//------------------------------// // Better call Saw // Story: Fallen Order: Undead to the end // by Jar Man //------------------------------// The judge looked down on me in disgust. "You are being found guilty of using an improvised explosive device to assassinate the Kasa Free State President, Lord Kobe of the warriors of sunlight" I gawked at the fact this son of a bitch called my bomb inferior. "I beg to differ your Honor, I used high quality material's and it was crafted meticulously. To call it an Improvised explosive device is an insult. And guilty? Your honor that would be a false claim because I feel no guilt nor remorse" My lawyer, Saw Goodmint lowered his head in shame and sighed. This all started after a meeting with President Albarca Remeedi, who was at one point the President of the Kasa Free State, requested I support them in their beef with Grifonia. They were having territory issues and it has resulted in bloody fights and many deaths, mostly civilian. I refused because my focus was up North with the Dread League, I've had reports of very dark and evil magic coming from that land of death and despair. So the President kind of got a little angry and I admit, I kind of got a little angry and now I'm being charged with assassination in Kasa. For now. The Judge huffed. "You are to be locked away until the end of time, we would happily execute you but we know of your rebirth abilities. That doesn't mean you wont be punished physically though, pray your God has mercy upon you" The courtroom shook violently, it was like an earthquake had happened under us. To the left side of the courtroom were three loud bangs. *BANG BANG BANG* The door to the courtroom was kicked down with a dead Zebra guard on top of it with three bullet holes in his chest. The person responsible for the grand entrance was none other than Stone Wall himself. "You can tell him all about this day when you get there yourself" He said before firing another shot this time towards the Judges head. In the back of the courtroom the double doors were kicked down and everyone watched as Zebra guards were killed by Warriors of Sunlight. Stone Wall approached me and I held out my wrists, he raised his axe and chopped the cuffs in half. Nearly took my foreskin in the process too. Stone Wall reached behind him and handed me my Zweihander, filianore chime, and dragon crest shield. My lawyer who was hiding under his desk slowly peered out from the desk once the chaos ended. He looked up at me with a look of disapproval. "My last client wasn't this bad" He muttered. I made my way out the courtroom where my Airship 'The Alcoholic Albatross'. Changed the name for copywrite reasons, turns out Disney will travel to other planets to serve me court papers. "Alright so now that I'm a war criminal In 7 countries, where do we want to go now?" I asked Stone Wall as we continued to the ship. "Princess Luna has sent a letter for your eyes only my Lord" Stone Wall said handing me a dark blue letter with the moons crest stamped on it. We got to the ship where I then entered my quarters, I sat down at my desk and opened the letter. It read "We hope this letter greets you well Kobe, we know it's been quite some time since you've spoken to us about that Nightmare you had. We know you're searching for answers and I believe I may have a lead for you. In Princess Twilights Library there was a book on the Dark Necromancer Rosa Maledicta, she was once a student in the school of gifted unicorns. She was outcasted for her darker magic abilities and was eventually banned from the school. The was her breaking point, she spent years studying the dark arts until she came upon an old book that talked about a far away land that was plagued with dark magic. She took this as a her calling and set forth towards this horrid place. Nothing more is known about her except the last time someone saw her was in a report from the Arcturian Order, it said she was seen preforming necromancing spells and blood magic. If this is who you're looking for then please be careful Kobe, Twilight would be very unpleased if you were taken down by a powerful Necromancer Once I finished reading the letter I tossed it into the drawer next to me then took a look at my map. We needed to head far north to the Arcturian Order and gain passage into the the land of the dead, no pun intended, I wasn't the best smooth talker out of the group but I had to try. I drew my knife from my hilt and stabbed into our new destination before heading topside. I got behind the ships wheel and called to my crew, "I want full sail, we are heading north!". The sails were set to full and we flew North. There were answers here I know it, I just hope it doesn't come at the cost of losing a single man...creature