The group groaned as they took a hard tumble into what was beyond the door, but as Twilight and the others looked around the place, they realized that there in a room with a lot of dusty paintings and some doors that were locked and blocked off by some pieces of wood that were nailed on to it, as well as the room they were in being a bit dark, but not too dark to the point where they couldn't even see each other, and judging by how things looked, it became clear that they had stumbled upon an Abandoned Hotel, but they were very confused, how could an Abandoned Hotel, be hidden or missing from any of the other Ponies for THIS long? It didn't make sense, unless it appeared due to magic. Some of the Ponies were very curious about the place and wanted to explore it, but Trixie wanted to get out, but when she tried to find and look for the door which they opened to get into the hotel in the first place, she couldn't find it anywhere, and she started freaking out.
"Guys, think this is a trap, we're stuck in here!"
Starlight tried to calm her best friend down and assure her that things were going to be okay.
"Calm down Trixie, I'm sure we can find another way out of this place, but I am curious to see where this could possibly lead"
Trixie then started calming down, meanwhile, Twilight managed to find a hidden elevator in the room, and judging by the keys she was able to press on it and the noises it made, it seemed like it was still a very functional elevator.
"Guys, I think I found an Elevator here that still works, maybe this could lead us to the exit"
Sunburst however thought that, since they did have Magic as Unicorns and Alicorns, that maybe they should try removing the wooden planks and nails that were locking up the doors and see if they might lead to something too.
"Sounds good, but first, let's test these doors"
However, when all the Unicorns and Twilight tried to use their magic to unlock and open the doors, it almost seemed like they were magic resistant, and no matter what they tried, they just couldn't unlock them, and when Starlight tried to use her Magic blast to break open the door, it just repelled back at her and nearly took her out, a few of the group, such as Flash, Gallus, Trixie and Sunset were now beginning to worry that there might be something more fishy going on than just magic resistant doors and were beginning to feel quite anxious, however, the whole group then all knew it meant only one option they had, was to go to the Elevator, and see where it would lead them, however, they then realized that the elevator was only suitable for holding up to eight Ponies or Creatures at a time, so that meant that temporarily, they had to be split into two groups, so, in one group, there was Spike, Gallus, Moondancer, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rarity, and the other group featured Twilight, Trixie, Sunburst, Starlight, Tempest, Sunset and Flash.
The first group then decided to head up into the elevator, and it took them all the way up to a different floor, when they got out, they saw a lot of locked doors, but one of them had a key lock that could be opened with a key, Applejack knew immediately what they had to do in that room.
"Alright guys, I think a key has to be around here somewhere since there is a key lock, let's all search for it in this room while we wait for the other group to come back up here"
"Good idea AJ, okay everypony, search in every drawer and every Painting"
They all then started searching around the place, and after a little while, Rarity ended up finding the key in one of the bottom drawers of a table.
"Found it Darlings!"
"Good job Rarity, now, let's use this to unlock the door and see what's ahead"
However, when they were about to start unlocking the lock, the group of ponies and a Griffon started to hear some really strange noises coming down from the hall, and then a few seconds later, the lights around the Hotel started flickering and the room starting shaking a lot, almost like some kind of Giant or Monster was coming right for them, and sure enough, as Spike looked from a distance, he saw a black mist Creature coming straight for them from the other hallway just behind them, Spike then knew exactly what he had to yell to the others.
"RUN!"
All of the Ponies from that group then started panicking, but then, they noticed that there were Closets around the area, and that they could all hide in them, Rainbow then informed everyone.
"Everypony and Creature, hide in the Closets!"
They all then went into each of their own closets, however, there was one big problem for them, there were no closets left for Gallus to hide in, which meant that he had to take an Alternative Strategy to try to get away from that creature or monster, but Gallus couldn't find anywhere else to hide, so, the only option he had left, was to try to unlock the door with the key, but he struggled to do so, and the Creature was coming closer and closer to him, all the other ponies then felt it pass by them, and then, they all heard a noise that they did not want to hear.
They heard a keychain drop to the ground, and when they knew the coast was clear and the monster was nowhere to be found or seen, they got out of their closets, and asked Gallus if he was okay.
"Hello, Gallus, is everything alright buddy?"
But then they all saw that the door was unlocked, but there was no sign of Gallus, almost like he just vanished into thin air, without a trace, and after they found a feather of Gallus on the floor, they knew at that moment, that their beloved Gryphon didn't make it in time, and was now gone, everypony from that group was stunned, then that shock, slowly started to turn into sadness, remorse and regret, Spike and some of the other Mane Six Ponies were starting to get really emotional, considering that they had known Gallus for quite a long time at the School of Friendship, thought he was a fantastic student, and a creature who had potential to do great things in Equestria, but all of that was now gone.
A Minute afterwards, the 2nd group which featured Twilight Sparkle and the others finally arrived with the elevator on the same floor with the first group, expecting to be waited there and greeted by the rest of their friends
"Hello Everypony and Every Creature, we are here?"
Instead, they were all looking down at any area which had a keyhole, Twilight and the others were very confused about what was going on, finally, Starlight decided to ask a question.
"What is going on guys, is something wrong?"
The rest of the group didn't know how to break the news to the others that one of their pals and friends were taken and no longer with them, but, they knew they had to tell them the truth about what happened, so, with that being said, Spike decided to be the one to break the news to the others.
"This place, isn't safe, Gallus is.... Gone"
The others were pretty confused about what Spike told them and couldn't quite grasp what the Dragon was telling them.
"What do you mean by that Spike?"
"Well, a Black Shadowy Creature or Monster starting coning down from the halls, and we all had to hide in closets, but there was none left for Gallus, and when the Monster stopped searching for us and we came out, we found the door that leads to the next room unlocked, but with no sign of Gallus, and we also found this feather from him"
Once Spike gave Twilight the feather that fell from Gallus before he got taken out, Twilight was shocked and then sad and started to tear up a little, she had teached and mentored Gallus a lot back in the School of Friendship, and she always thought that from all of the Student Six, he was the one who had the most potential to do amazing things, and she found him overall to be a great individual with a kind heart, but, the whole group knew that they still had to find a way to move on forward without him, and try to find a way out, obviously while being a lot more Cautious about things this time, however, as they were trying to wrap up their thoughts, the Halls started shaking again, and the rooms too, and the lights started flickering again, everyone then knew that the Monster was about to come back, Sunset tried to hurry overypony out of the room, and into the next door.
"Go, go, go, go, go!"
Everypony then opened the door and immediately ran into the next room that was ahead of them, and then closed the door behind them to make sure that the creature or monster couldn't see them or find them
