Friendship is Deadly
Episode One
Who am I?
He slowly opened his eyes to see glimpses of two ponies staring at him. He passed out, to weak to continue on. Mrs. Cake said, "Oh dear, we better get this one to a hospital right now or he is a goner!!"
Mr. Cake nodded, "Yes dear! Help him into the cart, the poor thing must have been a shipwreck survivor." The two kind ponies pulled him off the beach and onto their wagon cart.
His eyes slowly pulled themselves open, as he glanced lazily around a hospital room. His jolted awake as he gasped, panting for breath. He was shocked to be still alive, but the big shock was about to come walking in the door. The door flew open as a yellow stallion came in, looking to be some kind of doctor. Leon gasped again, "Your a pony!!!"
The doctor laughed, "Of course... You must have hit your head or something.." He held his head as small memories of a hellish place came back to him, he felt a hoove through his hair instead of a hand. His eyes widened more, as he discovered a unicorn horn on top of his head. He grabbed a mirror, and it was true, he was unicorn, only reacting with a gulp. The doctor opened the curtains to a magical world, that Leon never thought could exist. Ponies with wings, flew through the air, and unicorns and regular ponies walked in all direction in a ginger bread style town. His eyes widened to the point of popping out, nothing in his entire life could ever measure to the shock of the sight. The doctor smiled, "Yes, your quite the lucky chap! When that nice couple Mrs. and Mr. Cake brought you here, you were half dead as it was. Your lucky to be even alive, now you might have a slight bit of memory loss, but that's ok, it will come with time. Meanwhile, the mayor of ponyville has offered you a place to live and all. Your quite the talk of the town, Well your all healed now, so get out of here you silly pony!!' The doctor and the nurses rushed him out of the hospital, as he pushed out the door. He gazed up at the sunny day as pegasus ponies flew over head. He got up off his flank and started to trout along the dirt path into town. He smiled big as this magical world had opened its doors to him, he looked around feeling a bit of peace and happiness wash over him. He looked to see a couple of mares, a yellow pony with orange mane and tail and a carrot marking on her flanks. And, a white mare with redish rosey hair and a rose on her flanks for markings. He looked puzzled and looked to his flank to see a yin yang symbol, it was interesting. The girls waved to him, smiling wide, he lifted his eye brow in confusion. They blushed and giggled to themselves, as he walked along not sure what that was all about. He bumped into a grayish with a brownish coat mare, and a scroll for a marking.
She shook her head and looked at him, "Are you ok? You should really watch where your going?!"
He shook his head and rubbed it, "Sorry ma'am!! I am just new here, so much to look at..."
"Are you that Unicorn I heard was washed up along the shoreline a few miles away from here?" she asked him.
"Why yes, I am actually," he smiled.
"Well by the half of ponyville," she smiled and spoke in her smooth commanding voice, "I, Mayor Mare, and all ponies of ponyville welcome you to our little town!"
He nodded, "Thank you so much."
She smiled and began to walk away looking back to him, "Come let's get you settled in.." He followed her to a large ginger bread house and pointed inside. He walked in and looked around, it had everything a super intellegent race of ponies could ever need or want. And, strangly it seemed to be so homely, like he belonged here. He looked back to see the Mayor give a quick smile and walk off to let him settle in. He didn't know what to eat though, and his new horse stomach cried for food. But, what do horses eat, he had an idea, apples. He found some apples on the table and digged in, never had apples tasted so good. His new body was so large though, he seen other males, but he was quite bigger then them. He didn't know if that's a bad or good thing. He ate his fill and went to the window up the stairs.
