Rise of a new kingdom

Chaos

I was out on the balcony thinking about my alliance with the changelings. If I was honest I didn’t entirely trust this Queen Chryasilis however she was the best I’ve got.

The military had been carrying out joint exercises with the Changeling army, which included carrying out amphibious landing exercises, air strikes drills and both urban and rural military exercises. On top of that we had also been inventing new equipment such as long, pieces of wood that shoots magic, we call them maskits, along with landing craft that can get troops onto the mainland.

Our plan so far was for the changelings to attack Canterlot from within while Solar forces would attack from the outside with naval invasions and air strikes. The one thing we can not decide on however is when we should launch our attack. I had decided to visit the cave in which the Changeling army is hiding out, this would be the first time I had been inside my homeland since that fateful day. Taking a deep breath I closed my eyes and teleported. I knew the teleportation spell had been successful because of the notable sound and the bright flash seeping through my closed eyelids.

Opening my eyes I saw that I was in a large cavern covered in a green like gooey substance. Looking around I noticed changelings in a dark armour along with unconscious ponies who had been trapped inside of green cocoons made out of that same green goo that covered the cavern. I was horrified to see that several of the trapped ponies were foals as young as ten, the same age I had been when I fled from home.

“Welcome to my humble abode and temporary hideout” chrysalis welcomed while analysing me.

“What is this?” I asked trying to keep my temper under control and gesturing to the captured ponies.

“My farm” she said simply as if she wasn’t doing nothing wrong.

“Excuse me but what doe you mean by farm” I growled.

“ We are using them for their love, you could call them prisoners of war”

“We are not at war yet”

“So if we did not take them then our plan would not work, it would look weird if there was two of the same ponies walking around. Now if you want our invasion to be successful I suggest you keep quiet”

I couldn’t believe she had the audacity to tell me to shut up but I knew she was right so i very reluctantly agreed but not before saying “After the war we let them go, ok”

“Of course” she sneered mockingly.

All of a sudden Chrysalis’s eyes widened in surprise before muttering to herself impossible before I could ask what was going on she quickly ran of to the entrance of the cave which opened to reveal the City of Canterlot after staring at the skyline nostalgically he suddenly noticed that there were pink clouds that were raining chocolate.

Quickly magicking up a large bucket I immiedietly started to fill it with the glorious chocolate all the while Chrysalis was giving me a deadpanned look that screamed really

I quickly composed myself before I noticed something in the distance near a large hedge maze. It was a weird looking creature that was part everything that was when I noticed six recognisable but gray looking mares. I gasped I instantly recognised them as the so called elements of harmony.

“What is it?” Chrysalis asked trying to see what I’m looking at.

“I just found the elements”

She scoffed before sneering “What? Celestia’s so called superweapons” she said that last part in quotation marks with her hooves.

“Yep, just so we know what we could be dealing with I think we should send one of your changelings to spy on them while I talk back to my government”

“Agreed” she said before pulling a weird face when a second later several changelings zoomed past.

“How do you do that?”

“Do what?” She smirked as if she already knew what I was asking about.

“Summon your changelings out of nowhere”

“The hive mind I find communicate with my changelings through the mind”

I nodded before walking of into smaller cavern. I then placed a soundproof spell on the room and took out a communication crystal.

“Shadow Knight guess who just shown up?” I asked.

“Who? And whats up with the weather?” He asked back.

“Celestia’s so called superheroes; I'm gonna take a wild guess they might have something to do with the chocolate rain” I explained when all of a sudden it turned to night then back to day before it kept repeating.

“What in the blazes is going on?” I asked not believing my eyes. Out of nowhere I slipped. What had been solid rock had now turned into soap.

“Grrrr” I growled before adding “this is beginning to get on my nerves now”

“Are you seeing all this weirdness” I asked Shadow.

“Yes its chaotic down here. I keep slipping on my face and I’ve lost track of time not to mention all the weird mutant animals stampeding everywhere. Now houses are getting turned upside down. It’s chaos, thats what it is.”

My eyes narrowed in realisation “Discord” i muttered.

“Who?” Shadow asked.

“The god of chaos. My mo- Princess Celestia defeated him years ago” I explained.

I then ordered “Put the kingdom in lockdown and tell everpony to stay indoors for their own safety until this mess is sorted out”

I heard a quick “yes sir” before hanging up. I made the soundproof bubble vanish and then went to Crysallis and told her “This is caused by Discord”

“Discord as in the menace that got turned to stone” she asked incredulously.

“The one and only” a voice shouted gleefully.

“Show yourself, menace” Crysallis commanded.

“I don’t answer to insects” the voice said mischievously.

“Why you little” Crysallis muttered angrily.

“Now I know you insect but I don’t know you” the voice said in my ear and the draqouiness showed itself by peering over my shoulder. I instantly whipped around.

“I think an introduction is in order. I am Discord and what is your name” he asked me as if I was a foal.

“None of your business” I snarled back.

“Tut tut tut, planning an invasion are we?”

“If you tell Celestia, I will personally rip your head of” Crysallis growled.

“Don’t worry Crysallis and none of your business, your secret is safe with me” he said while patting both of our heads which elicited a magic beam from both of us. He quickly teleported to the entrance of the cave.

He then said “Now unfortunately I have to go, I have an appointment with a certain bookworm that I can’t miss. Smell you later” he waved comically before teleporting away.

“How can one creature be so annoying.” I growled.

“I don’t know but I do not trust him” Crysallis said, narrowing her eyes at the spot where the prankster vanished from.

“Agreed. We should delay the invasion until the heat dies down”

The changeling queen nodded in agreement. All of a sudden a rainbow light filled the air. In the distance I could see a massive rainbow laser head towards the earth.

“Im gonna take a wild guess that was Discord getting his flank kicked” I said as the chocolate rain vanished and the day and night cycle was restored.

After that chaotic day I bid Crysallis a goodbye before teleporting back to my kingdom. I knew that it was going to be a long day.

After congratulating the main six, Celestia went back up to her private chambers. After sitting down on her bed she pulled out a dusty, old photo album. She started to look through the pages as her eyes started to leak tears.

Everytime she closed her eyes she could see her son’s scared face and his last words fine ill go, princess.

She walked to the balcony where she asked no pony in particular “Solar Storm where are you? Im so sorry, I'm a terrible mother, please come back, please forgive me” however it was to no avail, she knew that he couldn’t hear her. He could be dead for all she knew. She slowly trudged back to bed where she fell asleep hugging the photo album.
