"Excellent! The Eternal Water Source is once again part of the Core of Light! But the darkness will continue to spread until we have all the Eternal Sources." Hugo informed as Mikey sighed in relaxation.
"Sweet warmth of the sun." Mikey smiled as Sonata took a deep sharp breath in and deep sharp breath out.
"Yeah. And I’m excited to test out my Soul Gem ability, especially since I have an idea what it is." Sonata agreed.
"Has anyone had any luck finding the next clue?" Pinkie asked before the sound of a gate opening was heard.
"Now THAT was unexpected! Hmm. I need to do a little research to find where you must go next, but in the meantime, why don't you investigate the beach down there. I've been hearing strange noises coming from there for a while." Hugo requested.
"Alright. Zap, you're with me." Pinkie said as she and the water dragon went to the beach before encountering a sapphire with butterfly wings. "Pretty." Pinkie awed as she grabbed the sapphire before the duo went past the gate and found a strange machine.
"Oil... Can." The machine uttered
"Oil can? Be right back!" Pinkie said as she dashed off and came back before she started oiling the machine. "There. That's the last rusted spot. Zap, give him a low shock to get him moving."
"Got it." Zap said as he gave the machine a little jolt before Persephone suddenly showed up.
"I smell you have a Winged Sapphire. It is a happy gem. Can dance with more powers for smaller number of gold. Lucky party! More Winged Sapphires in this happy place. Ten of their secret campings for you and your friends to find. Winged Sapphires like to say ‘Hello’ when they meet the fairies. The more that say this, the smaller gold number I need from Skylanders for happy dancing." Persephone informed.
"Translate." Pinkie requested.
"More Winged Sapphire means less we pay for upgrades." Zap explained.
"Wow!" Pinkie gasped in amazement as Persephone smiled before vanishing. The machine started moving more smoothly and effectively
"Goooooooood Morning Skylands! Whew. Thanks for the oil-up! I’ve been stuck in that position for ages!" The machine greeted.
"You feeling okay, Mr...?" Pinkie tried to say.
"Oh! I don’t really have a name. Ooooph. That feels good. Hey, I owe you, big time. I know! I can make you rich! See, I’m a Clam-Tron 4000. Just find me some clams and I’ll mash them all up into a big fat Pearl! How’s that?" Clam-Tron offered.
"Just a sec... Skeletal Grasp!" Pinkie shouted as her skeleton hands brought the clams to the Clam-Tron 4000. "Ta-da!"
"Let’s see… One, two, three, four five… Yep! That’s enough! *Eats clams* As promised, one new gleaming white Pearl coming right up! A little more pressure! Add some heat! Now just shift it around with a touch of elbow grease and… PRESTO!" Clam-Tron said as his hatch on his midsection opened, only for a black pearl to pop out. "What? A shiny new BLACK pearl? Oh no… what happened? What did you do to me? Unh… I’ve lost my gift."
A well-dressed bead showed up. "But, black pearls are far more valuable in today’s market. Here, let me take a look. *Investigates “pearl”* Ah, it’s… uh… not a pearl… I, uh… Big… fuse… go boom!"
"I don’t understand, what are you talking about?" Clam-Tron asked.
"YOU MADE A BOMB!" The bear panicked as that definitely surprised Pinkie and Zap.
"Nobody light a match." Pinkie advised as Hugo showed up with Trigger Happy.
"Good news! I found another piece to the great machine! The Cyclopses have stolen the Crystal Eye. Figures! They always wanted it for their own. Even named their castle after it." Hugo informed.
"Yeah, not really creative. Oh, hi Auric." Trigger Happy greeted the bear.
"So, let's go get it. Full speed ahead!" Pinkie declared.
"But the bad news that they’ve sealed off the bridge entrance that used to unite the temple to their kingdom." Hugo pointed out.
"Ah phooey!" Pinkie groaned.
"Looks like we’re gonna have to find another… Wait… Is that a bomb? Where in Skylands did we get a bomb?" Hugo noticed.
"I made it myself!" Clam-Tron informed.
"Really? Well that might be just what we need. A bomb could possibly open up the entrance to the tunnel. Or blow us all up in the process, but hopefully the former." Hugo said.
"All right then. Just come back any time you need another one. Apparently I can make these things all day long." Clam-Tron noted.
"Anyone got a match?" Pinkie asked as she picked up the bomb before the fuse was suddenly lit. "Eep!"
