Starlight’s Dimensional Drama

Anything Yukon Do I Can Do Better Part 2

At this point, Starlight knew that Chris McLean was just lazy.

Originally he was supposed to drive the snowmobile to check on the contestants at the meeting points but nooooooooooooo, he needed to refill his cocoa, so Starlight was stuck with doing his job.

She supposed she couldn’t really complain, this task was at least bearable and her fur made it so she wasn’t suffering.

All she knew right now was that DJ was pulling the sled for Leshawna, Courtney was pulling for Heather, and finally Tyler was pulling for Izzy who was covered in toxic waste. Honestly, that girl might be more insane than Pinkie Pie.

She followed the path of the meeting posts, so far she just passed Gwen who seemed to be doing fairly well for herself, after that she passed by Cody and Sierra, with the former looking quite frosty at the moment. She really did not envy Cody right now. So far, nothing of note happened that Starlight really needed to interfere in so she let things go by.

Little did Starlight know, she was in for quite a surprise.

Alejandro was just cruising through this challenge effortlessly right now. He was pretty much flirting with Bridgette and helping her during the challenge to increase Bridgette’s trust in him and she was foolishly falling into his temptations which was very good for him. Right now, he had just given her his shirt to “keep her warm”.

’Ha, such a cliche romance tactic, which is perfect for this girl.’

Though as Alejandro was scouting the field for his team, he had something on his mind.

That unicorn Starlight Glimmer was a very interesting creature. After all, unicorns aren’t exactly common in Earth. He was not exactly worried about Starlight interfering with his gameplay, the best she could do was interact with the players, and even then, she had to keep their secrets but he got the feeling that there was more to this unicorn than he knew of.

He then spotted his teammates heading over to the meeting point. Excellent, now to finish what he started.

“I guess this is my ride, but… I can’t leave you all alone.” Alejandro said, pretending to be devastated.

“Go on.” Bridgette smiled longingly as she handed him back his shirt, “I’ll race you to the finish.”

“I think we got enough time for one more accident.” Alejandro smirked seductively.

Bridgette seemed reluctant but she began leaning in as Alejandro looked at the pole behind him with a smirk.

Hook, line, sinker.

Heather was glad to finally have picked up all her teammates, not because she enjoyed their company or anything but now they had a good chance of winning the challenge. Though there was something else she needed to get off her chest.

Starlight was definitely an odd case to the Queen Bee, she suddenly came from another dimension out of nowhere and based on what the unicorn told them, Equestria was a dimension full of ponies ruled by four alicorns.

Heather honestly couldn’t believe how incompetent those so-called princesses were if they were able to let Starlight get banished to this dimension but it did get her thinking, some sort of villain banished Starlight here and who’s to say it would be the last unexpected surprise this show would bring.

“Hey Amazons, listen up!” Heather commanded angrily getting her whole team’s attention, “I’ve been having some concerns given the whole Starlight situation. If she was able to come to our dimension all of a sudden, then what are the chances another unexpected surprise comes here?”

“Uh… given what Starlight said, she was likely the only victim of this attack.” Gwen rolled her eyes.

“Whatever, I’m just telling you all to be on high alert from now on because we are not going to be held back in challenges because of some voodoo nonsense.” Heather scoffed.

To say Starlight was surprised when she found Bridgette’s tongue stuck to a pole was putting it lightly. She immediately stopped her snowmobile and spoke in concern, “Whoa. How the heck did this happen?”

“I was kissing Alejandro, and somehow the pole got in the way.” Bridgette explained, but her voice was muffled due to the pole.

“Sorry, but I cannot understand a word you’re saying.” Starlight sighed sadly.

Suddenly Starlight heard Chris’ voice through her earpiece, “Starlight, we haven’t had a song yet. I need you to get Bridgette to sing.”

“Right now?! Are you serious?!” Starlight asked incredulously, “I can’t even understand what she’s saying!”

“I never said the song had to be good.” Chris said uncaringly from the earpiece.

Starlight grumbled before taking out a remote Chris gave her and pressed a button releasing a musical chime.

“Just start singing.” Starlight sighed.

(Song begins: Stuck To A Pole by Bridgette)

The strings of my heart are a tangled mess!

It's beating so hard, it's jumping outta my chest!

I tried to fit two men in my soul!

Oooh, soul!

I ended up stuck to a pole!” Bridgette sang in dismay, before continuing,
I got stuck! Should've ducked! Worst of luck! Stuck, stuck to a pole!

I fell for every little thing that he said!

And when I closed my eyes, he jumped on a sled!