whatever. (4 days later) The cold dead air made me feel uneasy, somewhere here was possibly answers, but it could also be for nothing, there's only one way to find out. We docked the ship in the Arcturian Orders bay, Stone Wall, Lucky and I accompanied by 10 of my men as we entered the giant city of old stone and dust, I swear someone needs to hire a maid and clean this place up. Griffons, ponies, and many other creatures populated the city, almost everyone here wore armor that had A white cross on the chest plate. We were eyed by everyone, it wasn't the first time we've been stared down by a whole city of armed citizens and I wont say I blame them, I mean some deviously handsome badass and his boys are strolling through heir town right now. We eventually arrived in front of the city's main hall or castle thing, I had no idea what to all it since half of the buildings roof was missing. 4 Guards guarded the entrance and looked like they meant business. Luckily I was the rizzler of Equestria...minus the 35 restraining orders I totally do not have. The guards gripped their weapons tighter as I approached alone, "Gentlemen, I am here on a mission to save the world, and I need to speak with who ever is in charge please" I said with a confident tone. The guards remained silent but stared at me intensely, I pursed my lip in disappointment and tried plan B. "I have a bo-" Before I could finish the giant wooden doors to the building slowly opened and a head poked out. It was an old Griffin who had seen better days for sure, his feathers were falling off one by one and I could see my future on his bald spot. The griffon held out an envelope with Lunas seal on it. "I received the letter from Princess Luna, Lord Kobe" "Ah" I nodded. "So you know where we need to go?" "If you really are the only one She can't control then you may be our only hope at finally putting this witch down" He said opening the door wide open for us to enter. "I am Torygg, Headmaster of the Order, please come in. "Riiiight yes" I said with a big obviously lying smile under my helmet. We followed him inside, the Griffon looked frail and weak, like he hasn't been outside of this building in years, it also smelled like someone ripped the meanest ass so it was a dead, no pun intended, give away. "Where exactly are we going? Just so I can let Luna know before we begin our.... quest to stop this evil doer" The Griffon took us to another set of giant wooden doors and struggled to open them. We were introduced to a long dark hall that was dimly lit by torches along the walls. "We will take you to the wall that has protected the world for hundreds of years, we will let you do what you must to get inside, beware of the anti harmony magic the land is plagued by." He said. I smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder. "My brother in Allah have faith, I've been in worse situations. Like Stone Walls mothers ho-" A big hand slapped me so hard i made a small crater in the ground. "...ow" We were taken to the end of the hall, A steel door with a green magical chain held it shut tightly. The Griffin reached out to the chain and whispered something to it causing the chains to loosen and the door to open. It revealed the outside world and the dead land that was ahead. I along with my small squad of badasses stepped forward to proceed but the Griffin held his arm out to block the others off. "The living cannot risk becoming one of her puppets, they do not have the magic you do Lord Kobe" "Can I at least take Stone Wall? He's a homie and a very capable warrior" I asked strongly and totally not on my knees begging. Torygg shook his head. "I do not wish to have more living amongst these cursed lands let alone a Warrior of Sunlight. You are of the undead, with that you can make it much farther than your living comrades" A sigh of defeat left my lips. "Okay..." I looked up at Stone Wall. "I'll be quick man" Stone Wall nodded then I turned to the scary looking land that I had to traverse. I began my journey across the land towards Magehold, the ground around me was a sickly green and grey, bones and very decomposed corpses of past warriors and travelers were seen everywhere. The air smelled foul like Colins burnt tater tot casseroles. I know why you've come here Kobe, are you sure what you are looking for is worth it? "It is" I replied. The years I spent looking for this will have been worth it, the others will finally understand and everything will be made right. After I whooped Tireks ass I used my time to study ancient magics that were banned in Equestria and most other Nations. After some time I set an expedition to search for any forbidden magic I could get my hands on, and for 4 years I've collected dozens of forbidden magic but not the one I