"HAHAHAHA! Try a wall of stone." Trigger Happy laughed as Pinkie threw the bomb.
"FIRE IN THE HOLE!" Pinkie shouted as the bomb exploded, destroying a stone wall while the explosion.
"What was that?!" Sonata noticed.
"Zappy!" Whirlwind gasped before everyone raced down, expecting a battle.
"Where's the fight?!" Mikey asked.
"Sorry, no brawl here." Pinkie apologized as the smoke from the explosion cleared up.
"Okay, but who's the mole guy?" Sonata pointed out.
"WOW! Thank you for breaking down the barrier!" A voice said in gratitude.
"Is he a bald Mabu?" Pinkie guessed.
"No, he's a Molekin." Zap answered.
"Oh dear." The Molekin dreaded.
"Calm down, we're Skylanders." Whirlwind assured.
"Oh, thank goodness you aren't Cyclopeses." The Molekin sighed in relief.
"Dude, are you in need of food or medical attention?" Mikey asked.
"Hey, I can hear just fine. Wait, you aren't Cyclopses, are you? I sure hope not because I just escaped from their terrible Crystal Eye Castle!" The Molekin said.
"Doesn't look like he sees too well, does he?" Hugo noticed.
"Mr. Molekin..." Sonata started.
"Please, Mr. Molekin was my father. My name is Diggs." The Molekin introduced himself.
"Oh, okay." Sonata noted.
"Oh, I saw terrible things in that place. Or at least I think I did. They have a great crystal orb that focuses energy. I fear they'll use it for evil. That seems to be their thing, you know. Evil and not bathing. Phew." Diggs sighed in relief as the girls gagged at that "not bathing" part.
"Cyclops don't have a sense of smell, so this isn't going to be pleasant." Spyro explained.
"I'm out." Sonic Boom said.
"Have fun, boys." Whirlwind agreed.
"That's it! That's the Crystal Eye that we need to rebuild the Core! That's where you must go! Recover that orb and bring it back to the ruins! Of course, the downside is that you will inevitably have to battle the Cyclopses, so be careful." Hugo advised.
"Dro, we might need your sensor to find the eye." Mikey requested.
"Terrafin, feel up for a fight?" Pinkie asked.
"You bet." Terrafin smiled while cracking his knuckles.
"I go! I sense friend there!" Voodood volunteered.
"YEAH AND HOLD YOUR NOSE! Meanwhile, I can take you guys there, no worries. I may be a little nearsighted, but since there's only one bridge leading to their castle, it should be a... a..." Diggs tried to say.
"A SNAP?" Hugo assumed.
"Yeah, that's right." Diggs nodded.
"This might be difficult." Mikey noted.
"Are ya ready to go to the Crystal Eye Castle?" Diggs asked.
"Ready." Pinkie confirmed.
"RIGHT! Let's go!!" Diggs delcared as he started moving forward towards the group.
"Ahem... Other way." Hugo pointed out.
"Ah. Of course it is. I must say I am not looking forward to seeing those Cyclopses again, but at least I won't see them too clearly. Heh heh." Diggs chuckled as the group started moving forward on the bridge.
"Stay close." Mikey advised.
"Okay." Diggs responded.
An hour later, the group arrived at Crystal Eye Castle.
"Wow, grate workmanship." Mikey noticed.
"Before I escaped, I was at the top of the castle. It was there that I saw something that made my normally blurry vision suddenly super clear. It must've been the Crystal Eye!" Diggs informed.
"Sensor detect high energy source in same spot. Alert: High explosive readings detected." Drobot said.
"To get up there, you'll need to destroy the two Seeing Towers in order to open the big gate!" Diggs pointed out as a mechanical eye suddenly popped up.
"That's... Disturbing." Sonata shivered as Terrafin punched the eye, making it go down as the first gate lowered, opening for the group.
"8 seconds before the gate rises, closing itself again." Drobot said as everyone got through.
"Diggs, you better get out of here." Mikey advised.
"Oh yes! One more thing! And this one is VERY important! Once you get past the gate-*Hit by an explosive barrel* Gahahahahow!" Diggs yelped as he was sent flying with burning pants.
"Tried to warn him." Mikey sighed as there were two Timidclops on top of the first slope, throwing down explosive barrels.
"Let's go, everyone!" Sonata declared.
"It is on like Donkey Kong!" Pinkie whooped as the heroes charged ahead while dodging the barrels. "Burning Bone Ball!"
