A few days later at the Mystery Shack, where Dipper, Mabel Sunset, and Sunset Pre-Reformed were having breakfast. Suddenly, Dipper and Mabel started competing over who can eat syrup first. Mabel won that competition, but she got a little stuck.
Sunset Pre-Reformed had been looking at the woods and exploring the city, she told the others that she was just seeing what Gravity Falls was like, but the other Sunset was sure that she was looking for something.
Suddenly Dipper looked at the newspaper called Gravity Falls Gossiper and decided to comment on what caught his attention in that newspaper.
“Ho ho, no way! Hey Mabel and you both Sunset, check this out,” Dipper said, showing them the newspaper.
Mabel decided to see what Dipper wanted to say about the newspaper and the first to speak was Mabel.
“Human-sized hamster ball?” Mabel said looking at the newspaper very excited and then she continued talking. "I'm human-sized."
"No, no, Mabel. This,” Dipper said, pointing to a monster photo contest. “We see weirder stuff than that every day!”
“We didn't get any photos of those Gnomes, did we?” Dipper asked.
“Nope, just memories. And this beard hair”, said Mabel showing it to Dipper and the two Sunsets.
“Why did you save that?” Dipper asked, Sunset and Sunset Pre-Reformed wondering the same thing.
Mabel just shrugged. Sunset Pre-Reformed was still looking for what the Entity had said was in Gravity Falls, but Dipper's idea of making money wasn't bad either. Shortly after Stan appeared and spoke to them.
"Buenos dias. You four know what day it is?” Stan said.
"Um... Happy anniversary?" Dipper said a bit nervous.
“Happy birthday?” Sunset said doubtfully.
“Mazel tov!” Mabel said with her usual cheerfulness.
Sunset Pre-Reformed didn't feel like guessing because yesterday she spent most of the day exploring the Gravity Falls forest.
“It's Family Fun Day, genius! We're cutting off work and having one of those,” says Stan.
“Grunkle Stan, is this gonna be anything like our last family bonding day? That you made the new Sunset, Mabel and I make fake money," Dipper said.
"Dipper is right, if it wasn't for I woke up thirsty and realized the police were coming so I started hiding all the evidence I would have put us in jail," Sunset said.
Sunset remembered that he woke up with his human form and saw the police coming, he immediately touched the other Sunset to take her unicorn form and then hide all the evidence.
“Which reminds me why did you help Stan on this?” Sunset asks the Sunset Pre-Reformed.
“Just help Stan out a bit,” Sunset Pre-Reformed replied.
Sunset thought that Sunset Pre-Reformed could avoid jail if he pretended to be just a common animal.
“All right, maybe I haven't been the best summer caretaker. But I swear, today we're gonna have some real family fun. Now who wants to put on some blindfolds and get into my car?” Stan said enthusiastically.
“YAY!” Dipper, Mabel and Sunset said excitedly at the same time.
"Wait, what?" Dipper and the 2 Sunset said after thinking a bit about what Stan said.

Soon after, Dipper, Mabel, Sunset, and the Sunset Pre-Reformed were in Stan's car blindfolded.
"Blindfolds never lead to anything good," Dipper said with some concern.
"You're right Dipper," Sunset said.
“I don't know how Stan got me into this,” Sunset Pre-Reformed said.
“Wow! I feel like all my other senses are heightened. I can see with my fingers!” Mabel said as she touched Dipper's face.
Dipper, upon hearing another crash from the car, decided to ask Stan a question, because he had heard it crash more than twenty times before.
“Grunkle Stan, are you wearing a blindflod?” Dipper asked.
"Haha. Nah, but with these cataracts I might as well be. What is that, a woodpecker?” Stan said, then left the road in the middle of the woods.
Upon hearing that, Sunset Pre-Reformed immediately tried to teleport to save herself from her, but before she could, he accidentally touched the other Sunset because of all those jolts the car was making, causing her to take on a human form. Sunset realizing that she was in the form of a unicorn tried to form a force field, but a jolt caused her to touch the Sunset Pre-Reformed causing her to take on the human form.
...
Then they arrived at the destination that Stan wanted to reach so much and none of the 2 Sunsets could use her magic because of all the shocks that there were.
