Episode 17: The Wisp Saga (Part 4):


Coaster of Nightmares






On the last planet that's connected to Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park, there was a factory with a bunch of capsules heading towards it. The Mane 6, Sunny and her friends and the Freedom Fighters were walking towards it.

"What is this place?" Twilight asked.

"Looks like some sort of factory," Hitch said. "Almost reminds me of Canterlogic back in our time."

"What's Canterlogic?" Rarity asked.

"It was a factory that was making stuff that was supposed to be defense against unicorns and pegasi," MC said. "Too bad at the time, they didn't know that the other pony tribes had no magic."

"You'd know a lot about the future through those vision dreams," Rainbow Dash said.

"At first, when I had those visions, I thought they were some weird dreams," MC said. "Until those four mares and this stallion actually came from the future."

"I still can't believe you five ponies came from the future," Rotor said. 

"Whoa!" Sonic said when they all made it inside. The others gasped at what they were seeing.

"Holy cow!" MC said. "This must be how Eggman is converting the Wisps into negative wisps for his mind control ray!"

"There are... so many o' them," Bunnie said.

"Zis is bad," Antoine said.

"Sally, think you, Bunnie, Antoine and Rotor can get them all out?" MC asked.

"We'll try," Sally said. Then the four of them ran towards one side of the factory.

"We gotta find that generator and tear it apart," MC said, looking at the rest of the group.

"He's right," Twilight said. "Let's get going, everyone." Then they all headed out of the factory.

"I haven't seen Yacker for a while, guys," Tails said.

"We'll find him, Tails," Sonic said. "But for now, we've got a generator to smash."








The group arrived at the main park of the planet they were on. Every single piece of rock had a roller coaster track connected to it.

"Whoa!" Rainbow Dash said. "Is that a..."

"Roller coaster," MC said. "A dangerous one to be exact. None of them are finished."

"Or he wants everyone to think that," Zipp said. "We've gotta stop Eggman's plan for global mind control."

"I don't think he'll stop at that," Maria said. "If he gets enough Wisp energy, he might just take over the entire universe."

"We can't let Eggman take control of even one planet, not even one creature," Sunny said.

"Sunny's right," Twilight said. "How do we find that generator?"

"We follow the beam," MC said, pointing off somewhere. They saw a beam from the planet connected to Eggman's Theme Park.

"Okay," Twilight said. "We'll start there." Then they all started heading off towards the tractor beam.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, the Crusaders were watching Cloudpuff at Freedom Fighters Mansion. Scootaloo and Nyx were trying to catch Cloudpuff in midair.

"Come back here!" Scootaloo called out. "Man, this flying dog is really hyper!"

"Come here, Cloudpuff!" Nyx said. Just then, the Young 6 arrived in the Freedom Fighters Mansion.

"Hey, guys," Sandbar said. "What are..." He then saw the two winged fillies chasing Cloudpuff. "What in Celestia's name is going on here?!"

"Hey, y'all!" Apple Bloom said. "We're just... watchin' a dog that's owned by two pegasi from far in the future."

"Far in the future?" Smolder asked. "Time travel is possible?"

"It sure is," came Silver's voice. They all looked towards the voice and saw Silver and Blaze coming out of the kitchen. "I came from that same future. And in that future, it was a post-apocalyptic future."

"Oh, it couldn't have been that bad," Ocellus said.

"Everything was on fire everywhere but Equestria," Blaze said.

"Seriously?" Smolder asked. "When's that gonna happen?"

"We changed the past so it wouldn't happen," Silver said.

"Can we get some help with getting Cloudpuff?!" Scootaloo called out, still chasing Cloudpuff through the house. Just then, the two were grabbed in a light blue aura. They all looked towards where the aura was coming from and it was coming from Silver's hand.

"Whoa!" Yona said. "Hedgehog have magic like unicorn ponies!"

"He did say he's from the future," Ocellus said. "Silver just might be a descendant from a unicorn pony."

"Meh, I don't think so," Silver said. He then thought of something. "Well, I never knew my parents. Who knows where my heritage comes from?"