The attack knocked out the two timidclopses before the group dodged more barrels from two more timidclopses on the top of another slope.
"Let's try a combo, Zap! Tidal Slash!" Sonata shouted as she fired her water attack and Zap fired his electric attack at Sonata's water attack. The combo slashed through the barrels and shocked the two timidclopses.
"Here's a kick to the face!" Stealth Elf said as she suddenly appeared and kicked the two shocked timidclopses, knocking them out.
"Now the main door. Mikey, may I honor your door knocker?" Terrafin asked.
"She's all yours, pal." Mikey responded as he gave Terrafin his hammer, Lifestone, before Cruncher chompies broke out of barrels as there were three more timidclopses on top of the next slope with an eye gate behind them.
"None shall break my shield!" Chop Chop declared.
"If those crunchers are chompies, they should be easy to beat." Sonata noted as Flameslinger fired and defeated them.
"Terrafin, break the door down!" Mikey shouted as Terrafin got ready to swing hard.
"KNOCK, KNOCK!" Terrafin roared as he was about to attack one of the eyes when a Cyclops Chopper spun in, deflecting the blow. "I hate these things."
"Just wait." Pinkie said as the cyclops got dizzy and stopped.
"Stone Wave!" Mikey shouted as Terrafin dove underground for a double attack. The duel attack hit the cyclops hard as Terrafin punched the enemy out with an uppercut.
"Keep up the pressure, my friends!" Lightning Rod urged as he was throwing lightning bolts.
"Dro, you still picking up the reading?" Sonata asked as Lightning Rod's bolts hit two mechanical eyes, opening a gate for 4 seconds as the group made it past through, making it to the outer courtyard.
"Affirmative, and we have Cyclops Choppers and a Cyclops Chucker." Drobot informed as a big stone flew at the group.
"Leave friends alone!" Voodood shouted as he swung his axe, making it extend on a chain before it slashed the Cyclops Chucker.
"Warning: Detecting explosive signatures and growing." Drobot informed as the Cyclops Choppers were defeated.
"Well, let's go!" Mikey urged as Pinkie whacked a mechanical eye as the next gate opened for 8 seconds before the group got through. The group made some turtle bridges before reaching the gate to the Seeing Tower of the yellow eye, one of the eye switches being guarded by Crunchers and a Cyclops Chucker to the far right of them. "Divide and conquer!"
"Good! I'll go right!" Terrafin said.
"Switches this time will last six seconds before the gate closes again." Drobot informed.
"I'll get it." Flameslinger volunteered.
"Everyone else cover him!" Sonata ordered as everyone protected Flameslinger while he dashed for the switch.
"Guys, let's go get the Crystal Eye!" Pinkie whooped.
"Sensors detect energy gate preventing forward advancement. Energy originating from nearby towers." Drobot pointed out.
"Oh shoot! Forgot about that." Pinkie pouted as Terrafin punched through the enemies, before he soon obtained Prism Break's Soul Gem.
"I'll take Stealth Elf, Zap, Terrafin and take the left tower. Pinkie, take Chop Chop and Flameslinger take the right. Sonata, once the gate is down, take your team and get the Crystal Eye." Mikey said.
"Got it." Sonata nodded as Mikey and his group stormed towards the Left Tower.
"Come on, boys!" Pinkie urged as the trio entered the tower before encountering a leashed Cyclops Mammoth.
"Fortunately, this one's chained, otherwise this would be more difficult." Chop Chop said before the chain suddenly broke. "Awe, nuts!"
"Skeletal Grasp!" Pinkie yelled as the skeletal hands emerged underneath the enemy, knocking it into the air.
"Give me a boost, Chop!" Flameslinger said as he gained a running start before Chop Chop let his friend onto his shield and launched his friend up. 'Volley Shot!' Flameslinger shouted as he shot an arrow upwards before he kicked the Cyclops Mammoth upward as well before it was hit and pinned down by the falling arrow.
"Yeah! So how do we deactivate the energy shield?" Pinkie asked before Crunchers suddenly appeared.
"Destroy the four eyes, and then the generator itself! Flameslinger and I will hold off the Crunchers!" Chop Chop informed.
"Thanks!" Pinkie smiled as she started doing some damage as the duo struggled to keep them at bay.
"Nice knowing you, Chop." Flameslinger agreed.
"Indeed." Chop Chop agreed as Pinkie destroyed the generator after having destroyed the four eyes.
