Second day in Hollywood and the boys ride the General Lee around town looking for their police cousin. After going around a lot, they find a headquarters, get out of the car and go inside.
"Good morning. What are you offering?" Asked a policeman kindly.
"We're looking for Captain James Sagan," Spike replied.
"Captain Sagan is patrolling a few blocks from here," he told them both, leaving.
"Well, let's keep looking," Garble went out with his cousin and they kept looking.
It didn't take long for them to find 3 police cars in front of a store, and their blue haired cousin carrying a gun and holding a megaphone.
"Very good, come out with your hands up and everything will be easier," Shining said, waiting for someone to come out.
And indeed, a thief comes out with his hands up and throws away his weapon, one of the policemen takes it away while the others relax, in that, the captain hears a horn and turns around, seeing his cousins.
"Spike! Gabriel!" He greeted excitedly as they get out of the car and give each other a big hug.
"Happy to see you, Shining," Spike replied.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were in the county," he asked them, never seeing them in the city before.
"Cousin, this is important, Hogg wants to turn Hazzard into a mine, we found pure iron."
"And he doesn't even have a permit, he'll make everyone homeless," Drake finished worriedly.
"This is serious, but I'm sorry, I have work here and that's my priority before I can go with you," he apologized to both of them for not being able to go for now.
"Ok. How long will it take?" Garble asked raising an eyebrow.
"One day."
"We can wait."
After organizing with their police cousin, they are returning to the camp with complete peace of mind, but just as they are about to turn, they see that a boy is being beaten by 3 more boys. They get out of the car and approach.
"Hey! Leave him alone!" Spike yelled, drawing her attention.
"Do you remember what uncle Nick taught us?" Garble smiled getting into position.
"Of course."
Then the fight begins, Spike dodges a blow from one of them and responds with an uppercut to the liver and then hits him on the head with his knee. Gabriel blocks the blows of the other 2 and counterattacks with an uppercut and a cross.
Then both decide to give the last blows and at the same time both give an uppercut to the 3, destabilizing the group who run to their car.
"Haha, you were great, Garble," he told his cousin while holding up his fist.
"You too, Drake," Garble also complimented him on his moves.
Then they both give a fist bump and pick up the boy, who barely thanks them. In that, a black 1960 Cadillac arrives together with a Camaro from the 70's, 5 young people come out of them.
"Hey, that's my best friend, so leave him if you don't want a beating," replied the one who seems to be the leader.
"W-Wait... They helped me...," the injured man stopped his friend before anything bad happened.
"They helped a stranger? Why?" He absorbed the words and was surprised by it.
"We would never leave someone on their own," Spike answered, thanks to that, they started again.
"Sorry for the misunderstanding, I'm Johnny Jackson, better known as Rumble," he introduced himself.
Rumble is a teenager of about 17 years old, he has short dark gray hair, light purple eyes, and a medium pale complexion. He wears a gray T-shirt over a blue lumberjack shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
"I'm Spike Duke and this is my cousin Gabriel Duke," Spike introduced himself and his cousin.
"We owe you for saving my best friend, Jake Miller," he thanked them and told them his friend's name in passing.
"It's nothing, really," they tried to be modest.
"Hmm... How about they come to a block party? It's my way of paying them," he proposed, something they both immediately agreed to.
In the camp.
The girls are having fun while the boys are away, they were also talking a lot about their lives and the homes they left behind.
"So your family grows apples," Starlight said as they listened to Applejack.
"Yes, it's a family tradition since we settled in Hazzard," Jackeline recounted as she took a sip of apple cider.
"And what do you grow, Twilight?" Sunset asked her best friend.
"Oh, a bit of everything, we also raise animals," she replied, remembering his home and the times she helped out on the farm.
In that, a walkie talkie begins to ring and Eliza takes it, listening to the voice of her cousins on the other end.
"Twi, we're going to camp later, we saved a boy and we got invited to a block party," Spike's voice answered.
"Very well, we are waiting for you."
"Oh, and tonight go to a bar called 'Western', Shining told us there's a country dance competition tonight," Gabriel added.
"Ok, I'll tell the girls, over and out," Eliza turns off the walkie talkie and returns to the girls, telling them the news, something that makes Jackie excited.
From the other side of the city.
We see many people gathered, it is the neighborhood party to which the Dukes were invited, there is barbecue, dancing, good music and relics on wheels.
"So this is a block party," Garble said, looking around.
"Similar to the meetings uncle Nick and aunt Lynda have," Spike added as he took a sip of the punch he found.
"Looks like Rumble found some new friends," a voice said behind them, both of them looking at 2 girls.
The first, about 19 years old, has short blue and turquoise hair, eyes covered by purple black framed glasses, and a peach complexion. She wears a light blue sweatshirt with a musical note, blue jeans and light blue sneakers.
The second girl, about 22 years old, has long yellowish amber gray hair, grayish purple eyes, and a slightly pale complexion. She wears a white shirt over a purple vest, a purple skirt, and black shoes.
"Welcome to the neighborhood, I'm Harley Johannes, known as Vinyl Scratch" said the one with glasses while introducing herself.
"And I'm Octavia Jones, nice to meet you," the girl introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Gabriel Duke and this is my cousin Spike Duke," Garble introduced the two as they shook hands.
"Also known as: Drake and Garble," Spike added with their nicknames.
"They're not from around here, are they?" Octavia asked.
"No, we're from Hazzard county, South Georgia," Gabriel replied.
"I've never heard of the place."
"Me neither."
"They'll like it, it's quiet," Spike assured.
While they continue talking, it gets dark and more people arrive at the place, turning into a party that the cousins soon leave, since they have another commitment.
In "Western".
Inside the bar, there are many people in peasant or cowboy clothes dancing to the rhythm of Country music and on a balcony are the 6 protagonists watching all the dancing.
"We never miss the friday dance contest, but it's funny that they do here too," Twilight said.
"I've never danced like them, it will be interesting," Sunset replied.
"I know a little, but I don't dare dance," Starlight added.
"Hey, Spike, I'd like to dance with you," Applejack said to Spike.
And before he can answer, the boy is taken by the arm and led to the dance floor, where they start dancing to a slow beat.
"You're still fast, girl, but you'll see tonight,"Sunset told herself.
"I remember one time we danced together at the boar bar at home," Spike chuckled.
"That day we danced to a fast beat and in the end we won," Jackeline remembered that day wistfully, the day she fell in love with Spike.
Soon a fast pace begins and the couples begin to demonstrate their dancing skills as Drake and Jackie smile and demonstrate their steps as well.
"Hehe, apparently Jackeline and Spike are having fun," Garble smiled seeing his cousin happy.
"I'm glad to see you dance again," Eliza also smiled seeing them together.
After a while with the music in a frenzy mode, he abruptly ends the same as the dancers, receiving applause from the others.
"Spike...," This caught the boy's attention who listened to his friend: "I've been wanting to tell you something for a long time."
"Tell me what it is," he replied with a smile.
"I...," but at that moment, she is interrupted by the host of the dance, who announces who will be the winning couple.
"Listen everyone, the winning couple is... Couple 6!" They all turn to Spike and Jackie who are that couple and start clapping.
Back to camp.
Everyone enjoys a good campfire while telling stories and telling jokes to make the atmosphere more pleasant. As for Jackie, she's glad she didn't confess her feelings to Spike yet, as she didn't feel safe.
"I'm telling you, you girls will like Hazzard," Twilight told her friends.
"Only they'll have to live with the local lunatics," Garble laughed.
They all laugh at this and stay in a nice and peaceful silence for a while, until one by one they go to their tent, thus ending today.