was looking for. Not until now at least. I have not spoken with Kelso in a while, I had been informed that he was telling my secrets and my plans to Celestia but he claimed it was out of 'Concern' for my safety and the well being of the Warriors of Sunlight. I took my most loyal Warriors whom I trusted personally and we set off on the expedition. Colin understood what I was doing but he stayed behind to maintain Order and security around Tartarus, he didn't believe Kelso was capable of leading the WoS himself and didn't want to risk downfall. Twilight knows everything, while she doesn't agree with most of it, she over thinks just like me and is worried I will hurt myself, but will support me as much as she can without risking national security of course. Luna was green lighting me the whole way, she helped with a few of my missions in Azir and Realms of Kiria, we found two artifacts, one could warp the soul of someone into whatever they feared most and the other turned only AB+ creatures into Chickens, was the last one worth it? Yes. She has had her disagreements with Celestia even when I was present, it was like watching your two gay moms argue in a basken robins. After hours of walking Celestia decided to finally set the sun leaving me in the dark cold and scary land of dead people. I found a dead tree I could rest by, sitting down I opened my pouch that seemed bottomless, I pulled out a fire gem and used the sticks from the tree to make a fire. I used my amazing strength to discombobulate the gem and set the sticks and myself on fire. I dropped and rolled around whilst panicking like an idiot. Once I was no longer on fire I laid next to the bonfire and sighed a sigh of mental exhaustion before closing my eyes. Immediately I was jolted awake, around me was the star filled world known as the dream world, a dark blue Pony with hair floating in a non existent wind as usual and shimmering like diamonds appeared in front of me with a smile on her face. "It is nice to see thou alive and well" Luna said with a pleased tone. I gave a snort. "I can't say I feel well Luna, I haven't spoken with anyone outside of you, not even Twilight, her last letter was filled with concern and doubts like come on man I'm so close! WE are so close Luna. This has to be the place we're looking for" I wasn't irritated with Twilight I was just disappointed that she didn't see the vision I saw for us. Luna sat next to me with a hand scratching my head to relax me. "Thou hast been through so much, We are sure Twilight is just worried, she has been dealing with other countries and even our own Nobles concerning your running away despite being ordered not to leave Equestria unless given permission by the Unified Kingdoms" I closed my eyes, angry with myself for putting her through so much. "I didn't mean to put her in that kind of situation, I didn't think it would matter since I would be doing the world a favor, no one would want me to live forever, It'd get annoying quick" The thought of the people many years from now locking me away forever just to get rid of me haunted my mind, If I can find this spell then I can make everything right and I won't have to live on forever, and wouldn't have to watch those I love die. "One can never satisfy the masses if they do not see thous vision. Some have even called you mentally unstable and would see you locked in a Asylum upon your return, though We will never allow that. Thou also has many supporters who still call you a hero and wish for your safe return so they can celebrate" She gently grabbed onto my left arm and leaned her head on my shoulder. We for one would be heartbroken if thou was to leave this world, one cant and shouldn't try to please everypony Kobe, it will only cause more damage to ones self " "Luna, I love you to death but I-I don't think we should be so close like this" I said trying to nudge her off. Luna silenced me with her magic. "It is just to comfort thee my friend, thou is very stressed and tired. Let thine help" She held me tighter, using her magic to put me in a deep sleep. In an instant I awoke from the darkness, the gray sky greeted me happily. Not literally just for extra word counting. I sat up and stretched before getting my gear, slipping my helmet on and continued my journey. I marched my way through a rocky mountain terrain and eventually came upon a large castle, it stood on a cliff overlooking the Dead Sea. The sky was noticeably darker, around the castle red lighting struck through the sky. A dirt and stone road led up to the castles gates, along the road was ruins of houses, skeleton warriors littered the road and buildings, but they haven't notice me yet. I drew my sword and readied my shield, walking down to the road, the skeletons all looked