"BOOM!" Pinkie roared before the top of the tower was destroyed as the right side of the main gate was shut down. "Need a hand, boys? Skeletal Grasp!"
Skeletal hands erupted form the ground, attacking the rest of the Crunchers.
"Thanks." The duo said in gratitude.
"Hope Mikey is doing good." Pinkie noted as the trio exited the tower before it literally fell apart.
"Come on, guys! Pour on the pressure." Mikey urged, seeing the destroyed tower as the four fought Cyclops Choppers and Chuckers while hitting the eye switches on the way before making it past gate.
"Zap, behind you!" Terrafin called out as Mikey used his Stone Wave attack to defend Zap.
"You okay?" Mikey asked.
"Yeah." Zap nodded.
"Guys, in here!" Stealth Elf pointed out as the group got into the tower, only to find two leashed Cyclops Mammoths and three Cyclops Chuckers on pillars guarding the generator and four eyes.
"Stealth, you deal with those eyes. Leave the beat down to the men!" Mikey said before he and the boys charged as Stealth Elf snuck by.
"Incoming slime!" Zap shouted as he slid past the enemies before stopping. "How's THIS for a shock?" Zap quipped as he shot his Lightning Breath at his slime, electrifying it as it shocked the enemies that were on or crossing the slime.
"FORE!" Mikey yelled as he swung his hammer, sending the surviving mammoth flying.
"All done!" Stealth Elf informed as Terrafin destroyed the pillars holding the Cyclops Chuckers before knocking them out.
"Nice!" Terrafin smiled while the top of the tower was destroyed as the left side of the gate was shut down. That was when the main gate opened.
"All on Sonata now." Mikey added as the tower started rumbling with stones falling onto the four.
"Let's go." Terrafin said as Mikey and his party got out just in time before the tower then literally fell apart.
"Okay, boys. Follow me to the Crystal Eye!" Sonata declared as the remaining four got past the gate, only to encounter four timidclopses and two Cyclops Chuckers. "This will be easy."
"Friendly energy detected." Drobot noticed.
"Ooga Booga!" A voice shouted before a mini tiki jumped at the group as they dodged it.)
"Is that a Witch Doctor?" Sonata noticed.
"No. It's mini double bomb." Voodood answered.
"I meant the big one." Sonata pointed out as said witch doctor went into the big tower.
"Double Trouble! My friend, I'm happy to see you're safe!" Lightning Rod said.
"Lightning Rod, remember." Sonata pointed out while dodging the mini double bomb.
"Kaos' control on our friend: Confirmed." Drobot informed.
"Sorry, my friend." Lightning Rod apologized.
"No biggie. WATCH OUT!" Sonata yelped as the mini double bomb came at the group again before she combined her swords. "Saber Boomerang!" Sonata shouted as she threw her combined swords at the mini double bomb before it got sliced and exploded as Sonata caught her attack and split it into two swords again. "And before you ask, that wasn’t my Soul Gem Ability."
"Friend not evil?" Voodood asked while attacking a cyclops as Sonata's sabers gave the group time to race up.
"Blink and Destroy!" Drobot roared, letting out his battle cry.
"Axe first, questions later!" Voodood shouted, giving out a battle cry too.
"One strike and you’re out!" Lightning Rod catchphrased as the trio took down the Timidclops.
"Hey, what were those lines anyway?" Sonata asked as Lightning Rod threw a lightning bolt at a Chucker.
"Those are our battle cries." Lightning Rod answered as Drobot fired his eye beams at the other Chucker.
"Or as you simply put it, a catchphrase." Drobot added.
"All we have is a line we share." Sonata said as she was slicing up enemies.
"Take heart, my friend. Let it come to you." Lightning Rod advised.
"Oh… Okay." Sonata noted as the group entered. Double Trouble stared angrily at his friends as there were Chompy Pods here as well.
"Forgive me, my friend." Lightning Rod apologized as the cloud titan threw lightning bolts, but Double Trouble dodged them.
"You two deal with the Chompy pods. Voodood and I will take care of DT." Sonata said while withdrawing her swords as she readied her fists, which has the gloves she is wearing, and the knuckle parts of her gloves gleamed with both gloves shine a bit as if it has a thin layer of soap on them. "What's going on?"
"Soul Gem." Voodood answered before Sonata suddenly felt energy flowing through her freely as she smiled.