He opened his window and looked out, a bit of saddness crept in his heart, as he whispered, "I wonder who I was?" He sighed and spent the rest of the day trying to remember as horrible images of his former life flashed in his head. A girl reaching out to him in blackness, a horrible monster destroying the world, a universe torn by war. He clenched his eyes and head with his hooves, the images are just too horrible. He watched the sunset in the distance, not sure if he will ever get home, when he saw her, a beautiful flying white horse with a unicorn horn. Her mane and tail flowed like water in the air as she elegantly flew over the sunset. Her mane and tail was multicolored and truly amazing. He gasped and smiled wide as she brought a rainbow in the wake of her arch, like saying goodbye to the sun. Then another one showed, a black and blue mare, almost like her yang, flew over head as day slowly turned into night with her passing. Leon couldn't believe his eyes, true harmony and unity, night and day dancing in the sky. He put his head on his hooves and watch the two beings dance and play in the sky. If this was what heaven was like, then he should have died alot longer ago. He sighed as he grew tired and went to his bed, crawling in. He quickly went to sleep, finding his small measure of peace, that we all seek, but few find.
He has a dream, though, "Leon Kitsune," a man smiled, covered in robes, "You have come so far, and yet, achieved so little." He felt a sharp pain in his stomach as the white robed unknown man stabbed him in the stomach.
He coughed up blood, as he heard a girl he never saw before scream out, "FATHER NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" His eyes widened as he screamed awake. He quickly realised it was morning, and that was comforting.
"It was only a dream," he smiled. He got out of bed and headed down to eat some more apples, then headed out into the streets. Ponies everywhere, it was comforting as well, he was finally, in a place where he felt like he belonged. He trouted off toward the center of town to explore, when he noticed a little candy store known as 'Sugar Cube Corner.' He proceeded to walk in and he noticed the couple he only caught a glimpse of the other day. They gasped and dropped, literally what they where doing and looked at him. "Uhm.." he smiled, "Hey ya'll?" He smiled wide, feeling awkward, they smiled back, too.
"We are happy to see your..." Mrs. Cake began..
"The doctor said you wouldn't last the night is what my wife was saying..." Mr. Cake interupted, "I am Mr. Cake and this is my sweetums Mrs. Cake."
"Thank you for saving my life," he smiled, "I owe you big time, how may I repay you?"
'No no!" Mr. Cake replied, "Just what we do, no need to repay us, and if you feel like you do. Then you can always come by and help if you like?" He nodded and smiled then came in, when he noticed a pink mare walk out of the back room. She was smiling wide and party balloons on her flank. She was bouncing around singing a song about cupcakes, it was a bit of unsettling. But, to why, he did not know, she bounced toward him, and then around him. Her poofy hair bounced in the air as she kept singing over and over, he smiled a bit awkardly. He didn't know weither to be disturbed or scared.
She jumped infront of him and sceamed into his ear drum, "CUPCAKES!!!! CUPCAKES!!! CUPCAKES!!!!" He was on the floor, as she stood over him, smiling wide. "Hello there!!" she shouted in her cute high pitched voice, "Are you new?!?!" She bounced more, "I love meeting new people." She gasped as her eyes went wide then she screamed, "Oh my gosh!! I forgot to tell you who I am!!! I AM PINKIE PIE!!! AND YOU ARE?!?!?!"
He panted as he nearly had a heart attack, "I-I am Leon..."
"LEON!!" she gasped, "That is a super duper awesome name!!!' She smiled bigger, "Hey do you want to meet my friends!?!?!"
"Are they all like this?" he asked getting off the floor.
"Naw!" she started speaking so fast he could barely undestand a word, "I am the only one who is always happy, and I love to bring happiness to everyone." She gasped again, "I KNOW!! I AM GONNA THROW YOU A WELCOME PARTY!!! COME TO THE LIBARY IN ONE HOUR!!!' She launched out of the door leaving Leon cringing in fear, not even the deepest pit of hell was that shit spewingly scary. He looked around as all the other ponies slowly looked away, realising he was still in reality. He walked out and continued on his marry way, watching out for the terror known as Pinkie Pie. He heard something in air, the classic whistle of a plane about to crash. It got louder as he looked up and saw a rainbow like streak of blurr raging at him. His eyes widened as he hit the dirt and a pony slammed right through a tree behind him. He gasped and raced over to her, grabbing her rainbow tail with his teeth then pulling out the sky blue mare.
