Chapter 3: Suffering
"Ow,my head... did I fall asleep?" Lan had just woken up, for some reason in a crater. "Hey look apples... wait... APPLES?! I must be in Ponyville, I DID IT!"
"And that's all I needed to hear."
"Who's there?!"
"First you come to mah farm 'n destroy mah land. Den you ask who I am? Scum."
"What did I... OH NO! You got it all wrong, I wa..."
"Enough" This voice sounded deeper, way deeper.
"So Mac, whatcha plan'n."
"This."
An arm, belonging to the one and only Big Macintosh, came from the shadow and was directly heading towards Lan. Lan saw this and leaped to safety. He couldn't fly, to much pain.
"What was that for?!"
Applejack came from the shadow, ready to pounce.

Gilda had it all planned, from the core.
She was planning to humiliate that alicorn. She didn't like people, including one that looked like he could harm... her. With all the materials set, it was time to control the pawn.

"YOU HAVE IT ALL WRONG, I SWEAR I DIDN'T MEAN TO DESTROY YOUR TREES!!! PLEASE STOP!!!" Lan was in full motion. His heart rate would turn a doctor into mush.
"Nope." Mac's hoof almost struck Lan, but Lan took control, and got on Macs back.
"I'm sorry, but you leave me no choice!" Lan hit Mac in the neck. Didn't work.
"Well that's just flipping great." Lan continued his run. It felt like the time where his mother tried to put him in a gym, and made him run on the treadmill for 4 hours straight. Lan pondered that thought, wondering what the hell was wrong with her.
Lan was now in Ponyville, he could tell. It's a lot bigger than he had expected. Wait he should be paying attention to Mac and OH SHIT LOOK OUT.
"Wait... what?" Lan crashed into several gas containers, and when the metal containers collided, a shimmer of destruction appeared. Sparks.
Both Mac and Applejack froze as they saw the fire start. If they didn't think fast, the whole town could be destroyed. Mac and Applejack teamed up, and while Mac found water, Applejack kicked dust into the fire. With the combined efforts, the fire shimmered down into nothing but black. They had saved the town, buckets and hay, alas, were not.
"Why. Why would you do that..." Applejack whimpered.
"I didn't mean too. I wasn't paying attention an..."
"GET OUT!!!" Applejack was now screaming at Lan.
"But I... I......... fine. I'm sorry I existed." Lan was now in full pain. He may have been made fun of, but never has he felt suck emotional pain like this. This was worse.
The entire town was speechless. Neither one knew what to do. To scream at poor Lan, or to help.
"I guess i'll just go... rot now. Nowhere to live anyways." Lan sunk. He wasn't trying to pull them. He had meant that. And it was true.
"... TO THINK THIS WOULD WORK!!! IT ALWAYS TURNS HORRIBLY WRONG!!!" Lan was full on crying now. He's pretty damn good at hiding his emotions, but he couldn't hold it in.
"... Wait. Let me he..." Applejack started.
"NO, JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!! LET ME DIE!!!"
"But..."
"NO!!!"
Lan took off, flying as fast as he could. He didn't mind the pain. He just wanted to get away.
"What have I done..." Applejack shed one tear.

"All i wanted to do was to start a new life, away from it all. NO, it'll will never work. I'm enemy number one. Maybe I can go live with that girl from before." Lan felt terrible, he had never made anyone so mad.
'Its ok, let out your feelings. It'll will be all over soon.'
"Who's there?"
'A friend. Trust me, let go. Help has arrived.'
"Wha..."
"Hey there, you must be the little trouble maker Applejack said about. Well you don't look so bad. Would you come with me?" A sweet voice said, seemingly lovely.
"Get away from me. I don't deserve anything."
"It will be ok, my names Twilight Sparkle. I'm here to help."
Lan was shell shocked, he hadn't expected that. Maybe this was the help that the voice described. Help.
"Why, i'm just going to mess it all up."
"Don't say that! You looked starved, let me get you something."
"Please don't..."
"No, I want to help. I know you didn't mean to destroy Applejack farm, and I know you didn't mean to set that fire. No one would do that." Finally.
"... Your right. But I don't know. If I go back, everyone will yell at me."
"No they won't."
"Yes they will."
"Fine, i'll just teleport us back to my house. No one will see you."
"That sounds fine. Thank you for being so kind."
She just smiled.
"It's nice to see someone be kind to me." Lan thought, as he was just then magically in Twilight's house.

"Are you certain he is ready?"
I'm more than certain, child. I have full faith in him.
"But he did destroy a lot of things."
Accidental. Out of all the people, I thought you would understand.
"But, please. Send me. I can do the job! I've trained for this!"
Don't yell at me, I told you all ready. Your job is to watch over Earth. I trained you to do that.
"... Fine..."
Thank you, you may now leave.
"Thank you."

"I'm going after him. I will stop him. if my name isn't Malord. Ruler of darkness."
"But sire, they must be another way. If you were you, I would send a scout. Find his weakness."
"Hmm, maybe. Fine, send Nightwing."
"... But I am Nightwing..."
"OH... yes. Go and find his... what do you call it?"
"Weakness?"
"Yes I would like some tacos... bring me some."
"... Yes sir?"
