*Spottedleaf's POV*
*April 13th*
I flew to Canterlot since I wanted Celestia's help with deciding on a gift for Rainbow.
I spoke "Greetings Princess Celestia, I was wondering if you knew where the one called Daring Do lives."
Celestia spoke "I believe she lives in the Forbidden Jungle but I should warn you, that place is more dangerous than the Everfree Forest."
I spoke "I know but tomorrow is Rainbow's birthday and I was planning on having Daring Do be a surprise guest for the party."
Celestia spoke "Okay. I hope you know what you're doing."
But then Corvo, Brigit and Astra showed up.
Corvo spoke "Now don't think you should go there by yourself."
I spoke "I can't take Rainbow with me since this is for her birthday tomorrow."
Brigit spoke "Oh, we know that. But we thought you could use some help, so the three of us are coming with you."
Astra growled in agreement.
I spoke "It'll be a long flight though."
Brigit spoke "Ha! We'll see about that."
Corvo spoke "I can handle it."
I spoke "We only have a day to get there and back though."
Corvo spoke "Heh. Nothin’ too hard."
Brigit spoke "Sounds like a challenge, I’ll take it!"
I spoke "Though I doubt you can keep up with a half alicorn!"
Corvo and Brigit just smiled at that, dead-set on coming with me.
I soon take flight before heading off to the Forbidden Jungle.
And to my surprise, Corvo and Brigit were catching up with me, riding on a huge black dragon that looked similar to Astra, except with his horns pointed forward now and him looking more ferocious.
I spoke "We're almost there!"
Brigit spoke "Hear that, Astra? Not far now."
The black dragon growled in acknowledgment as I was surprised that the big black dragon was Astra.
I soon land outside Daring's house.
Astra landed as Corvo and Brigit got off of him before he transformed back into his small form.
Furling my wings, I knock on the door.
I ask "Excuse me Miss Do, are you home?"
A mare spoke "Hmm? Who is it? No one’s supposed to know where I am."
I spoke "I'm Leaf Sparkle, I came here on behalf of a friend of mine. Her birthday is tomorrow and she'd be beyond ecstatic if you were to attend her birthday party. I was the one that introduced her to the books you had written."
The mare spoke "Not interested. I don’t trust you."
I ask "Ever seen a Sonic Rainboom?"
The mare spoke "It’s just an old mare’s tale. Besides, even if I tried, I couldn’t pull off a Sonic Boom."
I spoke "Well, so was Nightmare Moon but she's nothing but a foal now. And I saw the Sonic Rainboom, two in fact! And a Sonic Lightningboom as well."
The mare spoke "Still don't trust you. Hit the road, Jack."
I use my magic to play back one of Rarity's memories from the day the Double Rainboom happened thus surprising the mare.
Flashback Danyelle spoke "Oh cuss! Pigeon into the pavement! Come on Dash! We got a few sparrows to save!"
Both Flashback Rainbows spoke "Right behind you Danyelle!"
The next thing Flashback Rarity saw was a Lightningboom and a Double Rainboom.
I spoke "Memories don't lie."
The mare spoke "I told you, I'm not coming! I am not gonna blow my cover!"
I spoke "You're as stubborn as Rainbow is..."
Corvo spoke "Think she may need better convincing."
I giggle "And she's fearless, just like you. And totally... Undeniably... Unstoppable!"
Corvo and Brigit facepalmed at that.
The mare spoke "Nice try, but you basically just described me. So I still don't trust you."
I spoke "But it is true."
The mare spoke "I said beat it."
All of a sudden, I was grabbed by a monkey-like creature.
I squirm in attempt to get free.
I spoke "Corvo, stay back! This isn't your fight!"
Corvo spoke "Alright. But call if ya need help."
Brigit struggled to not intervene as Astra held her back.
The monkey-like creature taunts "What's it gonna be Daring Do? Will you let this cat get her wings snapped off?"
Daring Do opened the door, revealing herself. "You just don't give up, do you, Ahuizotl?"
Ahuizotl laughs "Try as she might, her electric attacks won't have any effect on me!"
I had a scared look in my eyes, begging Daring to help.
Corvo readied his guns, as Brigit clenched her sword and shield tight with Astra growling, while Daring Do stood ready with a glare.
Ahuizotl spoke "This fight is between you and me Daring Do! Those other three are not allowed to interfere!"
But then next thing we knew, Daring Do kicked Ahuizotl as he let go of me.
Despite the fact that I had the major disadvantage when it comes to affinity, my teeth crackle with electricity as I bite Ahuizotl on the ass hard.
