As me and Twilight stepped off the train, I continued to look down at the ground. I knew that I would miss Flurry, but I didn't realise how much. Twilight noticed my mood and put a comforting hoof on my shoulder. "I know it's tough being away from Flurry," she said. "But don't worry, we'll figure out a way for you two to be together soon."
I looked up at Twilight, giving her a small smile. After that, we continued to walk toward the castle. Twilight pointed out various buildings, saying stuff about each one. I tried to keep up with what she was saying, but quickly got overwhelmed by all the information.
Eventually, we arrived at her castle and when we entered the castle, my jaw fell open as I looked at the inside of the castle in amazement.
Twilight giggled as she said, "so I take it that you like the castle. " I slowly nod my head, my mouth still wide open
"It's incredible," I said, still in awe.
Twilight looked at me and smiled “i’m glad you like it”
She said before give me a tour of the castle
As we walked thought the hall’s i felt like a little kid looking at everything.
The castle was like nothing I had ever seen before. There were towering bookshelves lining the walls, filled with countless volumes of knowledge. Sparkling chandeliers hung from the ceiling, casting shimmering light across the room. The floors were made of gleaming marble, and intricate tapestries hung on the walls.
Twilight led me through the halls, pointing out various rooms and telling me stories about the history of the castle.
Then she walked into the throne room an the was a blue pony with a rainbow mane standing there standing there
I looked at the blue pony with a rainbow mane standing in the throne room, feeling a bit confused. Twilight noticed my confusion and introduced me to her friend. "Zack, this is my good friend Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash, meet Zack," she said.
Rainbow Dash grinned and gave me a friendly nod. "Hey there, nice to meet ya," she said.
I gave a small smile
Twilight turned to Rainbow Dash and said, "Hey Rainbow, I was wondering if you could spend some time with Zack just to make him feel a bit more comfortable here."
Rainbow Dash replied, "I would love to, Twilight, but I have to go back to Ponyville tomorrow."
Twilight thought for a moment before asking, "How about this? Would you like Zack to come with you to Ponyville? I think it would be good for him to see more of Equestria and meet some of our other friends."
Rainbow Dash . took a second to think before a smirk appeared on her face “Sure, why not? Who knows it might be fun having some other guy to hang out with," she said, nudging playfully
I wasn’t really sure about this plan though. I just came to this castle and now i am already leaving
Twilight noticed my hesitation and said, "Don't worry, Zack. I promise you're going to enjoy being with her. Plus, Rainbow Dash is the best flyer in Equestria. "
I thought about it for a moment and then nodded my head. "Okay, I'll go," I said.
Rainbow dash had a smile on her face as we both began to leave the castle, As we walked towards the outskirts of the town, Rainbow Dash said “you don't’ need to hide your true form i already know your a changeling and no one else is here”
I was taken aback by her words. "You... you know?" I stuttered, feeling my heart race in my chest.
Rainbow dash looked at me a bit concerned "ya twilight told me, but why do you want to hide that fact from other ponies"
I hesitated for a moment before answering. "I don't know, I guess I'm just shy about it. It's not something that's accepted by most ponies," he said, feeling a bit embarrassed.
Rainbow Dash nodded in understanding. "Yeah, I can see why it would be tough. But you know what? I think it's really cool that you can transform into anything you want whenever you want!" she exclaimed, a grin spreading across her face.
I couldn't help but smile at Rainbow Dash's enthusiasm letting out a small chuckle.
“I didn’t think that ponies would be this accepting”
Rainbow Dash shrugged. "Hey, we're all different in our own way, and that's what makes us awesome. Plus, I know what it's like to feel different and not quite fit in."
I nodded, feeling grateful for Rainbow Dash's understanding. As we continued to walk, we talked about our differences and our struggles we had growing up,
Rainbow told me how she once wanted to be like the wonderbolts and how she wanted to fly alongside them and now she is the captain of the wonderbolts.
As we continued to walk she preceded to tell me about how she became captain of the wonderbolts,
She also told me about some of the adventures she went on with her friends
“And that’s how we defeated the there villains” rainbow said looking a bit proud as I rolled my eyes with a smirk on my face “oh sorry i just realised that i have been going on about myself” she said a bit of blush appearing on her face
“No worries it’s fine” I said , laughing it off, “I never got the chance to ask you about your past, how did you come to be the way you are?” rainbow said looking a bit curious,
“well there is not much to tell i am pretty sure twilight told you everything” well yes twilight did tell me” she said giving a little chuckle “but i want to hear it from you, what’s your story” I rolled my eyes and for the rest of the walk i told rainbow dash my entire story. “That’s it” she said looking a bit disappointed “what about before you came to the empire” “i don’t remember what happened before that” i said trying to seem calm. Rainbow looked at me before giving a smirk “say have you ever used your wings before or are they just for show” “for show?” i replied a confused look on my face, “what i am trying to do is to challenge you to a race tomorrow”
I raised an eyebrow in surprise. "A race?" I repeated, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves.
Rainbow Dash nodded eagerly. "Yeah! I've never raced against a changeling before, and I bet you're pretty fast with those wings of yours. What do you say?"
I stopped taking a second to think before agreeing “ok rainbow dash i accept your challenge”
“A race” i said with a surprised look
Rainbow Dash nodded,with a smile on her face. "That's right! And don't worry, it'll be a friendly competition. We'll just see who's faster," she said, playfully nudging my shoulder.
I chuckled. "Okay, I'm up for it. But I have to warn you, I can be pretty fast when I want to be," I said, spreading them out to emphasise his point.
Rainbow smiled “i guess that a yes” she said letting out a small chuckle “we can have to race through the canyon tomorrow let get a hotel room for the night”
Nodded my head as we walked through the streets of Ponyville, as a minute later Rainbow Dash started talking about her past races and some of the strategies she's used to win them. I listened attentively, taking mental notes on how I could use my own abilities to my advantage.
After a while, we arrived at a small hotel on the outskirts of town and before we entered changing my form to look like a pony, rainbow looked back at me seeing me change my form "i am never going to get used to that" she said giggling
I chuckled as we walked into the hotel lobby. The receptionist greeted us warmly and gave us the keys to our room. As we made our way to the room, I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous about the race tomorrow. I had never competed in a race before, let alone against a pony as fast as Rainbow Dash.
But i shrugged it off, “there’s no reason to be scared” i said to myself trying to rescue myself
Once we got to our room, we both walked in to the room i imminently flopped onto one of the bed
Feeling exhausted
Rainbow Dash laughed at my dramatic flop onto the bed. "Tired already? Better rest up, tomorrow's gonna be a big day " she said with a playful grin before leaving the room “i’ll be back i’m just going to tell twilight”
I nod my head before falling asleep