"Okay, okay. Open ‘em up!” Stan said.
The 2 Sunsets stopped trying to use magic, but they couldn't do it and they also realized that they reached their destination.
“Ta-da! It's fishin' season!" Stan said.
“Fishing?” Mabel asked doubtfully.
"What're you playin' at, old man?" Dipper asked.
The 2 Sunsets were also very doubtful, but he didn't ask why Dipper and Mabel had already done it.
“You're gonna love it! The whole town's out here!” Stan said cheerfully.
Sunset, Pre-Reformed, Dipper and Mabel began to pay attention to the lake, they saw that most of the inhabitants of Gravity Falls were in the lake. There were also Wendy's father and 3 brothers fishing on the lake in a boat.
“Uh, is this good?” asks one of Wendy's brothers named Marcus, showing his father a fishing pole.
“NO!” Wendy's father named Manly Dan yells.
After that he takes the fishing pole and breaks it in half.
“I’ll show you how a real man fishes!” says Manly Dan, grabbing a fish straight out of the water. “Ha ha ha ha ha!”, after which he throws the fish on the bottom of the boat, jumps on it, and then starts hitting it repeatedly.
"Dad! Give! Give! Dad! ”, Said Marcus along with his two brothers Kevin and Gus supporting his father.
“Get 'em! Get 'em!” said Tyler Cutebiker on a boat supporting Manly Dan.
Stan decided to speak again.
"That's some quality family bonding!" Stan said.
“Grunkle Stan, why do you wanna bond with us all of a sudden?” Dipper said.
“Dipper is right, what do you plan to do?” Sunset Pre-Reformed asked.
“Come on, this is gonna be great! I've never had fishing buddies before. The guys from the lodge won't go with me: they don't 'like' or 'trust' me,” Stan said.
“I think he actually wants to fish with us,” Mabel said quietly to Dipper.
“Hey, I know what'll cheer you sad sack up”, says Stan immediately after pulling out 4 hats with the names Dipper, Mabel and 2 with the name Sunset written on them. “Wow! Pines family fishing hats! That-that's hand stitching, you know and I did not forget to make hats them for your 2”
Sunset, Sunset Pre-Reformed, Dipper and Mabel, seeing the hats, could only notice that they were very poorly made.
“It’s just gonna be us and those goofy hats on a boat for ten hours!” Stan said happily.
“Ten hours?” Dipper asked.
“I brought the joke book!” said Stan holds up called 1001Yuk ‘Em Ups.
"No! NO!” Dipper yelled in fear.
“There has to be a way out of this,” Mabel said, sharing her opinion with Dipper.
Sunset and Sunset Pre-Reformed wondered why they were so scared just because of one book, but they knew there should be a reason for it. Suddenly a person's screams were heard.
“I SEEN IT! SEEN IT AGAIN!” shouts a man named Old Man McGucket.
After saying that Old Man McGucket runs from dock, crashing into and overturning various things.
“The Gravity Falls Gobblewonker! Come quick before it scrabdoodles away!” Old Man McGucket yells and then starts dancing. "Uh huh, ha ha hoo."
"Awww... He's doing a happy jig!" says Mabel.
“NOOOO! It's a jig a grave danger!” Old Man McGucket says to Mabel.
After saying that, Old Man McGucket said that he saw a monster called Gobblewonker on Scuttlebutt Island and that it damaged his boat, several people laugh and Old Man McGucket's son named Tate McGucket was ashamed of his father, the only ones who didn't laugh. Old Man McGucket's were Stan, Dipper, Mabel, Sunset, and Sunset Pre-Reformed.
“Aww, donkey spittle! Aw, banjo polish!” Old Man McGucket said before walking away.
“Mabel, Sunset and New Sunset, did you hear what that old dude said?” Dipper asked.
“Aww, donkey shpittle!” Mabel said imitating Old Man McGucket's voice.
“The other thing. About the monster. If we can snag a photo of it, we can split the prize fifty-fifty,” says Dipper.
“I think that's better than going fishing,” Sunset Pre-Reformed said.
"That's two fifty!" Mabel said excitedly.
“Imagine what you could do with five. Hundred. Dollars!” Dipper said.
