Project Fun

5. The True Meaning Of Fun

When the Dazzlings woke up that day, they realized that today was the day that partners would represent their projects to the class for the grade they hoped to get. Although none of them wanted to do the presentation, they needed the grade and even though they wouldn't say it out loud they cared for their partners and they didn't want to see their partners get a bad grade as well.

Arriving at Ms. Cheerilee's class, the three girls took their seats and awaited for class to begin. Once the bell rang the presentations would then begin, as every presentation would go by the Dazzlings wouldn't bat an eye as they would be doing their own thing as they watched everyone else go up and present their good or not so good presentations. However, thanks to a very "interesting" presentation from Snips and Snails as they would do a rap song that was the equivalent of a cat scratching its nails against a chalkboard would finally catch the Dazzling's attention. Aria and Adagio held back their laughter while recording the monstrosity as their sister, Sonata was rocking to the beat nodding her head. Ms. Cheerilee who was in the back of the room could only sigh at the sight before her.

Moving on it was finally Aria and Fluttershy's presentation, Aria sighed as she got up while Fluttershy shyly got up from her seat and walked toward the front of the class. Once making it to the front of the class and seeing their animal friends the two girls smiled and then got to their presentation. The two girls looked at each other and smiled as they then gave the animals the cue to begin their dance. As soon as they began they were no backing down the class, along with Ms. Cheerilee, was mesmerized with the dance from beginning to end. When the animals finished their dance everyone in the classroom clapped and cheered, impressed by the dance. Fluttershy, Aria, and the animals smiled as they looked around the room seeing everyone enjoy their performance and presentation.

"Not bad, Fluttershy." Fluttershy who was still smiling at the class turned to face Aria in surprise. Aria who noticed Fluttershy's surprised expression, smiled. "It was thanks to you that we were able to get this done." Aria looked up to see Ms. Cheerilee happily writing down some notes in her notebook. "And it looks like we've managed to pass this project with a good grade." Aria smiled as she looked down at Buttercup who happily looked up at Aria. "And if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have gotten Buttercup."

Fluttershy smiled at Aria's words. "Well, I couldn't have done it without my partner." Fluttershy looked up at Aria with a smile and a small blush. "And I'm glad that you and Buttercup have gotten so close." The two girls smiled as walked the animals out of the room and back into the animal shelter vehicle.

When the girls got back they noticed that it was Pinkie's and Sonata's turn to present their project. When Fluttershy and Aria got to their seats they saw Pinkie and Sonata handing out food to everyone in the class. When Sonata dropped off the food on Aria's desk, Aria could only look at the food in utter confusion. "What the?" Aria looked around to see everyone else looking at the food just as confused.

Sonata and Pinkie then make it back to the front of the room after delivering everyone a bit of the food. Pinkie then smiled, not caring about everyone's confused expressions. "Go on and try it, we hope you guys enjoy it!" Pinkie and Sonata smiled as everyone continued to look at the two of them as if they weren't already weirdos.

However, not wanting to be rude to the two girls everyone soon decided to take a bite of what, Pinkie and Sonata called, sweet tacos. One by one everyone started eating the sweet tacos as Pinkie and Sonata watched and waited to get the answer they were wanting to hear. And sure enough, they got their answer, and before they knew it everyone started eating the sweet tacos with smiles on their faces. Adagio and Aria, who normally weren't fond of tacos, since Sonata made them too many times to count, they had to admit, the sweet tacos tasted amazing.

Sonata smiled seeing everyone enjoying the tacos, even Mrs. Cheerilee was happily munching down on her taco while writing down some notes. Seeing this made her nervous for a second but Sonata had full confidence that she and Pinkie's project would be a success! "They like the tacos! They actually like the sweet tacos, Pinkie!" Sonata jumped up and down in joy as she then hugged Pinkie.

Pinkie smiled brightly as she hugged Sonata back. "I know right? They're a hit! We could make a business out of this!" The two girls looked at each other and smiled, wondering how far they could go with their newly made food. The two girls then picked up two tacos they had made sure to keep for themselves to eat and happily ate them along with their class.

After finishing their tacos, the class got back to business and started finishing the rest of their presentations. Before they knew it, it was finally Rarity and Adagio's turn to show off their project. Adagio and Rarity made their way to the front of the class, outside of the class were Applejack and Rainbow who were all dressed up and ready to be shown to the whole class. Even though the girls didn't want to be shown to the class as some sort of models, they did owe Rarity a favor.