He's moved on, I'm still stuck in this place!

Would somebody pour warm water down my face?!?” Bridgette begged fruitlessly.

I got stuck! Should've ducked! Worst of luck! Stuck, stuck to a pole!

Stuck, stuck, stuck to a pole!” Bridgette finished in despair.

(Song Ends)

Starlight clapped her hooves with an awkward smile, “Great job Bridgette. I did not understand any of that song but I know you poured your heart into it.”

“I mean it. Pour water on my face.” Bridgette begged through the pole.

Starlight looked at the water bottle she had, while the water would certainly help Bridgette’s situation, she couldn’t exactly interfere with challenges.

“I’d love to help you, but I can’t interfere in challenges unless it’s a life or death situation and in your case… you’re pretty much not at risk.” Starlight sighed miserably, “I’ll tell Chris where to find you if you’re not out of this.”

Starlight then drove the snowmobile off, looking guiltily at Bridgette’s saddened gaze. She felt bad but what else could she do?

As expected, Team Victory ended up losing the challenge thanks to Bridgette being stuck to a pole and being left behind. First class ended up going to Team Chris due to Owen and Tyler getting the sled to speed up enough to get first place.

Starlight eventually did use hot water to get the pole off of Bridgette but her tongue was still frozen and no one could really understand her which was sad, but at least the pole was gone.

Starlight was now at the elimination ceremony room where Team Victory all sat, Chris told her that Starlight needed to be present for elimination ceremonies to increase ratings. Her job was to explain to contestants why they might be getting eliminated for dramatic tension using the information Chris gave her.

“I have peanut filled barf bags for the three of you who get to stay. And now Starlight will explain to you all why you could be leaving today.”
Chris smirked.

“Okay…” Starlight gulped before reading off the information given to her on her script, “Leshawna, you could be on the chopping block tonight for your plan to have your teammates run to the finish line instead of stopping at every meeting point. Given what happened today, that plan did not work.”

“Hey, don’t get up in my case. Bridgette’s the one who kissed a pole!” Leshawna scoffed angrily.

“Funny you mention that actually.” Starlight awkwardly smiled at the Soul Sista before turning to Bridgette, “Bridgette, you basically spent yourself stuck to a pole instead of getting to the finish line, costing your team the win.”

Bridgette looked dejected but couldn’t seem to argue with what Starlight was saying.

“DJ, from what I heard, you cried so much that your tears froze your eyes shut.” Starlight said, a little weirded out by that to which DJ just looked ashamed, his eyes still frozen shut.

“Okay, now that you all know why you could be eliminated. Barf bags go to Lindsay and Leshawna.” Chris said happily, passing barf bags to both ladies before giving a mischievous grin to both DJ and Bridgette.

“The last one safe is DJ.” Chris said as he threw the bag to DJ.

“I’m not cursed!” DJ cheered before realizing how that sounded and turned to Bridgette, “I mean… sorry Bridgette.”

Bridgette then began walking towards the exit before Chris spoke up, “Bridgette? Any final words?”

“Yes. Alejandro. He’s evil. He’s pretending to be-“ Bridgette began with her voice still muffled before Chris got bored and tossed Bridgette the parachute, causing her to fall out the plane much to Starlight’s concern.

“Is she going to be okay?” Starlight asked the host.

“Relax. She caught it. She can strap it on.” Chris waved off her concerns, though it did little to help Starlight.

“Do any of you have any idea what she was saying?” Starlight asked the Victory members who shrugged.

“No idea girl. I can hardly understand her.” Leshawna admitted.

“Just checking.” Starlight sighed before walking off, feeling something wasn’t right about Bridgette’s elimination. Why did she get stuck to that pole?

She soon found herself running into Alejandro who smiled politely at the unicorn.

“Ah, Starlight. How was your task of hosting the elimination ceremony?” Alejandro asked curiously.

“It went fine for my first time.” Starlight shrugged dismissively.

“Am I allowed to ask who was eliminated tonight?” Alejandro asked curiously.

Starlight found no reason not to, Chris didn’t have any rules against talking about who got eliminated.

“Bridgette was voted out.” Starlight told the Spaniard.

“Ah yes. Her tongue got stuck to a pole. She accidentally slipped and she fell into it, getting her tongue caught in the process.” Alejandro nodded solemnly, “I tried to help her but I had to win the challenge for my team.”

”I see. That explains what happened. I’m heading to economy class. Congratulations on winning the challenge.” Starlight began walking off and once she was out of sight, Alejandro smirked.

“Congratulations indeed.” Alejandro snickered to himself.
