One day, Glitter Bright and Glowing Mist were having an important conversation.
"Shiny's Dad," Glowing Mist said, "is Flower and Bluebob coming today or tomorrow? What did they tell you about coming here in phone? Oh! And.... by the way, where is Shiny?"
Glitter Bright replied thoughtfully, "Shiny's Mom, I think Shiny is in the Summer Special 'Hot Room'!"
Glitter Bright continued, smilingly, "You know, Shiny's Mom, Shiny is always nervous before somepony comes to stay in our house for a few days. I am going to bring Shiny here and then tell you the news, OK? Please wait a minute. I am going to bring Shiny."
Glitter Bright went to the Summer Special 'Hot Room' and found Asterisk there. It seemed as if Asterisk was busy creating a spell.
On seeing her Father enter the room, Asterisk understood that he had something good to tell her.
Asterisk said happily, "Dad! I am making something for you and Mom!"
"OK, Shiny, what is it?" Glitter Bright asked.
Asterisk said, "It's a gift for your anniversary, a surprise gift!"
"Shiny, would you please come here for a while? We have got to tell you a surprising good news. You will be most excited to hear it! By the way, are you creating a spell?"
"Yes! I have already made your gift a few minutes ago. Now, I am creating a spell. OK, Dad, what is the good news?"
"No, Shiny, it's a surprise. I will tell you only when you come here." said Glitter Bright, with a mysterious smile.
"OK, Dad, I am coming there soon." Asterisk replied obediently.
After creating the spell, Asterisk put down the paper and pencil and teleported herself to the room where she had been asked to go to.
"Shiny, weren't you in the Summer Special 'Hot Room'?" Glowing Mist asked Asterisk, laughing.
"Yes Mom, I was there doing something!"
Glitter Bright, then asked Asterisk, "OK, now, Shiny, do you want to hear the good news?"
"Yes, Dad, what is it?"
"Shiny, your aunt Flower Magic and her son or your cousin, Dynamic Flight is coming today and they will stay here for a week or two. And, of course, the most important thing is that you must stay smart and nice and you must not hate Dynamic Flight."
"Weeeeee!!!!!!" Asterisk cheered. She started jumping out of excitement. "They will come! And for the fourth time and will stay for a week or two! What fun!"
"Remember, Shiny, you will be seeing them for the fourth time. Once again, I remind you, do stay smart and nice." Glitter Bright reminded Asterisk, remembering the times when Asterisk did some awful things, just because of excitement.
"What fun! What fun! What Fun!!!!!! Did my aunt call you? I promise to stay smart and nice! And I won't hate Dynamic Flight." Asterisk continued jumping.
"OK, now, Shiny, remember that we are going out today. You are growing up now. And this is the first time we are going out while somepony is coming here. It's the first time we are leaving you with them. And again we remind you, Shiny, be smart and nice and don't hate Dynamic Flight." Glitter Bright replied, worrying about being late.
"Do you know how Dynamic Flight feels when you hate him? He may not tell you anything, but he may tell your aunt and uncle about it." Glowing Mist told Asterisk.
"OK, Shiny's Dad, we have to get ready now. Bye Shiny, we are going out now." Glowing Mist said.
"Bye Mom! Bye Dad!" Asterisk said to her Parents.
"OK, now, Shiny, do you promise to stay smart and nice? Don't be so excited anymore." Glitter Bright said.
Glitter Bright and Glowing Mist were just about to leave after they reminded Asterisk to stay smart and nice again and again.
"Bye Shiny!" said Glowing Mist.
"Bye Shiny!" said Glitter Bright.
Soon Asterisk’s Parents left and Asterisk heard a knock on the door.
"It seems.... like they have come now? I can hear somepony knocking on the door." Asterisk whispered, feeling the silence around her after her Parents left.
Before leaving, Asterisk’s Parents opened the door to see Flower Magic and Dynamic Flight.
Soon Flower Magic came upstairs to see Asterisk. Dynamic, being very shy, hid behind Flower Magic.
"Oh, Hello Shiny!" Flower Magic greeted Asterisk.
"Hi, Auntie! How are you?" Asterisk greeted back.
"We are fine! Nice to see you again! Do you know that we will stay in your house for a week or two?"
"Yes, I know! I am so happy to see you!"
"Shiny!!!!!!" Flower Magic said, acting to love Asterisk a lot, "So nice to see you! I love you so much that I can't even wait to see you! I am so excited to see you! While we were on the way to your house, I was thinking all about you! See, Bluebob, how nice is Shiny now!"
"Well, come on, Auntie and D.F., this is the living room. Come on!" Asterisk called them to the living room.
"H-How it feels like to be the only pegasus! Yuck!" Dynamic said, feeling embarrassed about himself, all of a sudden.
"Come on!" Asterisk continued calling them.
But Flower Magic and Dynamic Flight did not go to the living room with Asterisk because Flower Magic had some plans for Asterisk.
"Now, Bluebob, can you keep something as a secret from Shiny and her Parents?" Flower Magic asked Dynamic, suspiciously.
"I don't think I can, Mom!"
"But if you can't keep it as a secret, you should go to Shiny. Because she is waiting on the sofa for us! You go there and tell her that I am coming soon."
"But, Mom, I want to see what you do. When you ask me to go there, I will go there."
"OK, then, let's do that. Just see."
"I guess you don't know what is this 'Magic Term' called. See what I do. First, I make a heart with my magic. Then, I draw stripes in it with magic and now it's glowing. It's all MAGIC! And now, it's floating and flying in the air. And I should not forget the magic sparkles. Or else, the spell won't be so effective." Flower Magic said as she proceeded with the magic heart.
"Now, I'm going to do the main thing. It's time for you to go to Shiny now. This is the part you should not see, if you can't keep it as a secret. If you don't go from here, I can't do the rest of the spell, I can't continue." Flower Magic added.
Dynamic became a bit confused. He asked, "But Mom, why are you hiding it from me?"
"It's a thing to hide from everypony! The spell will not work if the next part of the spell is revealed to anypony!" Flower Magic replied impatiently.
Dynamic had no other option than to go to Shiny. "OK, Mom, I am going." he said.
As soon as Dynamic left, Flower Magic’s real magic turned black and the ordinary white magic sparkles turned green. A black and green ray of magic came from Flower Magic’s horn and turned the magic heart black and green. Then, Flower Magic put a spell on the magic heart, turned the black and green heart to its original colour, that is, various shades of magenta with white sparkles and decided to give the magic heart to Asterisk as a gift. However, Flower Magic, being not so good in nature, did not really like Asterisk but acted as if she loved her. So Flower Magic had created the magic heart and put a spell on it so as to cause Asterisk to lose her magic.
