//------------------------------// // Chapter 33 // Story: I Love the Star in You // by Twilyx360 //------------------------------// As night fell they took the six figures and put them on a shelf in their bedroom. And for tonight they decided to read a different book. Their own. The handbook that detailed their research and adventures. It was very fulfilling. To see all their accomplishments laid out before them. And the best part, they did it all together as a team. They kept reading until they drifted off to sleep. Another two months passed. And the couple was happier than ever now. Ever since they built the apparatus they largely kept things simple. Argyle Starshine & Shining Star had officially been together for five whole years by now. And would be six in ten more months. And as the Summer of that year came to a close. They started working on a gift for each other in secret. This would be the result of their lives together and staying together in the oppressive world. And the thought of it made their eyes come to tears sometimes. But the thought was also equally overwhelming. As they weren’t exactly sure what would happen if they actually went through with this. Shining had gotten a slab of wood and carved it into two medallions of some kind. Next she drew a six pointed star on the wood and cut out the shape. It was Twilight’s cutie mark. And finally she put a ribbon around the two medallions turning them into a necklace. She smiled at her work. Now the question stood. When would she give one of these to Argyle. And would she be able to say what she wanted to? === Over the next two months. The two were able to make a short return to Bridlewood and Zephyr Heights. Thankfully this time things went much better than before. Making the same disguises as before without any trouble at all. They were both relieved and happy to know that the second time they had gone to the beautiful, towering, metropolis of Zephyr Heights and the serene, quiet, forest of Bridlewood. And upon their return things had only gotten better and exciting for them. Shining Star even officially came out of her shell and participated in the Maretime Bay nightmare night festivities. And after a peaceful harvest & hugs day. The winter wishday season had arrived again. And Shining ultimately decided that this was it. It was now or never to give the love of her life the one and only gift that mattered more than all the rest. All of these thoughts occupied Shining’s mind ever since the Summer ended. What would they still do this? Would it even matter in the end? And would he say yes? “Love? Are you ok?” Asked Argyle. “Yeah.” Said Shining. “You sure? I don’t mean to be intrusive but you seemed moody lately. Like you’ve been keeping something in. Is it true?” Asked Argyle. Shining sighed. And she figured out a way she could say it without giving it away. But Argyle had a point, she wasn’t really eating or sleeping like she used to. And now it was only going to get worse as winter wishday approached. “Hun. Let’s just say there’s a very special gift for you this year. And I really hope you like it… And I want to keep it a surprise.” Said Shining. “I see. I was just worried. I want to be able to help you whenever I can.” Said Argyle. “I know dear. And you really have trust in me. I loved our trips back to Bridlewood and Zephyr Heights. I hope my ‘moody-ness’ didn’t ruin it.” Said Shining hugging him. “Hey I believe you. And well you planned it too Shining. So if you didn’t enjoy the trips you wouldn’t have planned them right?” Said Argyle. Shining smiled. “Yeah. And well. I would’ve told you. And I want to go back again someday.” “Of course, love.” Argyle smiled back. And the two sat down and watched a movie.