"Aw yeah… I’m back! *Strikes a fancy, yet dramatic battle pose* Bring it, baddies! I’ll take you all on!" Sonata declared as Double Trouble fired his energy blast, but she stood strong. "Time for a clean technique, created by a friend of mine from one of my previous adventures!" Sonata said as she clapped her hands together before spreading them outward again, creating a stream of strange bubbles surrounding and connecting her hands. "Now, Hamon Bubble Launcher!" Sonata shouted as the energy blast hit the stream, but deflected upward. "Looks like you could use a good cleanup, Double Trouble!" Sonata quipped as she threw the bubbles, breaking the stream as they swirled around Double Trouble before they flocked together and attacked the witch doctor like he was punched, being launched into the air as the bubbles enveloped him. "Now, Hamon Bubble Barrier!" Sonata added as the bubbles finished enveloping Double Trouble, leaving him trapped in a giant bubble. "Wow, still awake, huh? Tough crowd. Voodood, when I pop the bubble, get ready to attack with all your strength."
"Ready!" Voodood said as Sonata launched a punch filled with strange energy and attacked the bubble barrier, popping it as the orc charged toward the falling Double Trouble. "Sorry." Voodood apologized as he swung and hit his friend into his own copy. "Friend hurt?" Voodood asked as the copy exploded, knocking Double Trouble out unconscious with spinning swirls on his eyes.
"He's going to be fine." Sonata answered.
"Chompies are exterminated!" Lightning Rod informed.
"Chompy pods are eliminated as well." Drobot added as the spikes lowered, revealing the Crystal Eye.
"That's an impressive piece of craftsmanship." Sonata noted with an impressed whistle before Chuckers fell down, defeated.
"Just in case we in a possible ambush, Drobot and I flew upward and checked for enemies." Lightning Rod said.
"Good. Let's get out of here." Sonata declared as the four rolled out the Crystal Eye, meeting up with the others and Diggs. "We're back!"
"Companion rescued." Drobot informed while carrying Double Trouble.
"Who's the Witch Doctor?" Mikey asked.
"Double Trouble, a Magic Skylander." Sonata answered.
"Let's get back to the Core and wake him up." Pinkie advised.
"Wow! Amazing. Suddenly everything is so much clearer. Let’s get it back to the Ruins and add it to the machine." Diggs said.
"I just said that." Pinkie pouted.
"I think he said that differently, Pinkster." Mikey explained.
A short while later, the group returned to the Core of Light before Master Eon showed up as the Crystal Eye started to float.
"Well done! You have brought back the Crystal Eye." Master Eon congradulated as the Crystal Eye placed itself on the Twin Spouts before looking forward while underground, a giant pristine crystal emerged from the magma as two pieces of machinery grabbed hold, carrying it as the addition was complete.
"Clear." Mikey said while using a makeshift defibrillator as he shocked Double Trouble, only to find himself shocked, due to Double Trouble getting that jump alarm, leaving the turtle dazed. "Hello Eda, how is your cockatoo?"
The girls covered their mouths to keep themselves from laughing as Mikey collapsed.
"I'm awake." Double Trouble informed.
"Hey Witch Doctor, give us the magic words!" Pinkie smiled.
"Hilarious." Double Trouble deadpanned.
"So, who's left to rescue?" Sonata asked.
"All the Life, Undead, and Fire, Drill Sergeant, Wrecking Ball, 2 Earths and Warnado." Drobot informed as Mikey woke up.
"Fourteen left. We're close to full strength." Mikey smiled as Hugo showed up.
"Thank you! Now we must get the Eternal Earth Source. The Villagers in Stonetown have recovered it and are keeping it safe until we arrive." Hugo informed.
"Okay. Let's eat then we'll go get it." Sonata added.
"WHOO-HOO! YEAH! Finally, an easy one! What did I tell ya! CAKE!" Flynn cheered.
"Sure. EXCEPT for Kaos, the growing Darkness AND the foul-smelling Cyclopses, ALL looking for the very thing that we are after." Hugo pointed out.
"Oh. Yeah, well. Heh. I guess if you count those…" Flynn admitted.
"Meantime, let's eat." Sonata said.
"I’m sure Diggs knows the way. We should ask him when you’re ready." Hugo advised.
"Oh good, ‘cause mah peepers can use a rest." Diggs sighed in relief.
"Also, Pinkie, Stealth and I need to ask Cali about something." Sonata added.
"Alright. Rest up, everyone." Mikey said as everyone got a break.
