For the next few months, Flash Sentry went along with Twilight for many more visits, and Flash began to learn more about Ponyville, and met more of Twilight's other Friends along the way, like Discord, Sunburst, Trixie, and even the Student Six and the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and he all had a great time with them and also began to learn more about what Twilight liked and disliked, and Flash laughed his eyes out when he found out Twilight was afraid of Ladybugs, much to the Unamusement of Twilight, who just stood there frowning. But Flash did enjoy himself spending time with her and her other friends.
But he also realized that he was beginning to get bored of his job, since there were pretty much no more Villains in Equestria, there wasn't really any danger to scout for his job, and since Celestia and Luna retired, his duties have been shrinking and shrinking, Flash had been considering whether or not he might retire or look for another job, but Flash then realized that if he quit his job as a Castle Guard Member, then he really wouldn't get any opportunities to see Twilight, and she was almost like a light in his path of Darkness to him, a happy feeling that he hadn't felt in quite a long time.
And after a few months, one day, Flash decided to take a little bit of a risk with something, and he decided to go to the Canterlot Castle in his suit of armor and ask Twilight an important question in his mind. After Flash told the Royal Guards who he was and that he wanted to ask Twilight an Important Question, they let him in to the Castle and led him to the throne where Twilight Sparkle was around, seeming like she was writing a letter, then, she noticed Flash in front of her.
"Oh, Hello Flash, didn't really notice you there, how may I help you?"
"Well, you see Twilight, I kinda want to ask you an important question"
"Okay, I'm listening"
"Look, we have known each other for a little while now, and we've been pretty good friends"
Flash was getting a bit more anxious and nervous.
"Yes, that is true, why did you ask?"
"Well, I was wondering, if it's not too much to ask, would you mind if I...Could take you out on a date?"
Twilight thought about it, then gave Flash an answer.
"Well Flash, this isn't the question that is considered important to ask from a Castle Guard Member"
Flash then sighed but knew she was right.
"I know"
"I'll see and get back to you later on the day"
Twilight then started reading the letter she was writing, and Flash's head dropped down, thinking Twilight was going to reject him and his gesture.
"Oh, O-Okay"
Just as Flash was going to walk out of the Castle, it turned out Twilight was just messing around with him, as she turned down her letter and smiled at Flash.
"I'm just kidding, I'd love to go on a date with you"
Flash got surprised by Twilight's answer, and all of a sudden, his hopes started to go up.
"R-Really?"
"Yes really, why not?"
"Alright, that's great, what day are you free?"
"Hmmm, I think I can make some room in my schedule for the twenty eighth of the month"
"Alright, thank you very much Twilight"
Flash then hugged Twilight, which a few off the Castle Guards looked at Flash a little bit funny for, but Twilight just chuckled and gave Flash a hug back.
"You're welcome"
Flash then left Canterlot Castle happily skipping and trotting along, knowing Twilight has accepted his invitation, and during that night, Flash hopped onto his bed, excited, nervous and happy inside, he couldn't wait until the day on the twenty eighth of the month came.
