Today the girls are on a boat to Silver town which is at the base of Mt. Silver. Turquoise was on the bow of the ship looking towards the horizon.

“Soon we will be at the journey's end point,” Turquoise said as she reflected on everything she and Fluttershy went through on this journey so far. She looked back on all the encounters she had with the pokemon she caught on this journey, the gym leaders she had gone against and learned from, the rivals she had met, and the many people she had met along the way. Fluttershy approached her as she was thinking.

“Everything alright Turquoise?” Fluttershy asked.

“I’m fine, I'm just thinking back on where we began and how far we came,” Turquoise said.

“We came quite far on this journey, didn’t we,” Fluttershy said.

“I’m just surprised it will be over so soon,” Turquoise said.

“What are you planning to do after the Silver conference if you don’t mind me asking?” Fluttershy asked.

“Aside from challenging the elite four again I'm not sure,” Turquoise said. Before the conversation could continue mt.Silver was coming up on the horizon which meant the ship was approaching its destination. As soon as the ship pulled into the port and lowered the ramp Turquoise and Fluttershy disembarked along with the other passengers.

“We reach Mt.Silver so how much further do we have to go?” Fluttershy asked. Turquoise pulled up the map on her pokegear and gave her answer.

“Not far, Silver Town is just fifteen minutes away, “Turquoise said.

“Then let's go, “Fluttershy said before the girls kept going. Fifteen minutes later they arrived at Silver Town which was all set up for the Silver Conference which was a week from now.

“Glad you girls could make it,” A voice that was revealed to be Loki said.

“Loki, so good to see you again,” Turquoise said.

“I assume you are here because you got all eight badges?” Loki asked.

“Yep, it took some time to go from the other end of the region to here but we made it,” Turquoise said.

“Other end of the region?” Loki asked.

“Candina Island, off the coast of Olivine City,” Fluttershy said.

“Right, the grand Festival, I forgot you also did contests,” Loki said.

“Wait, how did you know about that? I don’t recall ever mentioning it to you until now,” Turquoise asked.

“I make it my business to keep track of all of my rivals and their achievements, congrats on winning by the way,” Loki said.

“In any case I look forward to battling you in the competition, “Turquoise said. The girls decided to head to the pokemon center which would also be serving as the hotel for the Silver Conference participants. This Pokemon center was the biggest one Turquoise and Fluttershy ever saw.

“So Turquoise will you be using all of your pokemon or just the ones you caught here?” Fluttershy asked.

“I will rotate my team depending on what pokemon my opponents are using,” Turquoise said.





Back at Professor Oak’s Lab the rest of Turquoise’s pokemon were very excited after hearing Turquoise arrived at the Silver Conference and were looking forward to competing. Vespiquen was busy with her subjects or more specifically the only female among them. She wanted to help Turquoise with the Silver Conference since she could not help with the Grand festival. Luckily today was the day Vespiquen would be relieved of her duty as queen since the female Combee started to glow and change shape. Once the glow died down a second Vespiquen appeared and then left with all the other Combee to find a new place to live since it was time for the swarm to leave the lab. Professor Oak approached Turquoise’s Vespiquen and told her the good news.

“Now that the Combee have a new queen to lead them, you can go help Turquoise with the Silver conference, “Professor Oak said, which made Vespiquen very happy.





Back at the Pokemon center in Silver town Turquoise was thinking about how she and fluttershy would kill enough time until the competition began.

“We could go see Mt.Silver,” Fluttershy suggested.

“I would not go there if I were you two, “Loki said.

“And why not?” Turquoise asked.

“Because Mt.Silver is off limits to the general public since the pokemon there are wickedly strong,” Loki said.

“Then what do we do for a whole week?” Turquoise asked.

“Might I suggest looking at the shops and stuff here,” Loki suggested.

“Guess that will have to do,” Turquoise said.





Six days went by and today was the day the first stage of the Silver conference began. Today was the athlete screening which consisted of three one-on-one battles which would determine who moves on to the next stage of the conference. The fact that there were over 200 trainers and only 48 of them would move on to the next stage of the competition made Turquoise somewhat nervous.

“Hey just relax, Remember, even if you lose one you still have a chance to make it,” Fluttershy said assuringly.

“You're right but who knows what we are in for,” Turquoise said knowing that everyone else who is competing will be bringing their A game. Before the girls could talk more an announcement played over the intercom.

“Will Turquoise from Pallet Town and Alice from Ecruteak City please report to the C court,” The announcement said.

“Looks like it's our turn already,” Turquoise said before she and Fluttershy left for the court. As soon as they arrived Turquoise took her spot on the right side of the battlefield facing a girl with bleach blonde hair styled in a ponytail wearing a shrine maiden outfit. As for fluttershy she sat on the bench to watch as the ref took his spot.

“The second screening match in the C-block is now in session, The battle between Turquoise from Pallet Town and Alice from Ecruteak City will now begin, We will first decide the order of battle,” The ref said before a green and red roulette on the monitor began to spin.

“It's all decided by computer huh, which means whoever sends their pokemon out first has the disadvantage, “Fluttershy said to herself before the roulette stopped on green which meant Turquoise was going first.

“Turquoise will send first and then Alice, begin the match,” The ref said while raising his flags.

“”Go Garchomp,” Turquoise said as she sent Garchomp out and he was raring to go.

“Going for power I see, in that case, Go Glaceon,” Alice said as she elegantly sent out her Glaceon who looked ready to go. “Glaceon use Ice shard. Glaceon created some chunks of ice before firing them at Garchomp.

“Use dragon claw on that ice. Garchomp’s claws were covered in green and bluish energy before extending and slicing up the ice thus rendering it ineffective. “Now use dig. Garchomp burrowed underground.