Ahuizotl yells "GAH!!! Why you!"
I snarl "You made the mousebrained mistake of grabbing a princess!"
Ahuizotl didn't seem fazed by that as he attacked again.
The wind kicked up suddenly.
I spoke "Daring Do, you might want to stand behind me."
After the four were behind me, I let loose the Roar thus sending Ahuizotl flying far away.
Daring spoke "Okay, that surprised me."
I spoke "I only use this power to protect others."
Daring spoke "Alright, I'll come along."
I spoke "This could make for a good short story."
Daring spoke "Maybe."
I spoke "It's your choice though."
Daring spoke "Right."
I spoke "Many ponies think the Roar's just a myth though but since you saw it firsthoof, maybe it's not just a myth after all."
Daring spoke "You got a point there."
I spoke "That jerk will think twice before angering me again."
Daring spoke "Ahuizotl will never change..."
"Come on, let's get back to Ponyville." I said.
Daring spoke "I heard of that place."
“Well, you’re about to be there in person.” I smiled
Daring spoke "No way!"
I spoke "Yeah way."
*April 14th*
*Rainbow's POV*
Bold and Mint were on my chest while staring at me.
Bold was pawing at my face to wake me up.
I yawned groggily.
A pair of green eyes and a pair of blue eyes were staring at me.
Azure yawns as he woke up.
Azure spoke "*yawn* Morning birthday mare."
“Hehehe. Morning, babe.” I cooed as he and I shared a good morning kiss.
Azure chuckles "Seems the kids are hungry."
“Yeah. If you don’t mind looking the other way?” I asked.
Azure spoke "Sure thing baby bird, I'll go make you some breakfast then."
Azure got out of bed before heading to the kitchen to make me breakfast.
Meanwhile, I was feeding Bold and Mint.
Little did I know, Spottedleaf had a big surprise for me.
After Bold and Mint had their milk meal, I helped burp them before they got tired. Must be their nap time. Hehe. They really are like me and Azure.
Mint spoke "Momma..."
That made me freeze.
Bold spoke "Momma…"
T-Their first words… I already know that this is gonna be the best birthday ever!
Spottedleaf soon calls out. "Hey Dash!"
“Huh?” I wondered.
Spottedleaf spoke "I got a really awesome surprise for you!"
I yawned as I got up before putting the twins back in their crib to sleep in.
Spottedleaf spoke "Plus I'm sure you'll like the surprise I have for you."
“Okay, cool your jets. I’m coming.” I said.
Azure spoke "I'll bring the kids by once they've had their nap."
“Thanks, babe.” I said with a smile as I pecked Azure on the cheek before he whispered into my ear. “And I have a present that you’ll never forget.” Hearing him say that made me blush, feeling hot and bothered as my wings flared up and a shiver shot down my spine.
*At the party,*
Twilight spoke "Happy birthday Rainbow."
I spoke "Thanks Twi."
Spottedleaf spoke "Hey Dash."
"Yeah?" I asked.
Spottedleaf spoke "It took some convincing and a Roar but I was able bring somepony as a special guest. Okay Daring! You can come out now!"
"Wait-what?" I noted in confusion.
A tan colored Pegasus mare with a grayscale rainbow mane and tail soon steps out from behind Spottedleaf after the half alicorn had dropped the invisibility spell, shocking both me and Twilight.
"D-D-D-D-Daring Do?" I gasped in shock as Twilight fainted.
Spottedleaf spoke "The one and only!"
I... I... I... I couldn't believe it. THE Daring Do, real and here in person!
Daring spoke "Your tortoiseshell friend saved my sorry tail from an enemy of mine."
*Excited squeal!* I couldn't wipe this smile off my face, and it was as big as Pinkie's!
Spottedleaf giggles "I couldn't tell you where I had gone since I didn't want to ruin the surprise."
I was so... Excited!
"Wow! Daring Do! I am your biggest fan! I'm Rainbow Dash!" I said in excitement.
Daring spoke "The tortoiseshell told me everything about you."
"W-What?!" I gasped before I blushed in embarrassment.
Spottedleaf was giggling.
Oh, I am so going to enjoy beating Spotted in a race tomorrow.
Spottedleaf spoke "I'm nowhere near as fast as you are!"
Twilight spoke "You kinda had that coming."
Spottedleaf spoke "Oh shut up and..."
A sudden "SIT GIRL!" command from OC-verse Danyelle had sent Twilight face down on the ground.
Spottedleaf asks "Did I do that?"
