"Oooohhhh.  We're back after eleven years. Restarted in August 2023 to be exactish! Nice to see you again! But, why? I thought you were past ponies."

I'm not sure, honestly. I just felt bad for not finishing the main story. Guilty, I suppose. And I always liked these stories. I also missed you guys, to be honest.

"Well, you did write yourself into a corner, sort of."

Yeah, my own fault. 

"I also see you did a few edits, nothing major, just some silly writing mistakes. And tiny added bits, here and there, of course."

Yes, I want to exercise my fingers to help with my arthritis, too. Still, happy to hear you in my head again, Pinkie. I really missed you and Dash. I know I didn't use you much in the story, but this little side story helped. I'm thankful for my imaginary friends."

"I see you paused for about 12.38 seconds before adding the s on friends. Any reason?"

Well, it's been a while since I've written anything other than gaming-related stuff and business-related letters. I want to write a little fiction. I also really want to see what happens to Alex, Dash, Scootaloo, the diamond dog princess (her name escapes me right now), and the rest of the gang. After rereading the main story, I realized how much I missed them. I hoped talking to you would grease the old mental wheels.

"Pinkie the brain mechanic, at your service! Oh, and I just looked up that character's name, it was Summer Blossom."

Right! Summer Blossom. Angry teenager, but basically a good kid.Thanks, Pinkie. It's been what, four years since I wrote anything? I hope I can write a little bit more, even if it's just to finish the main story.

"I don't doubt it! I believe in you, Mr Author! You rock! You'll get some of those scenes from the ideas document you kept."

Huh. I legitimately forgot about that until I typed your dialogue. Thanks again, Pinkie!

"Brain grease job in bay 4! One slippery brain coming up!"

Heh. I missed you, mare! I'm looking forward to trying this again.

"What about your editors and proofreaders? Are they still around?"

You bet! I call them friends now. It would be fun to restart this whole Memverse thing. I think some of them would be interested in continuing their own stories too.

"Ooooh! We can find out what happens to Steelskin, Tyko, Noctus, and El! And maybe that jester guy too."

I'd best not get ahead of myself. First, one little chapter at a time.

"I'm glad you started with me, Mr Author. I'll do my best to guide you from the depths of your imagination. Good luck!"