Mabel imagines that she bought a human sized hamster ball with the money and with it she showed off to a hamster and also to boys. Back in reality Dipper and Sunset became concerned as Mabel suddenly looked very dazed.
"Mabel! Mabel?” Dipper asked somewhat concerned.
“Dipper, I am one million percent on board with this!” Mabel said.
Grunkle Stan! Change of plans: we're taking that boat to Scuttebutt Island, and we're gonna find that Gobblewonker!” Dipper said.
“Monster hunt! Monster hunt!” Dipper and Mabel began to say.
Suddenly, Old Man McGucket appeared and joined in what Dipper and Mabel were saying.
“Monster hunt!” said Old Man McGucket joining the chant.
Dipper and Mabel stop singing and stare at Old Man McGucket.
"Monster... Eh...", Old Man McGucket was saying until he realized that everyone was looking at him. "I'll go."
Suddenly they heard the sound of a ship and saw that it was Soos that a motor boat was coming, called S.S. cool dude.
“You dudes say somethin’ about a monster hunt?” Soos asked.
“Soos!” Mabel says happily.
“Wassup, hambone!” Soos said after that Soos and Mabel bumped their fists and then made an explosion sound.
“Dude, you could totally use my boat for you hunt. It's got a steering wheel, chairs; normal boat stuff,” says Soos.
“All right, all right, let's think this through. Ya kids could go waste your time on some epic monster-finding adventure, or you could spend the day learning how to tie knots and skewers worms with your Great Uncle Stan!” Stan said happily.
The twins look at Soos in his boat from him; He does a robot dance. They look back Stan in his leaky old boat. They look at Scuttebutt Island in the distance. They grin at each other.
"So, whaddaya say," says Stan, sure they're going to pick him.
Sunset and Sunset Pre-Reformed hearing what Stan said and seeing Stan's boat and comparing it to Soos's boat, just thought that sometimes Stan didn't know how to negotiate.
The twins and Sunset Pre-Reformed drive off laughing with Soos in his boat towards Scuttlebutt Island, Sunset decided to stay with Stan so he wouldn't be alone so he wouldn't end up doing nonsense.
“We made the right choice!” Mabel said enthusiastically.
“Yes!” Soos replied.
...
While on Stan's boat called the Stan'o'War, Stan decided to talk.
“Thank you! Aw, who needs 'em? I got a whole box of creepy fishing lure to keep me company”, Stan said somewhat annoyed.
"I know you wanted Dipper and Mabel to be here, but that's offensive to the only one who stayed with you," Sunset said somewhat annoyed as she had her unicorn form.
"Sorry about that, but I'm also surprised you chose to be here, because I'm pretty sure you love spending time with Dipper and Mabel more than the other Sunset," Stan said doubtfully.
“For nothing in particular,” Sunset said.
Stan felt many more doubts at Sunset's answer and began to think why Sunset would stay with him.
"Sunset, you still feel guilty for not believing that I had nothing to do with you appearing in Gravity Falls," Stan said, quite sure and serious about what he was saying.
“Yeah, that was the reason, Stan,” Sunset said.
Sunset realized that Stan's boat was called the Stan O' War, realizing this he simply smiled.
...
Later in Gravity Falls, Dipper, Mabel, and Sunset Pre-Reformed headed to Scuttlebutt Island in Soos' boat called the SS. Cool Dude. Dipper explained his plan to photograph the Gobblewonker that he had bought many cameras, but Mabel and Soos for their nonsense ended up getting rid of several of them.
Sunset Pre-Reformed was watching the lake and after she found out about Dipper's plan and that many cameras had been broken because of Mabel and Soos, Sunset Pre-Reformed couldn't help but wonder how Dipper could put up with his sister.
Mabel started playing with a pelican pretending that she was a ventriloquist doll and even tries to follow that game by drinking a glass of water while she talks, but she almost drowns in the water.
"Are you n't supposed to be doing lookout?" Dipper asked Mabel because he left her watching to see if there was anything that could collide with the ship.
“Look out!” Mabel says throws a volley ball to Dipper, hitting him on the arm after she speaks to Dipper. “Heh, heh. But seriously, I'm on it."
