//------------------------------// // Interrogations and New Arrangements // Story: Starlight’s Dimensional Drama // by Starlight Fan //------------------------------// Starlight once again, felt dizzy as she woke up, this time she was in some fancy compartment and when her vision cleared, she found that Chef and some white skinned human with baggy green pants and a blue shirt were looking over her. “Oh good. You’re awake. I was getting bored.” The smaller human said happily. Starlight soon saw she had been tied up and some ring had been placed on her horn. “Wh-What’s going on?!” Starlight asked fearfully before she received a shock and once it passed, she saw the small human holding a remote. “Calm down weird pony. You’re in my personal quarters. We just need to ask you some questions. You ARE from another dimension.” The man said. Starlight blinks when she hears this, so she raises an eyebrow, “How’d you know that?” “Unicorns don’t exist in this world. Plus you were first seen on this plane so… it wasn’t a stretch for me and Chris to assume you aren’t from here.” Chef spoke up. “Chef’s got a point dudette. So… can you tell us where you’re from? The sooner we get this over with the better.” Chris told the unicorn. Starlight sighed, it was best to comply with this Chris man’s orders, “I’m Starlight Glimmer. I’m from this dimension called Equestria. It’s a place that’s full of ponies. It’s a place that thrives off of magic.” “Alright. How’d you get here?” Chris asked. “Well… a pony by the name of Cozy Glow got her hooves on some ancient artifacts which made a magical portal that sucked me into this dimension.” Starlight explained awkwardly, she decided to leave out the part where Cozy Glow was a filly. The fact that she even got manipulated by a child was embarrassing for her. “Is there, like, anyway you can get back to your dimension… at all?” Chris asked curiously. “My magic barely works, plus I can’t open portals to other dimensions. I’m practically trapped here.” Starlight spoke sadly, tears starting to brim from her eyes. Chris seemed disturbed by the tears and waved his arms defensively, “Okay, okay. No waterworks please. I can’t deal with so much sappiness.” Chef just rolled his eyes at this remark. “Okay then, I have an idea. Chef, we need a private conference.” Chris spoke firmly before they moved away from Starlight and began to huddle. “What the heck do we do man? We gotta film the next episode tomorrow.” Chef said with a hushed tone. “Yeah. That’s what I’m trying to tell you. I’m thinking we start involving this Starlight in new challenges.” Chris whispered with a smirk. “What?” Chef asked incredulously, “People will lose their minds if they see her Chris. Are you out of your mind… well more than usual?” “Oh my mind is perfectly fine Chef. I was just thinking that the existence of a unicorn will totally make ratings skyrocket. People will be so interested in this show that we’ll last forever.” Chris smiled giddily. “Well how do you suggest we justify her presence?” Chef said in annoyance. “Easy. We’ll just say that she was exposed to some radiation in Japan. Given how insane our show is, the viewers will believe it.” Chris explained. “And the contestants?” Chef asked sternly. Chris stammered a bit before sighing, “I guess they have a right to know what’s really going on. They’re not as brain dead as they look.” Chef sighed before saying, “I guess we should do this. After all, she’s got nowhere else to go and we sure can’t let her go wandering around the Earth and causing a panic.” Chris nodded before turning back to Starlight and walking over to her, “Okay Starlight, here’s the deal.” Meanwhile, back in Twilight’s castle, the alicorn herself woke up from her bedroom and sighed, by now, her emotions had calmed down considerably since she heard the news about Starlight but she was still depressed. Twilight soon walked around the castle when she saw that Spike, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity were all sitting in the throne room. “Girls?” Twilight asked curiously, “What are you doing here?” “I let them in.” Spike explained solemnly, “I figured you could use some company after… y’know…” “Twilight, we know you well sugarcube and there’s no way that what happened to Starlight did not hurt you.” Applejack said stern, yet calm. “Of course it hurts, why would I deny that? Starlight’s one of my best friends and now because of me, she’s gone forever!” Twilight said, tears starting to brim from her eyes. “Darling, you have no reason to blame yourself.” Rarity said reassuringly, “Cozy Glow did this to her, not you.” “But if I had been more careful with Cozy Glow, I could have stopped her from getting as far as she did and Starlight would still be here and safe. What kind of Princess am I? What kind of friend am I?” Twilight said sadly. “One of the bestest friends in Equestria.” Rainbow Dash flew up to Twilight’s face as she spoke sternly. “Yeah! You can’t let this bring you down… completely.” Pinkie Pie added as bubbly as she could given the circumstances, “You still improved Starlight’s life while she was still here and affected a lot of creature’s lives positively too. Even Neighsay admits he was wrong about the school.” “Besides like you said in the Changeling invasion, she didn’t just fool you, she fooled everyone.” Fluttershy reminds the alicorn, “If you’re at fault, all of us are.” “I guess you’re right.” Twilight sighed, “But I still feel terrible. Starlight’s gone, and this time, it’s not just a fantasy.” “Wait what?” Pinkie Pie asked in confusion. “Twilight was stressing about what she had planned for Starlight in her graduation and she got carried away with the What Ifs.” Spike explained. “Ohhhhhhh.” Pinkie Pie said, now figuring it out. “Well, we should probably tell you this. We’re planning on having a memorial for Starlight.” Applejack spoke up, “Given everything that happened, we feel it’s fitting.” “We feel it’s warranted, for all we know, we’ll never see her again.” Rainbow Dash said awkwardly. “You’re right.” Twilight sighed sadly, “It’s what she deserves.”