"He's got a point," Blaze said, taking Cloudpuff out of Silver's telekinetic grip. "Here you go." She was handing Cloudpuff to Apple Bloom.

"Thank ya," Apple Bloom said.

"This dog is weird," Sandbar said. "I have never seen one with wings. How is this possible?"

"We don't know," Nyx said. "We'll have to ask Pipp and Zipp when they get back."

"Who are Pipp and Zipp?" Ocellus asked.

"Two out of five ponies that came from the same time as him," Joshua said, pointing at Silver.

"We might not be able to go back to the future we came from due to the path to that future is gone," Silver said.

"Wait, but doesn't that mean that you all will cease to exist?" Ocellus asked.

"Actually, according to Midpoint, a new universe is created by a different choice made in life," Blaze said. "And the universe we're in is decided by the choices we make. Basically, every other universe is a 'What If' by different choices."

"So, we just hafta be careful on the choices we make?" Apple Bloom asked.

"In certain situations," Blaze said.

"Alright, everyone," came Truemen's voice. "Time for lunch." He then noticed the Young 6, groaned and said, "I'll make some more food for our guests."

The Young 6 looked towards Truemen as he was walking back into the kitchen and Smolder said, "Is he from the future, too?"

"Nope," Silver said. "He's from this time."

Smolder smirked and said, "Guess it is possible for someone to go back in time. Even Doctor Hooves is gonna be surprised at that."

"Actually, Twilight and Spike went back in time over a year before the School of Friendship first opened," Nyx said.

"Starlight Glimmer was evil at the time," Joshua said.

"So, where is Twilight?" Sandbar asked. Just then, the TV turned on and on came a commercial from Eggman. He was on TV with Orbot and Cubot.

"Ho ho! Hello, world! My name is Doctor Eggman! Amusement Park builder and not an evil mastermind trying to capture aliens for Hyper-go-on power! We are proud to announce that Doctor Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park is now open to the public!"

Then Orbot said, "That's right, boss. Not only is it in outer space, but it's also six amusement parks in one."

Then in a normal accent, Cubot said, "Wow, six?! I can't even count that high! No, really! Is that after eleventy-four?" Orbot just facepalmed himself. Then it showed different parks.

Eggman's voice was coming from the background. "Enjoy our Tropical Resort. There, you can enjoy our gigantic Ferris Wheel. Then transport to to the Starlight Carnival. There you can ride the Rainbow Road from ship to ship."

Then Orbot's voice came from the background. "Be sure to have fun on our roller coasters at Asteroid Coasters. Bear in mind that not all coasters are complete."

Then Cubot's voice came from the background. "And at Sweet Mountain, you can get hit by giant missiles... filled with candy."

Then Orbot's voice came back from the background. "Afterwards, you can watch on to sea life at the Aquarium Park."

Then Eggman's voice came back to the background. "Finally, be sure to visit our alien enslavement camp... er, I mean Planet Wisp. Once we're done with construction."

Then it showed Orbot and Cubot on the screen. Cubot then said, "Wow, this sounds like the best amusement park ever."

"I know," Orbot said. "Just listen to what these customers have to say."

Then robots that looked like Sonic and Twilight appeared on the screen. The robot that looked like Sonic said, "Hey, I'm Sonic the Hedgehog, and I approve of this amusement park."

Then the robot that looks like Twilight said, "This has got to be the best vacation ever!"

Then the logo for the Amusement park showed up on the screen and its motto below it as Eggman says it. "So come up to Doctor Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park. It's for my amusement and your enslavement."

The ones at the mansion were watching the TV with scolding looks on their faces. Nyx then said, "We all knew that those weren't the real Twilight and Sonic, right?" The others nodded in agreement.

"We better call them to see what's going on up there," Truemen said, walking towards the kitchen.








Back at Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park, the Mane 6, Sunny and her friends, Sonic, Tails, MC and Maria were all heading towards a roller coaster ride. They got into one, but MC stopped when his phone started ringing. He checked it and then answered it.