Inside the girls could hear Rarity and Adagio go on about what they did to the two of them and how they made Rainbow and Applejack look, as Rarity would say, absolutely fabulous with their fashion and makeup. However, with neither girl knowing anything about makeup and fashion, the girls could only listen in confusion on what the two girls were talking about which sounding like baby talk to them.

Applejack had her ear against the door trying to listen in on the conversation while Rainbow was looking at herself and AJ and was starting to have different thoughts about being one of Rarity's models for her project. "Should we make a run for it?" Applejack turned to face Rainbow and gave her a hard stern. Rainbow quickly put her hands up in defense and let out a nervous laugh. "Alright sorry, it was just an idea."

"And now we would like to show you all our finished products." Rainbow and Applejack then heard Rarity's voice and soon got ready for the door to open. The door then opened and Rarity smiled seeing her two friends, she then let them in as the two girls then walked into the classroom. Upon entering the room the two girls were showered with praise and applause from the class. Applejack and Rainbow smiled as their classmates cheered for them, and Adagio and Rarity smiled that the class enjoyed their highly fashionable project.

Adagio looked at Rainbow who was happily showing off Rarity's outfit to the class, and Adagio couldn't help but be impressed. "I gotta admit, you sure made Rainbow look fantastic. I was wrong, you sure do know your fashion sense." Adagio said as she looked at Rarity with a smile seeing Applejack and Rainbow having a competition on who could do the better pose and reaction from the crowd before them.

"Well, you certainly made Applejack look stunning, darling. Why even I couldn't pull something like that off even if I tried." Looking at Applejack, Rarity couldn't believe just how amazing Adagio made her look. "And perhaps I was a tad bit rude to you as well. You know your fashion just as much as I do, so for that, I'm sorry." Adagio smiled and nodded, accepting Rarity's apology. The two of them had come a long way from when they first started the partner project, but now the two of them were finally on even terms showing off both of their accomplishments.

Once the girls were done with their competition and Mrs. Cheerilee was done writing her notes the girls were finally able to sit back down. Not much long later everyone had presented thus marking the end of Project Fun. As the bell rang signaling the end of class Mrs. Cheerilee made sure to give everyone their grades as they walked out of the room. Looking down the Dazzlings couldn't help but smile as they all noticed they had passed the project with an A. They also couldn't help but notice the depressed faces on Snips and Snails faces, most likely the rap song they made didn't get the grade they thought it would.

Leaving Mrs. Cheerilee's classroom, the Dazzlings started their adventure back home. "Well girls, I would say that this project went better than expected." Adagio said still smiling at her grade. If it wasn't for Rarity who knows what her grade would've looked like? And even though Adagio wasn't fond of working together with people, her time working with Rarity was a good one.

Sonata nodded her head with a big smile admiring her grade. "I told you two it would be better than you thought! It was so much fun working with Pinkie and making those delicious tacos! And because of it, we got these amazing grades!" Being that it was her first time ever getting an A on something, Sonata was beyond happy, to say the least.

Aria rolled her eyes at Sonata's actions, although she couldn't help but agree with Sonata. If she didn't decide to agree then what would have happened? Would she still of meet Buttercup and have her as a pet or would the two never crossed paths without pairing up with Fluttershy? "Yeah, I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." Aria then looked down and looked at her grade which showed a big A on top making her smile. "And I guess in the end it was all worth it."

Adagio nodded her head, she couldn't help but agree with her sisters. At the beginning things neither her or Aria wanted to participate in the partner project but thanks to Sonata the two decided to give it a try and work together with Rarity and Fluttershy. By doing that the girls were able to not only work together and get a good grade on their project but they were also able to make some new, dare they say, friends in all of this. Pinkie and Sonata got closer than ever before, Aria was able to get a pet from it, and Adagio was able to find someone who she could talk to about fashion.

Now although the Dazzlings and the Rainbooms might have had some bad blood in the past, that was all in the past. And even though Adagio didn't want to admit it, she had to admit that Project Fun was actually pretty fun, it truly did bring out the fun like it was supposed to do. And Adagio had to admit, 'I guess the Rainbooms aren't as bad as I thought they were.' With that the Dazzlings made their way home, wondering when it would be the next time they would get to hang out with their new friends.
