The following day I slowly opened my eyes to see Flurry hearts wing wrapped around my body, I was surprised to see her. I thought that I wouldn't see her until later today, but I felt happy seeing Flurry Heart snuggled up against me, her warm wings wrapped around my body.
I didn't want to disturb her peaceful sleep, so I carefully got out of bed to look out the window, it was still early and the sun wasn't even up yet. I began to walk back to the bed wanting to catch some extra sleep. As I crawled back into bed, including back up with Flurry as I did Flurry began to wrap her wing around me again
We lay there together, wrapped up in each other's embrace, enjoying the warmth and comfort of being close to one another. Flurry's breathing was slow and steady, her chest rising and falling gently with each breath. I couldn't help but smile as I watched her sleep, feeling grateful for the time we were able to spend together. After a little bit of time, I slowly fell asleep. a few moments later Rainbow Dash woke me up
"Hey there, sleepyhead! Time to get up and start the day!" Rainbow Dash said with a grin, gently shaking me awake
I let out a yawn stretching my legs "I'm up I'm up"
Still half asleep, I stroud up waking myself up before changing my form again to make myself look like a pony again
Rainbow Dash noticed the change in my appearance and raised an eyebrow. "What's with the disguise?" she asked curiously.
"I don't want to cause a panic among the other ponies," I replied. "I figured it would be best to blend in while I'm here."
Rainbow Dash nodded in understanding. "Good call," she said. "But just so you know, there are some ponies who are pretty open-minded around here. They might not freak out as much as you think."
“Maybe, but I just want to look like a pony a least until the race”
Rainbow Dash grinned. "Speaking of the race, are you ready for it?" she said having a smirk on her face,
“Of course I am,” I said feeling confident in myself “Why feeling nervous” Rainbow rolled her eyes as she said “Come on Twilight and Flurry are waiting downstairs”, I nodded my head as I followed Rainbow out of the room.
As we made our way downstairs, I could hear the sounds of chatter and excitement coming from the main hall. When we entered the room, I saw Twilight and Flurry Heart waiting for us. Flurry had a big smile on her face, and Twilight looked eager to see the race as well.
"Hey, Zack!" Flurry said excitedly, giving me a hug. " I am so excited to see you two race"
Twilight nod her head agreeing with Flurry
I smiled back at them both, feeling grateful for their support. "Thanks, I appreciate it," I said. "I'm excited to see what I can do too."
Rainbow Dash grinned. "Alright, let's not keep them waiting any longer. It's time to show them what we've got!" she said, pumping her hoof in the air.
I followed Rainbow outside towards the cannon where we were having our race but as we got closer to the canon I started to hear a large crowd
As we approached the cannon, I was taken aback by the sight of the large crowd gathered around it. I didn't expect so many ponies to be there to watch the race,
As I looked up at the crowd I started to get a bit nervous
Rainbow Dash could sense my nervousness as I looked up at the crowd. "Hey, don't worry about it," she said reassuringly. "You've got this, and besides, the crowd is here to cheer you on!"
I nodded, trying to calm my nerves. But I still felt like I was standing out like a sore thumb. Rainbow Dash could sense my hesitation and said, "You know, you don't have to keep up the disguise if you don't want to. You're with friends, and the other ponies here are pretty accepting. Plus, I think it would be pretty cool to show off your true changeling form."
I hesitated, unsure of what to do. But then I looked at Flurry and Twilight, who both nodded in agreement with Rainbow Dash. Finally, I made a decision. "Okay," I said, taking a deep breath. "Here goes nothing."
With that, I concentrated, feeling my body shift and change. My disguise melted away, and my true changeling form was revealed. The crowd gasped before that all fell quiet as a few of the ponies start to mutter amongst them selfs, then one pony yelled at me saying "Go back to your hive".
As soon as I heard the word "hive," a flood of memories came rushing back to me
The memory was back to when I was a baby just hatched out of my egg when I saw a tall changeling I remembered that I said “Mama” The tall changeling came over to me saying “You are different from my other changelings you eyes and wings are, I think I heard of this before. He will be very useful when I take all the love of those ponies, With a powerful changeling” as this was happening twilight stepped in front me to confront the crowd as she said "every pony quite"
I was jolted out of my memories by Twilight's commanding voice she continued
“I understand that a lot of you may not see Changeling as good expertly how he looks but we shouldn’t be so fast to judge I have spent time with him, and I can tell you that he is a kind, loving and caring changeling and not somepony who would attack anypony. ”
Twilight's words seemed to have an effect on the ponies in the crowd, as some of them looked less hostile toward me. Rainbow Dash, who was standing beside me, gave me a pat on the back and whispered "See? I told you she's got your back."
I smiled gratefully at her before turning my attention back to Twilight who was now addressing the crowd again. "I know that some of you may still have reservations, but I urge you to give him a chance. He's not here to cause any trouble, he just wants to race and have some fun."
The crowd seemed to be slowly coming around as Twilight's words sunk in.
Rainbow Dash looked at me “So you ready to start the race” I nodded my head as we go along the starting line twilight start to count down or us to start another memory came into my head showing a room with the queen taking love from another changeling,
Once I shook my head, I saw that Rainbow was already ahead of me by a long shot so I quickly took off moving faster than I have ever before and as a caught back up with rainbow dash another memory came of me flying towards the empire. Suddenly rainbow dash spoke loudly shaking me out of my head “LOOK OUT”,
Rainbow said I shook my head back to focus on the race as Rainbow Dash tried to steer me away from a tree. I could hear the crowd of ponies cheering for me and somepony booing at me for passing the captain of the wonderbolts. As rainbow Dash continued to steer me away from the tree but it was too late.
I hit the tree face first and was starting to fall out from the sky. Rainbow Dash immediately went into action and dove down to save me. And before I hit the ground rainbow quickly caught me, and she brings me to the finish line, as I tried to keep my eyes open. Flurry rushed over to me trying to say something but I couldn’t understand what she was saying before suddenly everything went black