"What is it, Truemen?" MC asked. "Yeah, we're at that amusement park. What do you think we're doing?!" Just then, the roller coaster started moving while MC was still distracted. "Yeah, I gotta go." He then hung up the phone. "Hey, wait for me!" He then jumped on the rail and started grinding to chase the roller coaster cart.

"C'mon, MC!" Rainbow Dash called out. "You can catch up!"

"You think I don't know that?" MC asked. He then started leaning in as the roller coaster was starting to go down a slope. MC then jumped off the rail and he started falling faster than the moving cart. He then landed on the front of the front cart where Sunny and Twilight were. "Alright, guys. We've got a dead end coming up ahead. Get ready to jump." MC's hands then started glowing, making the safety bars open up.

Then they all jumped out of the cart as the roller coaster carts jumped off some rails and crash landed on an asteroid, the carts exploding.

"Whoa," Izzy said. "Good thing we jumped off when we did. Or else we woulda been toast."

"You said it, Iz," Pipp said. "That would be very brutal to my hair."

"Oh, tell me about it, darling," Rarity said. "In fact, something dreadful happened to my mane before Equestria was pulled into Earth."

"Hey, Rares," Rainbow Dash said. "Remember what Chip said when he got his memories back? He said that Equestria was actually a missing piece of the planet that he sent away for our own protection."

"Oh, that's right, darling," Rarity said. "He did say that."

"Gotta admit," MC said. "If that little sucker's actually a god that protects the planet from so much darkness, he must've been very powerful."

"He must have," Twilight said. "So, should we keep going out and find that generator?"

"Twilight's right," Sonic said. "Let's continue following the tractor beam." Then they kept walking towards the beam.

MC held up his right hand and said, "Yo, Sally. How's it going with trying to free all of those Wisps?"

Back at the factory, Sally, Bunnie, Antoine and Rotor were trying to shut down the factory and free the wisps.

"These capsules are sealed tight," Rotor said. "It's hard just trying to get at least one open."

"Stand back, sugah," Bunnie said. She then used her robot hand to punch the capsule, releasing the wisps. The wisps were cheering in excitement. Just then, something came crashing in.



"Oh, crud! It's Metal Sonic!" Sally said.

"Metal Sonic?!" MC asked through the communicator. "Shoot. Get outta there!"

Just then, a red wisp showed up and hovered in front of Bunnie.



The wisp absorbed itself into Bunnie's robot arm. Then Bunnie's arm cannon came out. She aimed it towards Metal Sonic and a huge burst of flames came out, pushing both her and Metal Sonic towards the walls they had their backs faced.

"Oh, mah starz!" Bunnie said as the wisp exited her arm. "This li'l feller brings out a burst o' fire power."

"Literally," Rotor said.

Metal Sonic recovered and he started charging towards Bunnie. Metal Sonic slammed her down to the ground, making Antoine worried.

"BUNNIE!!" Antoine shouted. He then sliced open a capsule and a different kind of wisp came out.



The purple wisp absorbed itself into Antoine's sword, making Antoine angry, his eyes getting a faint purple glow. He then sliced at Metal Sonic, the left arm of the robot coming off and the energy from Antoine's sword literally consuming it.

"Whoa, Antoine!" Bunnie said, getting up and recovering. "Calm down, sugah."

Then the wisp got out of Antoine's sword. Then the wisp turned into a different color.



"Whoa," Sally said. She then saw Antoine, panting heavily. "Antoine, are you okay?"

"Zat was... Zat was awful," Antoine said.

Rotor saw the purple wisps, who were angry as much as Antoine was. Then he saw the other ones.



"Guys, avoid the purple and violet wisps," Rotor said. "They're very corrupted. Making them very dangerous."

Back with the Mane 6, Sonic, Tails, MC, Maria, Sunny and her friends, the group came across a tunnel which was supposed to lead the group to the generator.

"Corrupted wisps, huh?" MC asked. "Figures. Must've been because of Eggman trying to use their energy to fuel the mind control ray."

"And what's left over from the wisps becomes very vile and angry," Tails said.

"We're gonna have to free those wisps from the darkness corrupting them," Twilight said.