She instantly took flight in her boyish raspy female voice, "Darn it!! I was so close to doing a sonic rainboom!! Maybe I just need more height this time!!" She looked at him, then came in close, her body angled like she was on two legs, put her hoove to her chin. She looked him over, "Who are you?"
"Leon," he smiled, sweating slightly, "Leon Kitsune, you?"
"Rainbow Dash!!" she went up higher, being a pegasus and all, "The greatest flyer in all of Equestria!!" She turned and he saw a cloud with a rainbow lightening bolt for her flank marking.
"Sounds pretty cool," He replied, "So why are you crashing into trees? If your such a great flyer and all..."
She grunted and got in his face, "I WAS TRYING TO DO A SONIC RAINBOOM TO IMPRESS THE WONDER BOLTS!!"
"The Wonder Who?" he raised an eyebrow.
She gasped, "Have you been under a rock or something?!?! They are only the greatest flyers in all of Equestria!!'
"But," he was puzzled now, "I thought you were?"
She hoofed, "I am!!! I just haven't been noticed, yet!!"
"Hey now!!" he replied, "No need for violence... Look, It was nice meeting you Rainbow Dash. But, I think I better go, I am new here afterall plenty of ponies to meet!!'
"Wait you ain't going no where!!" she jumped infront of him, "I challenge you to a race!!"
"NO FAIR YOU CAN FLY!!!" he growled.
"I can beat you with both wings behind my back!!" she smiled at him.
He got in her face, "YOUR ON THEN!!!" They growled at each other and glared, then smiled slightly.
"First one to Sugar Cube Corner!!' she smiled, "Loser buys lunch!!'
"Your on!!' he replied and they both got ready to race.
A near by pony was counting down, she said, "5....4.......3......2.....1...GOOOO!!!!!!!" They both dashed off leaving nothing, but wind behind them. Leon smiled big as he felt so alive, then it hit him he was in a race when he saw rainbow blurr go by. He sped up, slowly catching up to her, she gasped as he ran backwards on two hind legs right beside her.
"So you got any money?" he asked her, "Cause I like to eat a big meal!!!!" He laughed and returned to all fours when she pulled on by to his shock. He smiled and narrowed his eyes and raced even faster as the world turned to a blurr. She pulled away again, smiling at him, then sticking out her tongue. He pulled back up to her as she growled, and they were neck and neck the whole way. They saw Sugar Cube Corner up ahead, she stuck out her tongue to him and pulled into the lead. He laughed more, having a crazy idea, they were only yards away. He raced up to her as he looked at her smiling, she raised an eyebrow to him. He smacked his lips with her's, and her eyes grew wide, her cheeks went red as a rose. He pulled away from her lips, leaving her in the dust. She was in a state of shock as he blazed away infront of her and beat her to the finish line.
She came dashing at him and tackled him to the ground then pinned him. She screamed at him, "YOU CHEATED!!!"
He smiled at her rosey cheeks, "But, you liked it...." She gasped and looked around embarressed. 'Don't worry no one saw, I will won't tell if you don't?"
She growled then softly smiled at him, "Sure.."
"Come I will pay for lunch," he smiled.
"No need to pay Leon," Mrs. Cake said coming out Sugar Cube Corner, "It's on the house today!" He smiled, as they both entered and enjoyed a lovely lunch together.
They finish and go their seperate ways, he headed off to the libary to see if he can figure out more about this place. He knocked on the door and a purple mare came to open it, her hair is done a bit different way then the rest, with pink highlights. "Hello?" she smiled at him.
"Hello," she was a very cute pony to him, he didn't know if that was his new pony instincts talking or something, though, "Yes, I am Leon and I am here to learn more about this world's culture!!"
"Oh you must be Leon?" she smiled more, "Pinkie told me all about you" She opened the door completely, and gasped giving a bit of a blush, "My, your a big unicorn!! You look like my brother Shinning Armor, almost."