Just when Mabel finishes speaking, the boat jolts to a sudden stop having crashed into the shore of the island.
“See? We're here! I'm a lookout genius! Hamster ball, here we come!” Mabel said.
They get off the boat and venture into the forest that was covered in mist. Dipper led the group with a flashlight. The four of them see a sign that says “Scuttlebutt Island”. Soos and Mabel stop in front of the sign.
As Sunet Pre-Reformed noticed something, she immediately picked it up without the others noticing.
“Dude, check it out,” says Soos, covering the part of the sign that says Scuttle, leaving only butt Island.
“Soos, you rapscallion!” Mabel says after speaking to Dipper, “Hey! Why aren't you laughing? Are you scared?”
“Pssh! Yeah right! I'm not—”, Dipper was saying but was interrupted by Mabel.
Mabel continues to pester Dipper causing him to drop his lantern and immediately after a shrew steals it.
After Dipper, Mabel, Sunset Pre-Reformed and Soos heard a kind of roar, Mabel asks Soos if it was his stomach and Soos denies it saying that his stomach makes whale sounds, upon knowing and hearing this Mabel is amazed, but Sunset Pre-Reformed wondered how that was possible.
“Duuude, I dunno, man. Maybe this, uh... Maybe this isn't worth it,” says Soos.
“Not worth it? Guys, imagine what would happen if we got that picture,” says Dipper.
Dipper and Mabel they imagine what to do with the money and decide to continue into the mist to look for the monster, Sunset Pre-Reformed also decides to continue because she only wanted the money. Soos, realizing that she was going to be left alone, decides to follow Dipper, Mabel, and Sunset Pre-Reformed.
...
Then they continued advancing in the fog, to lighten the situation Mabel began to sing and Soos accompanied Mabel's singing with beatboxing sounds.
“My name is Mabel! It rhymes with table! It also rhymes with... glabel! It also rhymes with... shmabel!” Mabel sang.
“Dude, we should be writing this down,” Soos said, opining on Mabel's song.
They heard the growl coming from the mist again and a bunch of birds flew out from that direction, Dipper, Mabel and Sunset Pre-Reformed were happy and went towards that direction.
They continued walking until they saw the silhouette of the lake monster and immediately after seeing that the 4 of them hid behind a trunk of a fallen tree.
“Everyone; Get your cameras ready!” Dipper told Mabel and Soos.
Dipper, Mabel, Sunset Pre-Reformed, and Soos turn on their cameras.
“Ready? Go!” Dipper said.
Dipper, Mabel, Sunset Pre-Reformed, and Soos came out of their hiding places taking random photos as they approached the monster's silhouette, but as they got closer they realized it was a wreck with beavers living on it.
Soos, realizing that they were beavers, continues to happily take pictures of them.
But... but what was that noise, then? I heard a monster noise?” Dipper wondered.
They heard the growl again and saw that the sound came from a beaver biting into a rusty old chainsaw and sometimes managing to turn it on.
“Sweet! Beaver with a chainsaw,” Soos said happily and immediately after she starts taking photos of him.
“That's pretty weird,” Sunset Pre-Reformed said, referring to the beaver with the chainsaw.
Dipper and Mabel were very sad when they realized that they abandoned Stan for nothing.
"Maybe that old guy was crazy after all," says Dipper.
“He did use the world ‘scrapdoodle,’” says Mabel.
Soos was still taking photos of a beaver that was on top of a stump.
“What're we gonna say to Grunkle Stan? We ditched him over nothing,” Dipper said after he felt a tremor. "Hey... guys, do you feel that?"
Sunset Pre-Reformed wasn't sad because even if she had liked the money, it wasn't to her that this trip had been in vain.
Suddenly, everyone saw and heard something in the water and realized it was the Gobblewonker. Dipper was happy to find the Gobblewonker, but Sunset Pre-Reformed, Mabel and Soos began to show a lot of fear on their faces, Dipper realized that and tries to reassure them, he turns to photograph the Gobblewonker, but then Dipper realizes that the Gobblewonker Gobblewonker was in front of him to attack him. Dipper drops the camera in fear and the three start to run away.
“Run!” Soos yells as she keeps running. “Get back to the boat! HURRY!”
