Loud footsteps can be heard from the castle’s hallway, getting louder with each step, as the unknown creature is making its way to the baby princess’s room.
“W-w-w-w-w-w-what’s… th-th-th-th-that… ?!” Rainbow Dash said, shivering from sheer fear and terror.
Sombra sighs, then says, “I don’t know… .” He then eventually stands up before saying; “but if anything’s gonna hurt y’all, then they’re gonna have to go through me… .” Sombra then got into a battle ready stance, determination in his face. The infant fillies look up to him in awe; knowing that their sitter is gonna protect them… surprisingly with no fear in his eyes… . Feeling determined too, they got in front of Sombra, and looked towards the door in a battle ready stance as well; determined looks in their eyes as they face their soon to be adversary behind the door.
Few minutes ago… .
“Ugh… my head… .” Cadence said, wobbling and having one of her own hooves to her head. “Why’d you talk me into skydiving off of a bridge in Canterlot??? That hurt.” Shining Armor, chuckling nervously with a blush and smile, turned to respond to his beloved wife, “I’m really sorry… . I mean… to me… the bridge seemed way high up in my opinion… . Didn’t think it’d be the exact same level as the bridge in Ponyville… . Hehehe… .” Cadence sighs; completely exhausted, and then leaned against the front door before saying; “let’s just hope Sombra and the others are okay… . I’d hate to see them in any other condition that isn’t good… like ours… .” Shining chuckled, then said; “yeah… me too… .” After that, both of the couple opened the doors, and entered with a crash since the door was stuck, and they had to kick it open. But soon after that, something fell on both of their heads, causing both of them to fall onto the ground. After a few seconds, they both got up, and roared out in pain. And then after that, they took big heavy stomps to their daughter’s door to tell her that they’re hurt, and that they need to search her room for the medicine cabinet key that they’ve hidden in their daughter’s room somewhere.
Back in Flurry Heart’s bedroom… .
“Ready?” Sombra said as the noises are getting closer to the bedroom door. “Ready!” The three fillies said as they’re currently armed with plushies and pillows, ready to face any threat.
Soon… the door opened up, and the royal couple went inside. However, Sombra and the others didn’t knew that it was them, and then once the door was opened, they blindly charged, and pummeled them with their weapons. Sombra however had a harder weapon, which was a wooden bat in Flurry Heart’s toy chest. Reason being is that Shining wanted to play ball with his daughter, and his daughter agreed! But eventually it grew out of favor after some shattered windows, and an angry mom’s look. So it was kept inside the chest to be forgotten for all time… . Metaphorically speaking.
Flurry Heart is saying “sorry” repeatedly at both of her injured parents, while the other three ponies are currently bandaging them up.
“So uh… . Did you guys have fun together??? Ow.. .” Sombra looked to Shining Armor, and then responded to his question with, “we did hehe… . Sorry if we beat you. We’ve thought you two were either intruders, or monsters… . Let alone both.”
Cadence chuckled, albeit with a cough and a pained expression, and then replied to Sombra’s answer with; “it was fine… . Not too great, but alright… .” “That’s good… “ Sombra replied back. “That’s alright… .” After that, he finished up bandaging the royal couple, and stepped back to give them some room.
Once the couple were partially healed, they started leaning up, Shining Armor thanked Pinkie, Rainbow, and Sombra for watching over the house, and then Cadence paid them for their troubles… . Obviously they didn’t pay Flurry Heart since she doesn’t know much about money just yet. Let alone its value.
Soon after everything’s said and done, the trio left, and then the royal family have the house to themselves again… . Albeit with a few cracks since Flurry’s tantrum has left some damage that isn’t quite fixed yet… .