“Be on your guard Glaceon, Garchomp could come out from anywhere. Glaceon kept on her guard but failed to notice garchomp coming up from under it and dealing a lot of damage but not enough to beat it. “Now use Ice Beam while Garchomp is still in range. Glaceon was getting ready to fire an ice beam until Turquoise reacted.

“Use Dragon Breath. Garchomp unleashed dragon breath in time to not only stop Glaceon from using Ice beam but to finish it off as well.

“Glaceon is unable to battle, Garchomp is the winner, the victor is Turquoise of Pallet Town, “The ref said while raising his right flag.

“We did Garchomp,” Turquoise said with garchomp nodding in agreement.

“Glaceon, you did your best, now rest up,” Alice said before recalling Glaceon. Sometime later Turquoise was now in the middle of her second match.

“Now Sprigatito use leafage. Sprigatito unleashed her leafage attack on a Gastrodon which resulted in a critical hit and a second victory. Next was her third match where she and her Umbreon were facing a trainer with a Mismagius who was quite fast. “Umbreon use Dark Pulse. Umbreon unleashed his dark pulse which resulted in a critical hit and Turquoise’s third victory.

“You did it, you won them all,” Fluttershy said carefully.

“Wasn't easy, that's for sure,” Turquoise said. Sometime later the girls along with the other trainers competing in the silver conference were looking at a huge monitor which had the pictures of the 48 trainers who made it through the screening. Suddenly Turquoise saw Loki’s picture among them. “Look there’s Loki, he made it. Fluttershy noticed Rick’s picture too.

“And so did Rick,” Fluttershy said. Turquoise kept her eye out for her own picture which luckily was among them which meant she made it too.

“All right all three of us made it, now to blow right past them,” Turquoise said not knowing mr. goodshow was listening in on them.

“I wonder, will it all go that easily?” Mr. Goodshow said.

“What do you mean mr. Goodshow?” Fluttershy asked.

“I mean  getting past the semi-finals is a tall order in itself,” mr. Goodshow said before continuing. “The silver conference semi-finals are fought between three members of each block and only the trainer with the most victory points from those battles will compete in the victory tournament in the finals. Only 16 participants who made their way through the semi-finals will be able to compete in that tournament.

“Wow that sounds like a tough road ahead,” Fluttershy said.

“No matter we come this far and we will keep going,” Turquoise said.





Later that night Turquoise was having a hard time sleeping and decided to go for a walk with Espeon. The two were walking by the side of a beautiful lake.

“You know the semi-finals will start right after the opening ceremonies tomorrow, Right Espeon? And we will be up against some very tough competition, “Turquoise said to Espeon who nodded in agreement. As they were walking and talking turquoise noticed someone sitting on a rock ahead of them. It was revealed to be Rick.

“I take it you could not sleep either? “Rick asked.

“Espeon and I were out for some fresh air that’s all,” Turquoise said before Rick invited her to sit next to him. The two were staring at the full moon in the sky before getting deep.

“You know this reminds me of when we first met on route 1 in Kanto,” Rick said.

“How so?” Turquoise asked.

“That full moon was shining the same night I arrived in Viridian City and seeing it again makes me feel like we both matured since then,” Rick said.

“I was such a noob back then,” Turquoise said using the same term Rick used back then.

“You were, and now look at you, You won the Indigo League and become a trainer worthy of my respect, “ Rick said.

“Thank you,” Turquoise said.

“So Turquoise, what are you planning to do after the Silver Conference?” Rick asked.

“To be honest I really don’t know,” Turquoise said. “I mean I will challenge Prima and the Elite 4 again but other than that I'm not sure what else.

“Well I'm sure you will find your answer soon enough, for now let’s just focus on the semi-finals, “Rick said.





The next day the stands in the stadium were filling to the brim as fireworks filled the skies.

“Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to Silver stadium and the opening ceremonies for the Johto league Silver Conference, the stadium is filled to capacity as the audience waits for the athletes arrival, “The announcer said.





Back at Professor Oak’s lab the Professor was hauling some books around before noticing the silver conference on the TV and looking excited.

“Come on Tracy, you can finish that up later, right now the opening ceremony is about to start,” Professor Oak said as his assistant sat next to him to watch.





At Turquoise’s House, Sylvia was sitting on the couch with Yamper watching the silver conference on TV.

“I hope Turquoise made it,” Slyvia said while petting Yamper, who looked happy.





In the Recreation Area of the Celadon City Gym the girls were gathered on the couch in front of the TV watching the Silver conference. Suddenly Erika arrived looking quite refreshed.

“Did I miss Turquoise in Action? “Erika asked.

“They are showing the opening Ceremonies right now so you did not miss anything,” Sapphire said.

“That’s good to hear, “Erika said before joining them.





Back at the stadium Turquoise was about to line up with the other trainers but not before chatting with Fluttershy.

“I will be in the stands cheering you on,” Fluttershy said before leaving. Turquoise got in line where Rick and Loki were ahead of her. Soon the doors opened and the trainers filled the center of the stadium slowly.

“Please give a warm welcome to our trainers as they enter the stadium,” the announcer said as they entered. As soon as Turquoise entered Fluttershy was excited and so was everyone watching from home. “And now we await the arrival of the Torch runner. Sometime later the man who was selected to do the honor of lighting the torch entered the stadium and ascended the stairs leading to the dias. As soon as Goodshow gave the signal he lit the dias and caused the torch to ignite. “And now with the lighting of the torch, We declare the Silver Conference officially open. The crowd got excited and so did the trainers competing. Will Turquoise made it past the semi finals? Find out next time as the journey continues.