Dipper tries to take a picture of the Gobblewonker while he was running but drops the camera. Soos grabs Dipper so he won't go for the camera and be in danger.
“Dude, if it makes you feel any better, I got tons of pictures of those beavers, dude!” Soos told Dipper to reassure him.
“WHY WOULD THAT MAKE ME FEEL BETTER?!” Dipper yelled at Soos in response.
The 4 get on the boat and Soos starts the S.S. Cool Dude and they start running away at full speed from the Gobblewonker, he also loses several cameras because he was scared. Sunset Pre-Reformed didn't carry any cameras and she also felt angry that she didn't currently have her unicorn form so she could use magic to defeat the monster.
While fleeing, Soos cannot avoid colliding where the shipwreck full of beavers was and the beavers that fell on top of the S.S. Cool Dude start to bite everything they can and one of them grabs Soos's face, forcing Sunset Pre-Reformed to drive the boat.
...
Meanwhile Stan was very upset trying to untie a knot on the fishing rod, but when he heard a couple of kids enjoying spending time with his grandpa on a nearby boat he got even angrier. He was going to yell at them, but Sunset stopped him before Stan tried to do anything. Suddenly the S.S. Cool Dude passed very fast causing a wave near them, but Sunset only noticed the wave and used a force field to protect them, unfortunately she didn't realize what caused the wave.
The Gobblewonker rose from the water and immediately launched an attack at Soos' boat. Sunset Pre-Reformed managed to dodge several of the Gobblewonker's attacks, but Sunset Pre-Reformed and Dipper realized that he had cornered them.
“WHERE DO I GO?!” Mabel asked realizing that she was at a dead end.
Dipper immediately starts flipping through Journal 3 and finds something.
“Um... uh... GO INTO THE FALLS! I think there might be a cave behind there!” says Dipper.
“MIGHT BE?!” Sunset and Mabel yelled at the same time.
Sunset Pre-Reformed had no choice and went through the waterfall where there was a cave. Her boat hits the shore, damaging him a lot, causing everyone to fall to the ground, this made the beaver that was holding Soos's face fall off at last.
Gobblewonker was going to attack them but got stuck at the entrance of the cave.
“It’s stuck!” Mabel said happily.
"Haha! Yeah! Wait... It's stuck?" Dipper said
Dipper realizing that the Gobblewonker was stuck immediately began looking for a camera, while checking his pockets he felt that he had a stone in his pockets, but could not find a camera, until Mabel showed Dipper where he had a camera and Sunset Pre- Reformed also found a camera.
Dipper started taking a bunch of photos of the Gobblewonker. Dipper, Sunset Pre-Reformed and Mabel were happy because they were sure they were going to win the photo contest, but suddenly a huge rock fell right on the head of the Gobblewonker and the creature. falls making an electric sound.
Dipper and Sunset Pre-Reformed upon hearing this approached the Gobblewonker. When he touched it, he realized that it was made of metal.
“Careful, dude!” Soos said worriedly.
“I've got this! Hold on!” Dipper said after he climbed on the Gobblewonker and looks the other way. "Hey guys! Come check this out!”
“Don't worry, there's no danger anymore,” Sunset Pre-Reformed said.
Mabel and Soos went to see what Dipper and Sunset Pre-Reformed was referring to and see a door. They open it and there they find Old Man McGucket piloting the Gobblewonker.
“Work the bellows and the... Huh? Aww, banjo polish,” Old Man McGucket said, realizing he had been found out.
“Wha- Yo- You?! You made this? W-w-why?” Dipper asked.
“We need answers,” said Sunset Pre-Reformed somewhat surprised that Old Man McGucket.
“Well, I… I, uh… I just wanted attention,” said Old Man McGucket.
"I still don't understand," said Dipper doubtfully.
Sunset Pre-Reformed wondered the same thing as Dipper.
“Well, first I just hootenannied up a biomechanical brain wave generator, and then I learned to operate a stick-shift with ma beard!”, he began to explain Old Man McGucket.
“Okay, yeah. But why did you do it?” Mabel asked.
