Starlight’s Dimensional Drama

by Starlight Fan

Meeting Team Amazon

Starlight found herself stirring awake, and saw that she was lying next to Alejandro and Owen.

“Sleep well?” Alejandro asked with a grin.

“A little better than my first night here. That’s for sure.” Starlight admits with an awkward smile, still getting used to being around this new crowd.

“Your only company was Chris and Chef last night. I think almost anything is an improvement.” Noah snarks, eliciting a chuckle from Starlight.

Suddenly Chris appeared from the entrance and spoke up, “And how is everybody back here? That is what I would ask if I cared.”

“So what do you really want?” Bridgette asked in annoyance.

“Well Starlight needs to check up on our winners from yesterday back in first class.” Chris explained with a smirk.

Starlight shrugged and decided to do so, after all the company was nice but it would be good to spend some time in first class. Getting to know Team Amazon better might also help her adjust to this new world.

As Starlight looked to the entrance of first class, she took a deep breath to compose herself and walked inside the golden room in shock. She may have lived in Twilight’s castle for a good while, but she didn’t expect this place to be so beautiful.

“Uh… hey guys…” Starlight chuckled nervously as Sierra, Cody, Gwen, Courtney, and Heather turned to the unicorn who just spoke.

“Oh. So I wasn’t hallucinating? She actually exists.” Gwen raised an eyebrow towards Courtney who nodded in understanding.

“I know that I may have left a… pretty weird impression on all of you and I feel like I should apologize for that.” Starlight admits sheepishly.

“Meh, I could care less. Seeing Harold get levitated on his pancake butt was hilarious.” Heather shrugged with a smirk, seeing as how Starlight’s actions never harmed her personally.

“Considering all the crap you’re going through, it does make sense you’d be so upset.” Gwen smiled warmly at the unicorn, who smiled back, glad that someone was understanding of her plight.

Suddenly Sierra zipped towards Starlight with an enthusiastic grin, “OMG hi there! You’re Starlight, aren’t you?!”

Starlight was getting uncomfortable from the close distance between her and Sierra, “Uh… yes. That’s me.”

“I just have so many questions about your world. I mean, what is Equestria anyway?” Sierra asked, hyper focused on getting knowledge about Starlight’s dimension.

Starlight wasn’t sure how to answer that, Sierra seemed harmless enough but she wasn’t sure if she felt safe talking about her home in this place given everything was being recorded with cameras.

“If you’re worried about the cameras, Chris said he’d edit out anything to do with Equestria.” Cody said, somehow reading Starlight’s mind on the situation.

“Okay… well… Equestria is a very bright kingdom populated mostly by ponies such as myself, and it’s main source of power is magic.” Starlight explained sheepishly, “There are two alicorn princesses that have ruled Equestria for a thousand years. Princess Celestia is the Princess Of The Day and raises the sun, while Princess Luna is Princess Of The Night and raises the moon. Most recently, two other alicorns have gained their own titles, Princess Cadence rules the Crystal Empire and Princess Twilight Sparkle is the Princess Of Friendship. Together, they rule side by side and defend Equestria from all evil.”

“Well they certainly did a crappy job if you got banished to another dimension.” Heather remarks sarcastically, to which Starlight looked down sadly at. Everyone else in the room glared at Heather for what she said to which Heather gave a nervous frown at and harshly added, “What?! I’m just speaking my mind. If one of these threats were able to send Starlight here, they are clearly terrible at keeping the safety of their subjects in check.”

“But why would the villain go after Starlight anyway?” Cody raised an eyebrow inquisitively, “It makes no sense considering she’s not a princess.”

Starlight soon felt all eyes on her again and so she took a breath and confessed, “I’m… close friends with Twilight. I was in the way of their plans to drain all the magic from Equestria and they decided to get me out of the way immediately.”

“Ouch.” Gwen cringed awkwardly, to which all of Team Amazon stared in silence at. The tension was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. Sierra decided the silence was too uncomfortable and spoke again.

“So how close would you consider yourself to be with Twilight?” Sierra smiled brightly, “Really close or reeeeeeeeeally close?”

Starlight’s face immediately turned red at what Sierra was implying before Heather groaned at Sierra’s teasing, “Ugh! She’s clearly just friends with this Twilight Sparkle alicorn! She wouldn’t have said it otherwise.” Heather rolled her eyes.

Starlight shook off her initial shock and spoke up, “Yes, Heather had it right, we are just friends.” Tears began to pool her eyes, “Best friends even. Though… I doubt I’ll ever see her again.”

Starlight lowered her head sadly, making Cody and Gwen share a look of sympathy while Courtney and Heather felt awkward about seeing this. Sierra gulped, realizing she probably made the situation worse. Suddenly Cody had a smile on his face, as if a realization occurred to him.

“What’s saying you won’t see her again?” Cody walked up to the weeping unicorn with a kind smile.

Starlight sighed before answering, “Well, I’m trapped in an alternate dimension with barely any magic in me so it’s not exactly looking good for me.”

“But this Equestria you speak of is a world that thrives off of magic, isn’t it?” Cody reminded Starlight which made her eyes perk up.

“That is true.” Starlight admits before asking, “What are you trying to say?”

“I’m saying that if Equestria has a bunch of magic at its disposal and if your friends really care about you, then they’re totally gonna fight tooth and nail to get you back.” Cody said happily, to which Starlight found herself smiling at. Even despite her past, Twilight and her friends have shown that they do care about her and that they would stick by her side no matter what. If anybody could get her back, it was them.

“Maybe you’re right.” Starlight softly smiled.

Soon the seatbelt warning started flashing and Chef’s voice was heard through the intercom. “We got some nasty air bumps, lock your butts to a seat. Over!”

Starlight immediately snapped out of her thoughts and ran for a seat, she found herself and Cody sitting next to each other and strapped a seatbelt on, using her magic.

Despite the shaking of the plane, Starlight stared at the window, not caring about what was currently going on, but wondering if and when Twilight would come back.