"Let's get there already!" Rainbow Dash said. She then started flying up  and towards the tractor beam, but a force field prevented her from getting past the cliff side. She fell to the ground, landing on Zipp and Hitch. "Ow..."

"Ooh... that hurt," Zipp said.

"Hopefully we'll all be okay for the battle," Hitch said.

"Actually, Sonic, Sparkles and Sunny were the ones doing the bad guy bashing," MC said. "I was just smashing generators."

"Yeah, that's true," Hitch said.

"Guess the only way to the generator is to go through that dark, ominous tunnel," Izzy said. That comment didn't make Fluttershy very happy. She then tried to hide her face behind her mane, but since her haircut during the invasion, it was harder for her to hide her whole face.

"Oh... right..." Fluttershy said. She then stroked her mane.

"Is something wrong with your mane, Fluttershy?" Pipp asked. "I can make it fabulous if you'd like."

"That's not the problem, Pipp," Fluttershy said.

"Fluttershy's mane and tail were a lot longer than it is now," Twilight said. "Due to an alien invasion, her mane got caught on some debris. She had to get her hair cut so she could be free."

"My claws were the instrument that cut her mane," MC said.

"And it was my sister who had to aim MC's claws to do it," Sonic said.

"Guess it must've been an emergency," Pipp said.

"Fluttershy's mane might be shorter now, but it was for an emergency during the time," Rarity said. "I'd say her hair looks positively more lovely when it's shorter."

"Oh... um..." Fluttershy said. "You... really think so?"

"Perhaps with a little more bounce, you can be even more stunning," Pipp said. "We can make your inner beauty shine out."

"R-really?" Fluttershy asked.

"I'd listen to her, Fluttershy," Zipp said. "Basically, Pipp knows all the best hairstyles for those based on their personalities. She can probably make your mane even more stunning. She'll let your inner beauty shine out."

"Um... I... I don't know," Fluttershy said.

"Not the time, Pipp," MC said. "We got a bunch of planets to save. Let's hoof it."

"There's something we haven't heard in a while," Rainbow Dash said, making the rest of the Mane 6 laugh.

"What does that mean?" Sunny asked.

"Before Equestria was brought back to Earth, the most of the creatures of Equestria were all... quadrupeds," Twilight said. That comment made Sunny's eyes widen. The group, except for Sunny and Hitch, started going into the tunnel.

"Sunny?" Hitch asked. "Are you alright?"

"Another thing my dad was right about!" Sunny shouted, her fists up in the air.

The group continued through the tunnel. Twilight and Rarity had their horns lit up, and MC had his fist glowing in a golden aura, illuminating the tunnel.

"Ooh hoo hoo!" Izzy said. "Nice trick."

"It's just a simple light spell," Rarity said. "Unicorns learn this spell at a young age. How come you haven't?"

"Rarity, I think we all know the answer to that," Tails said. "Remember when the eight of us and Knuckles went into that future? Where everything there was on fire."

"Oh, that's right," Rarity said. "Rainbow Dash almost fell to her death."

"I kinda understood how Scootaloo was before MC made her wings bigger," Rainbow Dash said.

"Technically, I didn't make them bigger," MC said. "The cells that cause growth were dormant in only her wings. I just had to wake them up."

"Really?" Zipp asked. "That little filly's wings couldn't pick her off the ground?"

"She had a difficult time getting off the ground," Rainbow Dash said. "She gets a kick out of walking on clouds."

"Walking on clouds?" Pipp asked.

"Winged Equestrian creatures can walk on clouds," Twilight said. "It's a part of their magic."

"Wow," Zipp said. "Why didn't we try to do that when we went to Ponyville?"

"MC can walk on clouds," Tails said. "More importantly, he's walking on the water in the clouds."

"So that's why the cloud walking spell didn't work on him," Twilight said. Just then, they came across a bunch of pipes blocking their path. "Oh, great."

"These pipes are blockin' our path," Applejack said.