"Did you say Pinkie!!" he gasped, "IS SHE HERE!?!"
"Yes of course!' she smiled, "I am Twilight Sparkle!" Pinkie came racing out and bounced around him before she could finish. Leon gritted his teeth in terror as she sang another song, this time about friendship. "PINKIE!!" Twilight growled, "Don't scare our guest!!"
She froze then smiled, "Ok, oh the party! Come in Leon!" Pinkie raced inside like the wind as he was in the feddle position.
"Thanks Twilight," he said coming up from his feddle position, "She scares me..."
"She has that affect, but you learn to love her..." Twilight smiled, "Come in, we have been waiting for you."
"We?" he walked in, and saw a whole bunch of ponies. An orange cowboy mare with yellow hair and apples for marking for her flanks. Rainbow Dash, was there floating in the air with a pink haired and yellow coated mare, with butterflies for her flanks. Another Unicorn with a white coat, purple hair, and dimonds for her flanks. Then to his joy, the two mares that he say flying in the sky earlier.
The White one who was taller and clearly seemed in charge by the way she carried herself. Her voice was motherly and loving, as she spoke to him, "Welcome, to ponyville. I am Princess Celestia, and your name is?"
"Leon..." he gulped and smiled, "Leon Kitsune your majesty."
"It is a pleasure to meet you," she smiled deeply, "I hear you survived a shipwreck. If you remember who was on the ship, what ship it was, or how it happened? It would help in aiding the pain of any pony families that had lost someone on that ship."
"Oh.." he remembered more of what happened, "With all due respect, I was never ship wrecked. I fell from the sky..." Celestia gasped as her eyes got wide, like she never heard of such a thing.
"Well I for one want to know what happened then," the other smaller mare came from behind, "Hello, I am Princess Luna, sister to Celestia, and I demand you not speak such lies."
"I was trapped...." he cringed in fear, "It happened so fast.." The memories came back like a wildfire, all the horridness included. So many worlds consumed, the very pit of hell, and that monster he saw in the depths of hell. He did not speak, instead his horse ears folded down, and he shivered.
The other pegasus came down to meet him, "Are you ok?" Her voice was like a thousand angels all singing at once.
"Yes I am," he looked away, Princess was forced by Celestia to back off him.
"I am Fluttershy," she smiled to him.
"I am Apple Jack," the cowboy mare came to his left to introduce herself.
"I am Rarity," the other Unicorn came to him from his right.
"And what is your name," they all asked at once.
"I am Leon..." he smiled, feeling comfort, "Leon Kitsune...."
"So Leon?" AJ smiled and interupted, "How ya'll liking this here ponyville? You look like you a mighty hard working stallion. If ya'll need some work come over to Orchard and I will find ya some work."
He nodded and smiled, "That would be great!"
"Oh, and if you ever need anything at all," Twilight came to him, "Just let us know."
He nodded as Luna came to him and asked, "So if your from the sky, then that makes you not from here?"
"Yes ma'am," he replied.
"Well I for one," Celestia smiled and came up to the oppisite side of Luna, "Find him to be quite a charming unicorn. I am happy, on behalf of Equestria, to welcome you to my sister's and I's kingdom. I hope you find everything you wish here among us ponies." She turned to Twilight, "Twilight, I want you to help teach Leon more about magic." Twilight nodded hessitating at first, but she quickly obeyed.
"You all been so kind," He said while smiling abit embaressed, "So, uhm, what's next?"
"NOW WE PARTY!!" Pinkie Pie popped out of nowhere throwing her arms out in a fit of joy, as streamers magically flew out from nowhere. They all laughed a bit and the party started. Leon laughed and played like the kid he never could be. He danced and laughed for the first time in his life, he was finally happy. The night ended after awhile, and they all went home, including Leon. He yawned as he reached his tiny modest home, unlocked the door and entered. He went straight to bed and smiled in his sleep.
