As Twilight and Neighsay continued to spend more time together, Neighsay's feelings for her only grew stronger. He found himself thinking about her all the time and wanting to be near her constantly. But he still couldn't bring himself to tell her the truth about his feelings.
One day, Twilight invited Neighsay to join her on a trip to Canterlot to attend a royal ball. Neighsay agreed, eager to spend more time with her. As they walked through the city, Twilight noticed that Neighsay seemed distracted and asked if something was bothering him.
Neighsay hesitated for a moment before finally mustering up the courage to speak. "Twilight, there's something I need to tell you," he said, looking into her eyes.