at me, none moved or made a noise. I tried counting how many there were but I stopped after reaching 27. I took a step closer and lighting struck the ground in front of me, I turned away and shook the blinding light away from my vision, looking back to the skeletons I was greeted by a mare in a dark red and black dress, pinkish gray coat and black hair tied into a bun made her very attractive. Her bright red eyes stared into my pure aryan baby blues, a sense of fear and discomfort crawled up my spine. The mare before me was the Necromancer Rosa Maledicta, it was obvious with that staff of hers, a unicorns skull being its head creeped me out. She eyed me up and down, seeming a little disappointed. "I expected you to be taller" She said with a smirk before turning around and gesturing me to follow her. I looked at my body, I drank a potion that made me 5 inches shorter and I swear it's not that bad but nooooo everyone comments on it, I was tired of hitting my head on peoples doorways okay?? Anyway, I quit my inner dialog and begin to follow her. "You know of me?" I asked, I wasn't sure the reputation of the Warriors of Sunlight reached a place like this, I doubted they had cable here. The mare glanced back at me. "Kobe, an undead human who, along with his undead friends raised an army to fight the demons of Tartarus, I know a lot about you. You specifically have been searching for a certain artifact that can cure your so called 'curse' " She sounded disgusted when mentioning the curse. "Some one consider it a gift you know..." I gave a 'uh huh' eyebrow raise. "Well I'm not 'some', by the way Lady Maledicta, I know of your kind, and I know what you are capable of" Rosa smirked. "Then you know not to try and cross me in my own home my little human?" "Lest you cross me first" I replied, hinting at the distrust with my tone. I followed her up to the castles doors, Rosa used her magic to swing the doors open, we stepped inside and the doors slammed shut behind us, I jumped at the loud bang but composed myself. The room we had entered had a long hall with many doors, I had assumed it was where guests would be before entering the throne room. I felt uneasy as this was so easy...almost too easy. I reached into my pouch and held the crystal phone tightly, it took a while but I managed to carve it into the shape of Gods chosen phone, the Nokia. I held it tightly and used its magic to quietly call someone. Rosa lead me pass the throne room and down a spiral set of stairs, as we walked torches with dark red flames lit up on the way down. "You've come for this spell, that much I understand. But if you would, tell me why you want to go back to being a mere mortal" Her tone sounded a bit disgusted at the word mortal, making me think this will not be easy. I bit the inside of my cheek, thinking my reason may sound stupid. "Well I don't want to go back to being a normal guy again, I just want to get rid of this curse, to never be allowed to pass on no matter how many times I am killed. And I have been killed many times, I never age which that I don't mind, I just don't want to be cursed to being hollow some day" The thoughts of finally being free from the curse sounded great, even though it is a guarantee of death at any moment. Rosa's interest was peaked, she glanced back with curiosity in her eyes. "Hollow?" "It's like uh...a walking corpse that can't stay dead" With raised brows and satisficed smile she turned around. "Ah...I wish I could have that ability for my flimsy soldiers you slayed on your way here" "Oh great she was watching me the whole time...could've offered a ride or something asshole" I thought to myself. "And here we are," She used her magic to open the black metal door. The room we entered looked like some other plain of existence, the walls were of blackish gray clouds, the floor had a single stone path that lead to an Altar, on it was a ruby colored box, black markings of a language I assumed was from the land of Schizos. I took a step forward into the room but was immediately frozen in place, my body was surrounded by a dark red aura, it felt like something was holding me in place...or someone. I noticed Rosa slowly coming around to the front of me. A wicked grin on her face. "You really do have to learn when to not trust someone Kobe, you revealed to me a very interesting thing. To escape permanent death and be as powerful is dream many in my council have. Now I can fulfill that dream" She stepped forward, close enough for me to feel her breath on my face. She reached up to my helmet and slowly removed it, My Blue and orangish red eyes stared into her rose red eyes. She inched closer to the left side of my ear and whispered. "Thank you for brining the last piece I needed for my Black Crusade"
