!" Izzy said as she plased her newly picked up slice of pizza back on her plate.
she stud up took Sunny's hoof and started speaking.
"I know this is the most romantic way I can ask this but, Sunny Starscout would you like to go on a date with me?"
Sunny's eyes lit up, and she felt her body moving on it's own, she finally kissed Izzy on the lips. All you could hear was a little mufeld sqeak of shock from Izzy but she quickly kissed back.
"Oh wow... I did not expect that!" Izzy finally spoke after the kiss.
"Oh my gosh im not moving to fast am I? Sorry I-you um... when you asked me on date... I don't what came over me!" Sunny stamered out.
"Oh no no no! I enjoyed it.... a lot acually..." Izzy blushed. "Oh, thank hoofness please tell me if im moving fast!" Sunny asked her face flushed.
"Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Izzy said putting her hoof to her eye.
"Aww... you know the Pinkie promise... waaait a second where did you learn it from?"
"Well, a few days ago I was organizing the closet, so a new project could fit right in!" Izzy winked. And a book fell on me... and I read it, was fun!"
Sunny just gave Izzy a frustated look. But she couldn't stay mad looking at Izzy's adoroble puppy eyes.
"Okay and promise me one more thing, if a book falls on you, and it's my book and you know it's mine you're not gonna read it without my permission!" Sunny said as she sat up.
"Promise, but it was a fun read! And date is on the 21-rst at night so you know, but I'll take you there!" Izzy said as she helped Sunny stand up.
"Okay I'm looking forward to it!" Sunny kissed Izzy on the nose making it twitch.
"Now come on, my launch break is almost up, and I bet the pizza's already cold." Sunny said grabbing Izzy's hoof. "Hehe... I'm Coming, I'm coming!" Izzy replied
