One afternoon twilight was heading back to the library, when a store caught eye.
With twilight's curiosity taking over, twilight gose to the display window outside the store.
What twilight sees are different types of clothing like dresses for mares and tuxedos for stallions.
With not much clothing in the display, twilight gose inside the store to see what other clothing they had.
Inside twilight gose to look at some aisles, some aisles had pants some had dresses other tuxedos
Then after a while twilight gets to the aisle with the socks, twilight then starts to look at all the different socks, there were short socks, tall socks, stripped socks, socks with designs and plain socks.
Twilight then spots some purple and pink stripped socks in stock, but thinks if it's a good idea to buy socks which gets her thinking " what if my friends catch me wearing socks and laugh at me"..
But twilight think on how worm and comfortable they will be on hooves when she's laying down reading late at night, when someone taps her shoulder it snaps her out of her thoughts, thinking back on how her friends might laugh at her she decides to leave and go the library to do some reading,
When twilight gets home she knocks on the door and calls out spikes name, spike then opens the door and says hi.
Twilight then gose to get a book and starts reading, after a while spike call twilight for dinner.
Twilight gets up and gose to the table to eat dinner with spike.
Twilight sees what spike made for her and sees some daisy sandwiches, and sees some gems in a bowl for him self.
While twilight was eating the thought of what happened at the store come back which made her space out, spike noticed this and twilight asked whats wrong, this knocks twilight out of her thoughts and says nothing is wrong.
He says ok and gose back to eating his bowl of gems.
After eating dinner twilight gose back to reading some more, some hours pass and twilight gets those thoughts again.
Twilight then decides if its a good idea to tell one of her friends about it, she then decides to tell one of her friends before it affects her socal life.
Twilight thinks on who to tell" applejack wouldn't know anything on clothing so she tell her to go to rarity for help", " then rarity would keep on talking on what to watch out when buying clothing, " rainbow dash would just laugh and say its lame"," pinky would probably throw a party about it", "and fluttershy would be shy to discuss this with".
Twilight stats to re count her options and finds that asking fluttershy for help would be the best idea.
With that twilight puts the book back where it belongs and gose upstairs to get ready for bed.
Once twilight is ready she gets on her bed and gose to sleep.
The next morning twilight wakes up look and notices spike is not sleeping, twilight then smells something down stairs and thinks it might be spike making breakfast.
With that she gets ready and gose down stairs to eat breakfast before going to fluttershys, the more closer she gets to the table the she gets hungry.
When she gets to the table she sees that spike is making pancakes, she tells spike how good they smell, which he in return says thank you.
Twilight sees a plate with a stack of pancakes and gets up to get three out of the stack and puts it in her plate, once she gets back to the table she gets the syrup pours it on her pancakes.
Twilight then opens her muzzle and puts some of pancakes in her muzzle, once she tastes the pancakes she thanks spike another time, which in return again says thank you.
When twilight is finished with her breakfast she remembered that she was going to fluttershys to talk about something important, then looks at the clock and notices that its 8 o'clock.
With that she gets up and tells spike she going to fluttershys for a couple of hours and tells him to take care of the library while she's gone.
With that she head to fluttershys house, 30 minutes twilight reaches fluttershys house
She then knocks, fluttershy asks who it is, twilight tells her to open the door she wants to talk about something.
Fluttershy opens the door after she recognized who it was.
Once the door to fluttershys house open she is greeted by her friend fluttershy, then gose inside.
When twilight gose inside fluttershy lead her to the sofa to take a seat, fluttershy then sets the coffee table and purs some tea for the both of them
Fluttershy asks twilight what she wanted to talk about.
Twilight tells fluttershy about how a store caught her eye and how she want inside and got interested in buying socks.
Fluttershy hears twilight story and tells her to do what you hart desires.
Twilight tells how embarrassed she is to wear around other ponies, and how the girls might laugh at her her for having socks.
Fluttershy then tells twilight that they won't laugh at her and tells her to wate and gose upstairs, a moment later fluttershy comes downstairs wearing a pair of white and red stripped socks.
Twilight is shocked to see fluttershy wearing socks then asked when she started wearing socks.
Fluttershy tells her she been wearing socks for a while know, twilight is surprised how long shes kept a secret.
And tells fluttershy on how she is not embarrassed on wearing socks around her, fluttershy tells her that there nothing to be embarrassed about wearing socks and to think of it as wearing nomal clothing.
So to not be embarrassed by wearing socks I think of it as wearing nomal clothes, yes exactly.
Twilight then tells fluttershy if she should only buy one pair of socks or buy multiple pairs, fluttershy tells her to buy multiple if she is planning to use them daily.
Twilight looks at the clock and noticed that it is 10:30," has two hours really passed" time Flys when you least expect it with that she bids farewell to fluttershy.
With the help of fluttershy she head into town to go to the store.
When twilight finally gets to the store she gose inside, once inside twilight gose to find a store clerk , once she finds somepony she ask them to show her where the stripped socks are located.
The store clerk then takes twilight to where all the stripped socks are located.
Once twilight gets to where the stripped socks are she tells the store clerk that's all , with that twilight starts to look at all stripped socks to choose form, then finds the purple and pink ones from yesterday.
Twilight thinks if she should buy multiple of the same pair or buy multiple but different pairs," if I buy multiple of the same pair it would look like I wear the same socks everyday "," but If I by multiple socks but different pairs nopony would would think i wear the same socks everyday" , twilight then decides to multiple but different pairs of socks.
With one pair already picked out she picks out 5 more pair, she keeps on look at the different stripped socks, then decides to get one with white and blue, white and black, purple and white, black and purple and lastly blue and black.
Twilight then gose to the counter the pay for the pairs of socks, the store cashier rounds up the total then tells twilight that it will be 120 bits.
Twilight opens her bit bag, takes out 120 bit and gives it to the cashier.
The cashier put the money in the cash register and the 6 pairs of stripped socks in a bag.
Twilight then levitateds the bag and heads to the library, when twilight gets home she knocks tell spike know that she's back.
He welcomes twilight home and tells her how well everything went when she was gone, spike then notices the bag twilight is levitating and asks what it is.
Twilight is hesitant to show spike, but then remembered that fluttershy told her to not be embarrassed to wear them that to pretend that there nomal clothing to feel more comfortable around other ponies.
With that twilight shows spike the stripped socks she bought, spike not knowing what they are ask twilight what there for, twilight then tells him that they are for keeping ponies hooves worm amd comfortable when its cold.
Spike ask twilight why she wanted to buy socks.
"because i want to fell comfortable when I'm reading".
Twilight then tells spike that she's going to read for a while.
" ok ill tell you when lunch is ready ".
With that twilight starts to open the purple and pink stripped socks,once the socks are open twilight starts to put one on her left foreleg,she has trouble putting it on so she dose it slow , not wanting to mess up dose the right one slow as well , next she dose her hindlegs first she dose the left one slowly then the right one slowy.
With the stripped socks now on she feels how worm and comfortable these socks are and gets ready to read.
When twilight is done reading spike comes to tell her that it's time for lunch, spike noticed that twilight is wearing the socks and compliments how good they look on her, twilight thanks him gose to the table to have lunch.