“Well, when you get to be an old fella like me, nobody pays any attention to you anymore. My own son hasn't visited me in months! So I figured maybe I'd catch his fancy with a fifteen ton aquatic robut!” said Old Man McGucket. “In retrospect, it seems a bit contrived. You just don't know the length us old-timers go through for a little quality time with our family.”
Upon hearing this, Dipper and Mabel feel very guilty for leaving Stan alone.
"Hesitate. I guess the real lake monster is you two. Heh heh! Sorry, that just like--boom--just popped into my head there,” Soos said.
“So, did you ever talk to your son about how you felt?” Mabel asked.
“No, sir, I got to work straight on the robut! (A projector shows blueprints for the Gobblewonker on the trapdoor) I made lots of robuts in my day! Like when my wife left me and I created a homicidal pterodactyl-tron, or when my pal Ernie didn't come to my retirement party and I built an eighty ton SHAME BOT THAT EXPLODED THE ENTIRE DOWNTOWN AREA! Well, time to get back to work on my death ray!” Old Man McGucket said as he re-entered the robot, then asks. “Any of you kids got a screwdriver?”
“Well so much for the photo contest,” Dipper says, feeling awful for leaving Stan alone.
“We can go back to Stan and then go to the photo contest,” Sunset Pre-Reformed said, holding up the camera, but he noticed that no one was paying attention.
“You still have one roll of film left,” said Mabel.
“Whaddaya wanna do with it?” Dipper said.
Sunset Pre-Reformed, realizing that no one present was interested in the photo contest, decided to submit the photos by herself.
...
After Dipper, Mabel, Sunset Pre-Reformed and Soos spent the rest of the day with Stan with many happy moments, Soos was amused by jokes from the book called 1001Yuk 'Em Ups.
After a while when everyone goes home. Sunset approached the Sunset Pre-Reformed.
“Sunset, why did Dipper and Mabel go back to Stan?” Sunset asked.
"The creature was a robot made by that crazy old man who warned about that creature and they both realized that Stan wanted to spend time with them," Sunset Pre-Reformed said.
Sunset realized that it seemed Sunset Pre-Reformed enjoy spending time with Dipper and Mabel.
Suddenly something shook the boat and everyone had doubts that it was the cause of the shaking.
“What was that?” Dipper asks.
“It shouldn't be anything,” Sunset says.
Underwater the cameras that had the photos of the Gobblewonker were sinking, suddenly the real Gobblewonker appears and eats the cameras.
...
Later in the Mystery Shack, before going to sleep, the Sunset Pre-Reformed realized that the jolt they felt in Stan's boat caused him to drop the photos of the Gobblewonker that Dipper and she had taken.
Sunset Pre-Reformed felt angry, but she quickly calmed down because she remembered that she had something important to check. She pulled out what she had found on Scuttlebutt Island, hoping what the Entity that was in Gravity Falls said was true and that she had been searching for it.
She with the mist on Scuttlebutt Island she couldn't quite see what it was when she put it away and when she came out of the mist she didn't have time on her own to see it, but she was sure it was something gold and metallic.
Sunset Pre-Reformed took out what she found, looking at it she couldn't help but feel a little disappointed, but at the same time she confirmed what the Entity said was true. What she found was not a crown as she expected, but a necklace. Also instead of having a magenta six-pointed star crystal, she had a pink butterfly-shaped crystal.
“At least this confirms what the Entity said that there is that crown in this city, I just have to find that crown and wait to return to my world,” the Sunset Pre-Reformed said to herself.
...
The Entity was looking at the Sunset Pre-Reformed and couldn't help but feel a little laugh because she was looking for that crown in Gravity Falls knowing that what happened in Canterlot Hight could end in the same way.
"Though there's no way for her to know that's going to happen," the Entity said to himself.
She began to remember that Sunset didn't say anything to the Sunset Pre-Reformed which made her change her attitude because she didn't trust her, she didn't want to remember it either and finally she didn't want anyone in Gravity Falls will find out what happened at Canterlot High, even though Stan already She had told him before she decided that and Sunset asked Stan not to tell anyone.
"All these future problems would be avoided if Sunset decided to tell him what happened," the Entity said.
The Entity figured if we counted the necklace that Sunset Pre-Reformed found, 3 out of 6 have been found.
