The Alicorns' Vow

Nightmare's Moon Mesmerization

You may ask
Why the dark?
What use is there in it?
Let me tell

The light, the day
To simply put
Are boring, overrated

So bright and shiny
Over which some whine
Whether for or against
It matters not to me

So full life
And love at that
The time for everyone
To do their activities

Ignore the dark, fear it so
Curse unknowns
Afflict them without
Attempting try to understand
Say all across the land

I grew sick
Of this treatment
Of being broken
And being beaten

And so my spite
Despite the respite
My sister attempted
It had been too late
For her to know

The mystery of dark
Compared to the overhyped sun
Is incomparable
Almost undesirable
So I shall try
To tell thou quite why

Under sunlight
On lunar white
The air glows
Insight from simple sight
Grows and grows

The wonderous
Mysterious and magical
So different from day
How can you not see it?
Why fear?
And cower and hide?

Breathe of cold winds
Billowing the mane
The crunching snow
Even in the winter’s dead
Much is to be found

Black abyss, beautiful
Indigo implications, gorgeous
Twinkling stars and shooting streaks
Encircling us around
Harmony for the soul
Especially mine

To be locked away
And shunned by all
Hurt me so
Rightful jealous grew
As I supposedly succumbed

But now my sister sees
Finally, she understands
For though wrong
Was I, she apologized
I struck her whims away
And now, she is
True to herself

All shall see
The night’s sublime
For eternal time
The moon strengthens
It’s grasps
In culture and mind

I had missed these nights
When on the moon
Though star surrounded
The winds were voided
Flying impossible,
My fine feathers
Wept in agony

So, believe
You should now
Why I shall be
The diarchs
In this new world

Luna was a lunatic
To never question
The unjust Celestia
And the attention
Given to her
Luckily, she broke
And I finally awoke

To bring the night
And blaze alight
With my sister’s help
Side by side

We shall rule and hold
Until the night
Fades into death
Us forgotten and cold