"Yo, MC, think you can cut through these pipes?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"No way," Tails said. "These pipes are hardwired with electricity. MC would be electrocuted if he cuts through those electric wires. And electrical burns will heal slower than he usually does when he normally gets wounded."

"There's gotta be a way to get through," Zipp said, leaning on a capsule. She looked in it and saw a violet wisp. Zipp then looked towards the others with a smirk.

"That's a terrible idea," MC said.

"Which is the only idea we have left," Zipp replied.








At the end of the tunnel, a black hole of some kind with creepy yellow eyes and a smile came out of the tunnel, consuming everything in its path. Tails, Maria, MC, the Mane 6, Sunny and her friends ran out of the tunnel behind the black hole. The black hole stopped and transformed into Sonic, who was panting heavily.

"Sonic... are you okay?" MC asked.

"That... was horrible, yet... filling," Sonic said. He then belched. The wisp was hovering next to Sonic. It was hovering in excitement.

"Tails, what's wrong with this one?" Twilight asked. "Why isn't it changing back?"

Tails looked at his Miles Electric, and he read what it was translating. "It says that the wisp is very freaked out about its new appearance, but is wondering what else he can do. Huh. I guess he just wants to see how far he can go with this new change."

"Hopefully, things will be back to normal when we're all done with this," MC said. Then he looked ahead. "Oh, you've gotta be kidding me."

The group looked ahead and they saw a flying robot guarding the generator.



Twilight, Sonic and Sunny started walking up towards the robot. Twilight then said, "Get to the generator. We've got this."

"On it, Sparkles," MC said. Then the others headed towards the generator.

"You know, I don't like what you're doing to my friends in there," Sonic said. "It's messed up. So I'm gonna mess you up." The robot just hovered in place. Sonic then started stretching. "Yeah, that's right. I'm stretching. You got a problem with that? I wanna be able to fully enjoy taking you apart without some pulled muscle slowing me down." He finished his stretching. "Okay, now I'm ready. Of course, if you want to run away, please feel free. There's no shame in it...well, maybe a little shame." The robot didn't respond, making Sonic shrug his shoulders. "You guys don't talk much do you? Fair enough. Don't say I didn't warn you."

"Sonic, I don't think it's gonna respond at all, except for its attacks," Sunny said.

"Oh, I know," Sonic said. "Just trying to rile it up."

Then the three of them started going after the robot. The rest of the group headed for the generator.

Meanwhile, back at the factory, Metal Sonic was taken down by Sally, Bunnie, Antoine and Rotor. All of the wisps that were there celebrated that they were free.

"Alright, MC," Sally said. "We've shut down the factory, freed all the wisps, and taken down Metal Sonic."

"That's good," MC said. "We're about to take down the last generator. We'll meet you back at Tropical Resort. See you there."

Then the four of them and the wisps that were in there left the building.

Back near the generator, MC and the rest of the group reached the generator. MC then started swinging his left arm in a windmill rotation, then he used it to break through the generator, and he pulled out the Chaos Emerald.



"That's the last one," MC said. Then there was an explosion. The group looked towards the robot. Then Twilight used a teleportation spell, bringing herself, Sonic and Sunny to the rest of the group. Twilight and Sunny had some burn marks on their clothes, and parts of their manes were singed. "That tough, huh?"

"You have no idea," Twilight responded.

"You guys did it!" Tails said.

"Couldn't have done it without you, buddy!" Sonic said.

"Thanks!" Tails responded. "Hey, we all deserve some kind of reward."

"Yeah! Let's go to an amusement park or something!" Sonic said.

"Ha ha, right. But, one that's, y'know, less evil than this one," Tails said. Everyone there started laughing.

"Any amusement park that's not run by Baldy McNosehair is always the better choice," MC said. They all laughed again.

"And with the generators down, all the wisps should be freeing themselves," Hitch said.

"I hope Yacker's okay," Tails said.

"I think he'll be fine," Sonic said, patting Tails's back. "You don't think the weapon you were shot with still works?"

"Not without power flowing to it," Tails said. "I think we're all good."

"That's what I like to hear," Sonic said. Then they all started heading towards the exit.
