*Spottedleaf's POV*
Red, it was all I could see since I had been slain in battle against the Dark Forest. Knowing I wouldn't be able to see Firestar in StarClan, I silently prayed to the founding leader of ThunderClan for a second chance at life. The next thing I knew, I was reincarnated as a seven year old anthro cat in a whole new world. But most of my memories had been erased. Memories of my family and my Clanmates had been completely erased.
I groan as I got up, not realizing that I had a different body.
Looking for a pond to get some water into my stomach since my mouth was dry, I soon realize that I was not a normal cat anymore.
I yowl loud, scaring what seemed to be a small horse.
I immediately backed away since my primal instinct was to run away but a larger horse with strange powers had a hold of me.
I mewl in fear since I was terrified, plus I couldn't quite understand what the larger horse was talking about.
I think "Great StarClan, I have to run!"
But due to the odd grip that the larger horse had on me, I couldn't escape.
Suddenly, some sort of energy went into my throat thus causing me to understand the other horses.
I hiss "What was that for?!?"
The large horse spoke "Calm down young cat, I mean you no harm."
I hiss "Yeah right! My kind is terrified of getting trampled by you horses."
The smaller horse gasps "That's awful... But I'd never hurt you."
I was a bit skeptical at that.
I hiss "Who are you?"
The large horse spoke "Twilight, I'm leaving this cat in your care. Something tells me her herbal knowledge might come in handy. I'll have a word with Cadence so that she knows that she'll be helping out."
Twilight asks "W-What? Are you sure, Princess Celestia?"
Celestia spoke "She's just a frightened child with no sight of her parents though."
I hiss in annoyance.
Twilight spoke "*Nervously* Uh…"
I growl "What?"
My tail was twitching a bit in annoyance before I spot a pink horse of the same variant as that white one enter the garden.
Cadence spoke "Hello!"
My ears were flattened a bit since I was wary.
Cadence asks "Huh? Are you okay?"
Twilight spoke "She's just wary of you Cadence. Plus I don't think she's from Canterlot at all... She smells like medicine."
I kept to myself for a while since I was getting a lot of weird stares.
Cadence spoke "I’m sure it’ll work out."
Twilight spoke "I don't know Cadence. I think she's not Equestrian born..."
Cadence asks "Not Equestrian born? What do you mean by that Twilight?"
Twilight asks "Remember Spike?"
I scoff "I was a regular cat once..."
Twilight asks "What are you talking about?"
I spoke "It's none of your concern."
Celestia soon returns.
Celestia spoke "I had a talk with the doctors about the cat though, they suggested that she train under them to hone her skills since she seems to be a skilled herbalist."
That caught my attention.
Celestia spoke "Plus one of the doctors found a dragon egg recently, I'm rather curious if the cat can use magic... If she has the potential for it."
Okay, now I’m motivated.
The egg was soon brought in on a hay filled wagon, it was a sky blue color with a white underside.
Focusing my mind, I imagine the magic flowing out of my claws.
A gust of wind kicked up as I shot magic into the dragon egg, causing it to hatch.
A female skyfire dragon chick yawns after breaking out of the shell.
I… I… I just couldn’t help but find it adorable.
Twilight spoke "How peculiar, feathered dragons are rather rare. And by the looks of her, she's an air and fire elemental."
I spoke "Hmm, she'll need a name."
Cadence asks "How about... Wendy?"
I spoke “Perfect!”
Twilight spoke "Speaking of names, we never got your name though."
I giggle "My bad, I'm Spottedleaf."
Twilight spoke "I’m Twilight Sparkle."
I spoke "My name is rather unusual..."
I soon glance at a nearby pond, realizing that as an anthro cat, my upper body would require items to cover it.
I sheepishly ask "If it's not too much trouble to ask, could I get something to cover my body?"
Cadence spoke "Sure thing."
I spoke "Plus I'll need some sort of alias... One that I'll go by when interacting with others."
Twilight asks "Hmm... How about Leaf?"
“Really?” I asked in surprise.
Twilight spoke "Most ponies don't know what you are though, let alone the fact you're not Equestrian-born. We should keep that a secret."
“Okay.” I answered.
Twilight spoke "We're going to get along great!"
“Really?” I asked.
Twilight spoke "Yeah."
Celestia thinks "Perhaps taking on a second student can help me understand Leaf's nature."
*Some time later,*
I was wearing a simple flower print dress to keep my upper chest covered.
“I hope I get used to this world.” I said to myself.
Wendy was soon on my head.
“Aww…” I cooed, still looking at my adorable adopted little sister.
I thought about my former world, knowing that I would never be able to go back to it since I was dead.
I spoke "I don't know how to sing though..."
Wendy cooed on my head.
Spike chirped.
I ask "So uh, where should I stay?"
Twilight spoke "If you want, you can stay with me."
I spoke "I don't have parents though so I'm pretty much an orphan. But I should warn you now, I do eat meat."
Twilight spoke "O-Oh. Well, Spike and Wendy might eat those too. So okay."
Carrying Wendy on my head and the other dragon in my arms, I follow Twilight to her house.
Twilight spoke "Mom! Dad! I’m home!"
Mrs. Sparkle spoke "Welcome home dear and I see you brought a friend with you."
Twilight asks "Actually… Is it okay if I ask you and dad something?"
I explained to Twilight's parents that I had no parents and no place to call home.
Mr. Sparkle asks "What sort of diet do you have?"
I spoke "I'm a carnivore by nature since I can't digest flowers that well."
Mrs. Sparkle spoke "I'll let Shining know that we have another member of the family."
“Shining?” I asked in confusion.
Twilight spoke "He's my older brother."
Shining soon returns home with a young Pegasus colt. The colt had a two-tone sapphire blue mane with matching tail, a brilliant gamboge coat and vivid cornflower blue eyes along with a two tone shield and lightning bolt cutie mark.
Much to my amusement, Twilight had bolted to her room in embarrassment.
Mr. Sparkle spoke "Hi Shining."
Shining spoke "Hey dad."
I was snickering since Twilight was flustered.
I giggle "Real smooth mister, you just embarrassed your younger sister when you brought back that colt."
Shining asks "Who's this?"
Mr. Sparkle spoke "This is Leaf, Princess Celestia arranged for her to stay with us since she doesn't have parents or a home. And before you ask, she does eat meat since she can't digest plants that well."
Shining spoke "Oh."
I spoke "Nice to meet you."
Keeping my claws sheathed, I shook paw-hand with Shining Armor.
Shining spoke "Likewise."
Mr. Sparkle asks "So Shining, who's the colt?"
Shining spoke "This is Flash Sentry."
I spoke "And judging by Twilight's reaction... I think she's either embarrassed or in love..."
And so, I adjusted to life with the Sparkle family.
